New balance changes and other features

The supply sale was done so that players could easily test the new supply cooldowns. The Gold box supply wasn't affected by this update, therefore there is no reason to apply a sale to it.

I don't quite agree with the first part.

On the same way, players should get discount on other garage items. But, they didn't.

Other garage items, such as hulls and turrets are also affected by this update. So, why not a discount on hulls and turrets? I'm not directly asking you, we all know that depends upon the devs. Yes, discount on hulls and turrets - so that players can buy them and test them.

If they wanted to do that, they would leave the game without updates and let players get bored and leave by themselves. Adding gold box supplies, new formats, new turrets (planned), new features like clans and DM tournaments is the exact opposite of "leaving the game to die".

yeah but almost every update makes the game worse. if you just let the game be,that many people won't leave...

That's because these 1-2 types have been popular player formats for a long time. They encourage the development of eSports and help new players practice "professional" battles without having to be in a clan or club of some sort to organise special format battles privately.

It doesn't bother me that these formats exist. As a newer player it is just curious to me that such a thing came about.

Thanks for the feedback.

No one. They simply misjudged it. Game balance is extremely difficult to do, so there is no way to guess how things will work out after the update. The question is - why did they have to wait over a year before they finally nerfed the OP Isida?

Did i not told you last night that they nerfed isida so much that its almost worthless, just think about someone who spent 900k(750+150) to get an isida m4 without buying....they ruined it...Also the DR format released after regular server restart was much better than the one present now...

can you please stop touching wasp?

first you removed the protection from XP/BP, now you reduce all parameters that make the wasp a wasp, turning speed, top speed, acceleration

this is a bad update and you should feel bad

Do you even know what you have done right there? I dont think ONE OF YOU plays this Game anymore, if so that person would've said something against this money press-rubbish.

XP/BP ist completely ruined because you can basically HOLD DOWN SPACEBAR, instead of tactical playing..

Dictator Rail, boring as hell.

Balance -- unneccessery as hell.

This Update ruined this game for ever, i'm here for about 5 years now, and this is the worst you have done in this period of time. I'm highly disappointed about how mone focused Perm thinks..

Thanks for NOTHING

My thoughts on the main parts of this update.

Changes in Equipment Unlock Rank: This to me was fairly pointless. Either do this or nerf some turrets but not both. M2 players who failed to get M3s before the rebalance will suffer heavily (especially as most M2 equipment is receiving debuffs). Most will have to resort to playing formatted battles only. Ranking to Marshal is a long pull up, and even Lieutenant General may seem a long way off to some players. And for those poor diamond-rank M2 Isida-only players who have used all their saved crystals on supplies, I can only pray for their survival.

Changes in Equipment Parameters: I thought Isida needed a nerf, but not one quite as crushing as this. The 3/4 reduction in self-healing will deliver it a mortal wound. Isida players will move on to other turrets. In my opinion Isida M2 was the most beautiful turret in the game (save for Xts). It will be a very rare sight from now on. The buff for Thunder on the other hand has pleased me very much, and of course Freeze needed boosting. I find it ironic that the worst turret in the game has now become the most expensive. Smoky and Railgun have also been  hurt by the balance, but time will tell whether the damage to them is lasting or not. There seems to be a blurring going on between the individuality of the long range weapons. They're all becoming different forms of Smoky (quicker reload, reduced damage etc).

The rebalance for hulls to me, on the other hand, makes absolutely 0% sense. Dictator is now close to redundant, Hunter is following in similar fashion. Mammoth is fairly useless, especially since Titan M2 has more HP that its Mammoth counterpart. Viking will be more popular than ever.

Hornet has also been dealt heavy blows by the update, and I'm amazed to see that Wasp M2 now has significantly more hull than Hornet M2.

It appears the hulls, which were beautifully unique previous to this update, are all blended together, especially due to the increase in hull and reduction in speed for the light hulls. Why not remove all hulls except Wasp, Viking and Titan? Because those three will be what the majority of Tanki will use in my opinion.

Changes in Equipment Prices: The price changes look to be inkeeping with most of the Turrets with the exception of Isida. So you're telling us we have to pay more today for a Turret that was cheaper and far better yesterday?

Changes in Supply Cooldowns: Yeah, the Mine cooldown clash with Repair was very irritating. Glad that's been removed. I only disagree with the increase in cooldown for mines. Non-Pro Pass Save the Golds are going to take years longer to set up.

Self-Destruction: (If one does not already exist) There needs to be a rule that self-destructing during XP/BP is only allowed when the Tank has flipped.

Equipment Change Cooldown: Definitely has its pros and cons, but 5 minutes is an awful long time.

Damage Indicators: The best part of this update in my opinion. A really neat and interesting feature.

"New" Game format: Can't say I'll play this very much. There's not much point buying Dictator (unless you're a gold hunter) due to its severe loss in hull.

Overall, I can't say I'm a fan of this update. Many players will leave Tanki as a result of this, more than in any of the previous updates. Many former buyers will be discouraged from buying into this game, and the chasm between Lieutenant General and below has increased even more.

Pay to win? Sure feels like it.

The only 100% positive part of this update was the damage indicators, and even those weren't an original developer idea (player suggestion).

The paint separation was the beginning. This update is just another step on the road to the end.

Wasp just got a buff, not a nerf :p It now rules over the entire Tankiverse :D

NOW I cant ONE SHOT M1 WASPS with my M2 RAIL!!!!

But my dear friend, those M1 Wasps with Rails can't two shot you anymore too. Be happy bout that :p

As for the update itself, nice one, this seriously improves XP/BP. As for DR, that's slow and requires tactics a lot etc, will be fun ;)

It's good that some of the turrets which were too OP have been nerfed, particularly Isida, Thunder, and Vulcan, whereas extremely weak turrets like Freeze, and Shaft have been made stronger.

Yes, that ik as well :) but then, if I actually do find out my equipment isn't as expected, I would have to wait for a 1/3rd of the game (if its a 15 min one.) I would prefer 3 mins :)

You are correct.  In a 15 minute battle the wait to change equipment is equal to a third of the battle time limit.  Whilst I read the reasons why Tanki have increased the time limitation I suspect this will result in either players leaving the battle only to join again so as to change equipment or they will just leave the battle altogether, creating an imbalance in the teams.

So you're a Forum-troll? XP/BP is ruined, you cant dodge, play smart or neither play good in a team, it is just ''Who shoots first, wins'' because you can literally hold down te spacebar.

So many stupid mults today. Stupid Tanki Online, rebalancing equipment & making experience worse but don't care about fair play at all.

I think I'm taking a week off.

Noob teams, noob updates, noob staff...

What's the point of playing?

What, say it again? Can you give me a reason? My dear friend, I bet you've barely ever tried XP/BP. And thanks so much, now I know i can wreck XP/BP teams easier cause they're too overconfident with saying whoever shoots first wins.... XP/BP is faster now cause a flipped enemy can get back quickly, the faster firing Rails make more intense gameplay due to quicker shots and the 3 shots also mean it gets funner cause it's no longer the simplisitic manner of get a shot, enemy is damaged and one more shot finishes him off

Tho i'll admit, the hull update seems like a very silly idea. Quite the same for the rank alignment.....

So from what I've heard, Viking and Hunter are now pretty much the same thing. Except Viking is more armored. So why would anyone buy Hunter over Viking?

Hunter has better acceleration and weight. But since the majority of Tanki players only value hulls by speed and hull points, Hunter will probably be a rare sight in battles.

Hey all. I appreciate that you're taking the time to give your feedback here. Just keep one thing in mind. For now, these are just first impressions. To really see how the update has affected the game, you need to wait for things to settle down.

What?  Viking and Hunter have the same hp, but viking is faster and hunter has better acceleration, no drift, and more weight.

No this is when we are able to best judge the ups and downs between the old parameters and new ones. Because it is still fresh in our minds. You always say " Wait and just live with it for a while" then you end up doing nothing. And i for one don't like it. The thing that gets me the most is that isada has been nerfed, hulls like viking dictator start of to slow like an m1, and when they get going with speed it just feels dum, not to mention VIKING SKIDS

Ahhh guys stop complaining that much, I personally hated this update as soon as it was announced in the v-logs but my attitude toward it changed over time.  I still am not a fan, but it's tolerable and there are some good points.

What I'm saying is that it's gonna take time for you to get a feel for how it all fits together. Right now you're focusing on your own equipment only, but in time you'll understand how all of the changes work together, rather than just seeing it from one or two perspectives. Mind you, I'm not blaming you for this. It's gonna take time for it all to make sense.
