I know this isn't a technical problem, but nonetheless, it is a problem.

 

Anyone who's trying to join, or has joined today's popular and special Highways TDM battle which was created for most, if not all ALL ranks are randomly getting banned and kicked from the server for times spanning from 5 mins to 1 hour.

 

Whether it be a raging battle mod, or some sort of huge misunderstanding, I don't want a block.

IMPORTANT:

 

The Highways TDM battle which people whom are joining are getting kicked from is a special battle which was created for a photoshoot with German Community Manager, Dim, and needs to be removed from the battle list. At first staff gave warning to players before kicking them, but then it got out of hand and now whomever joins the battle receives a block.

Don't worry though, if you got a block without a warning you'll be unblocked soon enough and the ban will be removed from your karma.

So you think it's fair that I joined the battle out of curiosity, keep in mind I had no idea what it was nor that we were meant to leave, and I just got kicked... Don't they have the power to end the battle altogether, without harming anyone? Even if not, why can't they let them play on?

I've seen players being kicked from the server for only 5 mins (due to messing about in events), don't see why you were kicked for an hour.

And you think I do know why? Innocent players are randomly getting blocked :/ Just to name a few: Me, I3est, K.O.L.O.N.E.L, etc. We all joined the battle just because it was for all ranks, and we unexpectedly got blocked.

Seriously tanki - Been playing this game for 5 years and I always thought highly of your staff, but this was seriously your best method of removing players from that particular battle? Reflects badly on tanki as a whole tbh...

Apologies for this mess up.  As pointed out by above, this was a special event organised by the german community.  Photoshoot with their CM I believe.  After the event was over helpers were given instructions to flush the battle (at present its the only way for them to finish it) but as you can that was no joy ride for any of them.

 

It ended up on a very sad note when innocent players get kicked for just joining a battle to which they were invited, and yes some trolls were involved in it, but a troll gotta troll :D , so can't blame them either.

 

We're deeply sorry about all of that.  I'll make sure the message is passed around in all communities to not repeat such an incident.

Question, why does it need to be "flushed"? I understand it's a unique battle which is unbalanced in gameplay and all, but I remember back in the day, such battles were made for the fun of them...

Somebody posted the battle link in RU1 with the following message: 'omg omg all ranks'

 

Of course we all rushed to join the battle, because of the curiousity obviously. We were there for about a minute when mass kick began. I managed to leave the battle to avoid being blocked but 5 seconds later I got blocked as well, even though I was not in the battle anymore. A very immature thing from you guys, helpers. You are here to HELP and not to give false, unnecessary bans. I am very disappointed of you.

all said and done .. what about there accounts now they all have a new banned on them for no good reason .. they all should  be removed and the CM should be involved in this one..

While I didn't have any involvement in yesterday's event (wasn't even aware it was being organized on that day) I'd like to apologize for the frustration and confusion you experienced, and for the inconvenience that resulted from this event.

 

As for the event helpers, please don't blame them for what they did. As already said, the situation was wildly out of control and they were trying their best to deal with it.
