[Declined] Harsher punishments.

The self destruct should be 100 exp loss for 1

 

And in team battles, if you sabotage your team, you will lose 200 exp for every attempt.

 

If you get banned for something serious, you will lose 500-1000 exp, depending on how bad it gets.

 

And to prevent abuse of going down a rank and ranking back up, you will not be able to go down a rank.

Many players are already complaining that the self-destruct penalty is too strict, so increasing even more will cause an outrage. Light hulls will find it completely impossible to get any score without losing it, while on maps like Madness literally no one will ever have any score.

 

Adding fines for sabotage doesn't make sense. It's impossible to make a reliable automated system that detects intentional sabotage. If developers could make such a feature, we would already have an auto-ban system for battle violations.

 

Getting fined EXP for bans only benefits the banned players. It means the more they get banned, the longer they stay on the same rank and therefore they can accumulate more crystals to upgrade their equipment and easily dominate other players, who progress through ranks at a normal rate and didn't earn as many crystals. The only kind of fine for bans that makes sense is a crystal fine.

Well especially with light hulls you get flipped easily if you jump down somewhere.

Even it you think it is save, there is just this one smoky waiting on the other side of tha map.. that spotted a double armour dropped next to a bridge on the lower ground.. and waits for some guy driving on the bridge jumping down to collect the drop box.

 

Also when passing ramp edges a skilled railgunner can flip over hornets across the map, that take the edge with too much speed.

 

And then.. no skilled team player would kill those poor flipped guys.

It would not be fair to punish those players as well

 

 

In XP BP flipping enemies happens at least 5 times per game.. the players would receive way less crystals just for trying hard.

I agree. I think the Self-Destruct if fine where it is. Stricter Rules could make people leave the game forever.

How about no. It would be EXTREMELY UNFAIR for us light hulls who try our best but still keep getting flipped by Vulcans , Smokys and Railguns that after they flip us purposely leave us flipped so our team has 1 less player for at least 10 seconds . If anything it should be reduced to 5 exp

Vulcans, and Smokys arnt really your problem. Its Railguns that are for light hulls Mainly Wasp. 

I don't think you should reduce the XP. Like the Mod said, it gives Mults a advantage. Because You can rank as fast, so they can get better equipment. IE: The quote below

ehm... hmm....

 

you mean, your feature gives me

- a free way to keep my battle score high and earn crystals as usual if I self destruct?

- but at the same time I can keep my experience "controlled" and prevent my account from ranking up?

 

Cool :) Then I will be able to stick to my todays rank and earn enough crystals to purchase all M3 Kits!

I would immediatly buy this feature. But I guess tanki will never give that to us ;)

but back on topic:

instead of punishing them for flipping, you could think of a better way to spot mults.

But actually.. there is already some good work regarding that issue, it is called "kick 2.0", you can find it in the forum, read it and like it if you like it ;)

Unfortunately.. The idea is around for more then 1year now.. but the devs do not implement it.

 

(some poster there wrote, that tanki might earn crystals by mults.. and I think they are right. Raising a mult up to a usefull rank takes some time.. and drugs are a great way to skip time. So the company has a direct advantage by not handling mults too harsh; whlie the have only a indirect disadvantage of loosing other customers on the other end (which cant be easily calculated or meassured.. so.. hmm.. forget about it ? :p )

Hmmm.... Well yes self destructing can be a bit harsh. However, it tends to get abused a lot. In XP/BP matches self destructing is very common in the 1v1s. You cap one flag then self destruct. Yeah you're KD isn't going to be perfect. But in battles you will be winning every time. In places like Madness, yeah it is annoying. Unfortunately, self destructing is still not harsh enough in some battles but in some its too harsh.

Personally I think it would be good if when using ''PRO PASS'' you can change what punishment SDs give. For example I could change it to instead of a kill loss I lose a capture point in CTF mode.
