New balance changes and other features

I played xp/bp with rail m3 on the test server with the new stats, and I have to say I like the fast reload.  It's new and dynamic, and sometimes the problem is people just don't like the playstyle they're accustomed to being changed. 

 

However, if you don't like what tanki did to xp/bp, there's always dictator-rail ;) .

They must be paying you a lot to say all that stuff... Thats sad. Railgun most definitely wasn't OP. It wasn't used much in non-format battles. You are probably just getting killed by rails a lot because you are an easy target. You could just admit it instead of saying a turret is OP while in reality it is your skill that is insufficient.

It was OP in large maps, just like freeze and fire are OP in Polygon.  It was used a LOT in non-format battles, Idk what you are talking about.  If he usually plays in large maps then i can understand why he thinks rail is OP.  At least try to understand other people before you start typing.  You don't know about his skill, you don't know how much he is killed by Rail, so your post is entirely unwarranted.

 

Let me clarify:  RAIL GOT BUFFED BY THE UPDATE. BUFFED, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?  Now you can reload faster than shaft.  If you miss then you have a second chance.  It's more competitive in small maps because you can get more shots off.  True, it's less OP in large maps, but they are trying to make it a more balanced weapon across different types of maps.  MOre variety=more enjoyable game.

I managed with freeze m2 too.  Because I perform well with it, does that mean the turret is good? That's like saying, if you doing terribly with twins, that twins in general is underpowered.  It's a matter of individual skill.  Freeze is finally getting it's main feature back.  Nerf the damage if you want, but the freeze effect is perfect as it is. Against m3 turrets before, the freeze effect barely did anything.  You would come up completely behind someone, and they would turn their turret completely around in 2 seconds UNDER FREEZE EFFECT.  Firebird should do more damage than freeze, but the effect needs to work, meaning that you can't hit the freeze if he's circling you.  That is not OP, it's the defining feature.

Lmao I did this to some freezes on an alt. Freeze's effect was so useless all you had to do was turn your whole hull with the turret and the freeze effect was basically non existent unless you tricked the enemy into turning their hull and turret in a direction you weren't going and then you just SPIN IT TO WIN IT! It was even worst because In high rank almost everyone has health kit and health kits are suppose to cure people of freeze and firebird's effects.

Ya its reallllyyyy dynamic playing with railgun that reloads every 4 seconds -_- , that is not the purpose of railgun, and if you read the railgun description, it says "A gun loved by professionals". The reason is that Pros liked the game play plan of making your shots count. Now its just shoot and I don't care if I miss, I have fast reload now. I actually prefer now the Dynamic game play of DR. The reload of railgun in that format was the very original railgun before the 2! game balance updates.

Lmao I did this to some freezes on an alt. You're right. :)  It ONLY worked on shafts and vulcan's when they were firing.  Even railgun could turn around fast enough if you approached on them from the side.  People might say, "get behind them and circle in the opposite direction they're turning"  but that is much easier said then done.  What if they have teammates behind them, or are watching their back?  Plus they turn so fast it doesn't matter anyway...

This is exactly what is the problem. I assume you dont have rail m3 yourself since you used it on the test server only. The players who have used rail m3 for years have built up skills with it. With those skills they use every shot to its utmost capabilities. Now with the fast reload it has lost most of its value. Now every noob who cant handle rail m3 will get to shot so often that it doesnt matter if he misses a shot. And thats not how XP/BP is supposed to work It SHOULD matter if you miss a shot.

I agree that the decreased delay is something that we just have to get used to. It is stupid, because it was completely unnecessary (Regarding XP/BP battles), but after some time we will get used to it. The decreased reload time is another story.

They could as well make a format for mammoth twins now... -_-

As I said, play DR.  Dictator is faster now, and they talked about that alteration that automatically equips that make the railgun like the old one.

Dictator railgun also has a certain element of nostalgia for REAL pros and veterans,

If you were a player who is a high rank which your not, all of RU1 is filled with XP/BP battles, the format before was the best thing Tanki has ever done to this game. As a matter of fact, did you know i never liked Railgun at the rank of brigadier, I disliked it soooo much, but then I understood why Railgun was there and its dynamic gameplay. When XP/BP format came out I was playing it non-stop. A real fan of XP/BP will not give up on this format, especially when thats all they saved up their cry for now that Tanki is making it a Buy-To-Win game.

I see mostly low rankers in favor of this update, and high rankers are against it. What dose that tell you? It tells me that the people who understand the dynamic of the game are against it and players who have not yet learned the importance of strategy in a game are for it. So what i understand form this is that much of the dynamic of the game has been ruined by this rebalance.

This is not my first acc.  I'm sorry that you don't like the new changes, but don't go around calling everyone who doesn't mind it a whining noob.

I agree that railgun needed a change for the lower ranks, but thats not what this is about. Over 90% of the active players is at generalissimo. And at those ranks railgun was NOT OP.

And I dont agree that railgun got a buff. It might have gotten more dps, but that doesnt do it. It changed. Its a completely different gun now.

Did I call you a whining noob or anyone, do not put words in my mouth that I never said. Clearly you do not see beyond what Tanki wants you to believe. I guess that's why you are a low ranker and could not handle being at the ranks of m3.

I would not say Rail was overpowered before but making its damage less variable certainly does not ruin Rail. Every other hull and turret was adjusted too. Over time players will suss out the new winning tactics.

 

As for not seeing Rail much in non-format battles ... I do not know what it is like at Gizmo level but for those of us raising through the ranks I see Rails in every battle that has more than a handful of players. It is one of the most used turrets out there... We aren't Giznos but we are players too.

To should remove all turrets and hulls and keep one of each, say Hornet/Isida.

 

Then there would be no butthurt, everyone would be equal, and they could change the name for IO (Isida Online), Ô great one.

I think you have completely missed my point Einstein. If I chose to use Isida and someone chose thunder, and my isida ends up being considered overpowered then tough luck, they had the choice of isida to begin with but chose not too. My point is no one is disadvantaged when we all have the same choice of weapons.

That is the tone of all your comments.  I see beyond what Tanki wants me to believe, read my long post explaining how all the turret changes are to make people buy more alterations.  I probably see Tanki's motives more clearly than you.

I have used Smoky the most. And it shoots a lot faster than Rail under an version of Rail. And this notion that "ha ha ha I missed a shot that doesn't mater because I reload fast ha ha ha" is so much malarkey its ROFL material. When I am in a battle I realize I have to make every single shot land or else the other guy will probably kill me. This is certainly true of a Rail opponent.

 

 

As for your format battles Tanki has said 92$ of the time the target will be destroyed in 2 shots.

But non-buyers have to stick with ONE and one only that matches their playstyle.  THat's why its so important to make sure all of the turrets are balanced.  I didn't realize what was going on between you, and you're probably right in some areas, but we actually don't all have the same choice of weapons.

That's true, the chances of an m4 hornet surviving two m4 rail shots are extremely low.

There is only one point to this entire update, Nerf the most popular items so that people hopefully spend money to buy the newer 'overpowered' items. Other than a money grab I cannot make sense of why these changes would take place.

Alterations except for the colour shot wont work in XP/BP -___- . I find it very hard to believe you even understand what you are saying which clearly shows you do not understand the motives of the developers. 90% of players who play this game are generalissimos. They are the ones keeping this game alive for the past year with all these noob updates. If there are alterations what is the use of the re-balance. It goes both ways, use your brain when you write posts and listen to players who have played this game for years compared to you.

That is not true, I own 6 or 7 m3's/m4's and I've never spent a cent of real money on this game.

I'm not going to lie, I've played this game for at least 4 years on at least 6 accounts.  If you cannot understand me that is a problem with you and your cerebrum, not me.

Well, you are a gismo, you could have spent lots of time on this game and don't have to worry about fighting players with much higher equipment than you.
