New balance changes and other features

Pretty much everthing about the update has been a plus so far, except for a few things.

1) Freeze is too strong. It does ALOT of damage, and ALOT of freezing. One needs to be lowered- if a freeze starts shooting you, there is almost no way to get out of it.

2) DR is boring. Dictator is clunky, and railgun reloads slowly. Slow, boring gameplay- we will see if it catches on or anything.

Railgun reload too slow lol if anything it's way too quick after this rebalance

I played a few games today and mostly, players were complaining about the changes: 'Switching around Hunter and Viking stats' Nobody expect a Viking when they buy a Hunter. That's really a really bad decision IMHO.

Uniformity in stats: There is basically 3 Hulls now, instead of 7. That is BAD, Diversity is what make a game fun.

Turrets, well, I see Firebirds and Freezes everywhere in DM now.

What I personally noticed:

Hammer stopped one-two shotting everything in sight with DD: Good.

Isida isn't a self-healing powehouse solo pawn-mobile anymore: Good - Yeah, you Isida now have to use Repair Kits like everyone else.

Shaft lost the Penetrating power entirely - No more double/triple kills.

Rail is less powerfull but shoot more often - With now 100% Penetarting power at m4, at DD it is now very powerfull for multiple kills at range.

* What affected me and other Shaft users: The Shaft is buggy, some shots don't register at all - NOT the damage counter not apearing, shots just don't register. 0 damage. Nada. Easy, static shots on Immobile targets. Zerp damage. No, it is not lag. Maybe other turrets suffer the same glitch, I haven't noticed.

Rainbow screen bug: Sometimes, there is graphic glitch and the screen get greenish/rosy with pixelised glicthes all over. No it is NOT my computer.

I need to test this more, but it seems to me that tanks tend to stop in the middle of nowhere, from full speed to zero, as if they hit an obstacle or got superglued to the ground.

I am not happy so far, but I will give myself some more time to get the hang of it before commenting again. :(

It seems inarguable that this update frustrates the skilled specialists beyond belief.

The most unique features of equipment were altered and shuffled or just flattened.

Wasp and viking are good examples. Some say they were "beefed," but skilled specialists seem to all agree the hulls are now annoying, practically useless.

I favored twins. My twins-viking (well MUd M3s) was simply fun! I danced around medium and heavy opponents and sparred directly with light hulls. My rapid pounding and constant motion and rapid turret targeting used to get me called "hacker." Now I'm ranked enough to be playing mostly players with much more experience. They know I'm not hacking, but they often still express annoyance. It was fun to rampage through a half-dozen opponents and destroy them all (sometimes). Now, if I manage such an assault at all, it is from hanging back and keeping them in each other's line of fire. I cannot charge in and dodge and slay. It just doesn't work now.

Now, the combination is a pathetic, slow, sluggish drudgery. It seemed my killing potential was about the same, but my tactics just wouldn't work. There was just no response when I demanded of my rig. Turning and turret turning were simply infuriating because I could not do now what I could do yesterday. I had a nimble and responsive rig. Now it is a lumbering brute.

I'll say again, the field has been leveled. Poor players now have less disadvantage, especially if they will fork out $20 for 1500 supplies every few weeks. Skilled players now have little hope. Determined players may find new skills, new advantages, but the fun I had was taken by this update.

Cedric asks for more time. I will give it, but I am not optimistic.

I've played for over 30 months, with roughly 800 hours on my six different accounts, each with a different specialty.

I have seen the ups and downs, and I've stuck it out. I've read the whining and complaining and thought most of it unjustified. Some of it was justified. Some of the changes were simply bad. This update seems the worst by far to me. It took out the fun.

The new update for tanki that you developer made has screw up many players and cause a large number of player hating on it because of the update. The change for Railgun, isida, and Hornet is completely useless to use in battle because 1. its useless in battle 2. its too weak for combat like isida self healing, and 3. the game is not even balance at all. The update impact a lot of things for example the firebird got way to strong and its more overpower then the update and isida is now really useless to play in combat and it makes me feel really weak when i play it and then there is the hornet everyone use them now but why make them same health its fine if its not the same health and the upgrade i have for hornet m2 is like 100 health more then wasp m1 that angers me because thats the hull i always use. Please undo the damage on tanki that you developer im not trying to hate on you im speaking the truth about the new so call balance change its not even balance. Bring back the way we like it!

I agree with you about Isida, it got nerfed hard, and M2 rail has to 3 shot a m3 hornet. But if you don't like the changes quit the game.

Now that all the hit points has been multiplied by 10, Generalissimos should earn 10 times more XP for every kill and each point of health they give to team mates in team battles.

This number of experience x10 must be something that is exclusive to only Generalissimos.

You are right. I suspect the master plan behind all this is to get us all, who are wasting our time (and some even their money, apparently) on this game, to spend more time in (and money on)  the so-called real world we have been neglecting for too long.

Riconot completed missions today as M2 wasp-freeze (a few MUs).

M2 freeze is powerful, but not overpowered. Freeze has been the strongest turret for a while, but it just doesn't seem to be too hard to fight. My freeze skills are modest. A skilled player may be hard to beat. I see too few to tell. I assume any freeze player will be better now, but is just doesn't seem overpowered.

M2 hornet is different. It makes it hard to use the sluggish freeze. Hornet is quite different. Overall, I think it just will take some getting used to, but old hornet was better. Not stronger, but better. Restated, new hornet is not weaker, but is not as good.

Perhaps tomorrow Riconot will play as hunter-hammer. If so, I will write about it.

So you basically con people into buying equipment based on certain parameters, then you reduce or sometimes even eliminate those parameters without any form of compensation, what an expletive joke!!

I bought and MU'ed firebird m3 for the afterburn and I bought and MU'ed isida for self healing, you now take them away without a second thought to the hundreds of thousands of crystal I spent on these? you're kidding me right?

if a piece of equipment was overpowered then tough friggen luck, i earned that equipment and there is nothing from stopping anyone else from buying the same, now you remove my stuff because some little punks get butthurt that I kill them to easily? quit catering to the pansies you are only killing your own game.

People need to start doing credit card reversals and hit these suckers where it hurts, take away their money and they might finally listen to the tanki community.

ok can you Dev's get back to the real world on this planet.. the prices and now you have to PAY for kits ..since when do players have cash flow to waste on none real items .. give me a break ////

then on top of these prices you still have to do micro upgrades  / also protection packages and then alterations

someone is getting paid too much to come up with these ideas.. its time for the company to look for cheaper employees on wages.. if they think players are going to pay cash for game items...

also some of these items might not be in the $$ shop area...

What I'm saying is that it's gonna take time for you to get a feel for how it all fits together. Right now you're focusing on your own equipment only, but in time you'll understand how all of the changes work together, rather than just seeing it from one or two perspectives. Mind you, I'm not blaming you for this. It's gonna take time for it all to make sense.

No more surprises Mr. Debono.

Now freeze and vulcun are op . So I am MUing them.

Pls don't nerf them in next update,

I saved up 17,900 crystals to get my M1 shaft which did 147 damage and MU'd it to get it to 162.5 damage. after rebalance it does 1336 damage. Seems like a big increase but it's a huge decrease. They multiplied everything by 10 pretty much so 1336 is less than 1625, meaning I saved up to basically buy my M0 all over again but at a high price which is PATHETIC!

Railgun took quick a big dip in damage as well, and Railgun is the most popular gun in the game! 44.4 would now be 444 but now it's at 270 ish which is 27 before the rebalance, meaning it's as strong as thunder M0 but with twice as long as a reload. So they threw Rail a big middle finger since it's weaker than the extremely weak thunder M0 which now does 315 so thunder M0 got a slight increase, so might as well change to thunder now!

The Devs F-ed up BAD with the rebalance and now the game is out of whack! I'm not even going to play it again until I see this be fixed. Everything was just fine!, but yeah Thunder and Smoky were UP, but with a 1/5 critical chance means it's OP now against the other turrets which are all now UP.

Sad right? Smoky is out powering Rail now e.e

They need to FIX this NOW. They messed up. BAD.

Topic merged.

overall i am liking this update isida nerf, freeze buff was really necessary but the only thing i dont like is the humongous rail nerf. ok it was a bit too op but still u made it unusable i replaced my rail with thunder which is now really good quicker reload splash damage so overall its ok i guess just the thing bugging me is i micro upgraded my rail to 26 and i am a non buyer so it took a lot time and a lot crystals and now that rail is broke i wish i had spent those crystals on thunder :(

I completed a couple missions with vulcan-titan (M3s, vulcan just a few MUs, titan 30 MU).

Vulcan must now be considered OP. This combo has its strong points, but my style had become highly dynamic and aggressive. Old viking was well suited to that. Not titan.

This combo (vulcan-titan) just has to be attentive, alert to targets of opportunity. People nag about twins just needing a brick for the space bar, but a titan with zeus protection and a double-armor makes vulcan a continuous damage dealer with little fear of self-destruct. Slowly meander toward opponents. Be careful to keep trained on targets, and the kills count up quickly.

Ricochet is still okay. It is a turret that one cannot afford to ignore in DM. However, the twins just might be the new OP champion. OP is a function of how successful the turret is and how hard it is deal with. I have long maintained that rico is the most OP. It is the turret that is easiest to be successful with, and it has always been hard to deal with. (Isida are a different category. They stink. They reek. Drugging isida were beyond OP, they were true god-mode-on. They had to be nerfed. May they rest in peace (forever).)

I used to say twins was middle. Initially I thought it underpowered, but as I got better at it, I realized it was in the middle, and people called it OP when they met nimble, aggressive twins. Now, I think twins must be rated OP. However, nimble and aggression no longer matter to it. Just put a brick on the space bar and find targets. It seems to work best when twins doesn't get close to opponents. At least, that is what I have been seeing, and twins are becoming more common.

The twins I knew and loved is gone, but the new twins seems to be more popular with jock-types. As a nerd, I am not sure I can strike up my relationship with the twins again.

Tanki, Cedric, I sincerely resent what you did to the game. It hurts.

Didn't you know you were going to frustrate the skilled players and reward the half-hearted players of mediocre skill?

Didn't you know the changes to kits and supplies and cooldowns would make the game motto, "Use or lose!"?

Yeah, it breaks my heart. I truly loved the twins. The brutishness of the new twins just ain't my thing.

I like the way you think.

To should remove all turrets and hulls and keep one of each, say Hornet/Isida.

Then there would be no butthurt, everyone would be equal, and they could change the name for IO (Isida Online), Ô great one.

some of what your saying is true but not all

for one twins is not op its more like Hammer or Vulcan.. Vulcan can take out me in one shot  before the changes it took two shots or more.. and i use Ricochet with Hornet.M3 fully upgraded  .... and now rail is weak it takes like 2 to kill me

in battles i use to be in the top three winners now im more to the middle or bottom and this i find injustice at my rank
