[Declined] Merging topics to the main post or on an additional comment on top

The idea is simple. :) When merging a topic to another one, doing this to the main post, or adding a post right under the main post and merging them here as a "merge post" Maybe a third option, merging a post by adding a comment right after the main post, under editing of the idea owner. :)

 

 

In today, they are merged at somewhere middle(as a last post, it gets middle then)

 

However, we just don't see merged topics you know..

Most of the time when a topic gets merged, it doesn't add anything to the discussion and is worth no more than just a place somewhere in the topic. The only way for us to put the merged topic only the first page of the bigger topic is to merge the post with a post on the first page, thus sacrificing someone else's post on that page, which may be a lot more interesting and relevant. So I really don't think that this is possible or at all necessary.

Mafioso maybe with your gold fish brain they are the same while actually they are not. There is a lot of topics merged with my topic about paints. All of those topics isn't simmilar to my idea but you still merge them.
