Halloween map is a nice holiday add but it's for long range players. Rail, Vulcan, and Shaft do well, but even Thunder loses so much damage over the long distance between bases that it's not really playable.

 

You'll want a fast hull like Viking Wasp and Hornet to get you across the distance quickly.

 

Lots of supply drops so be ready for druggers to come at you fully loaded and ready to shred.

 

Gold boxes fall often but the dogpile is so big good luck being the one to cap.

 

I got the Halloween super mission - 10k crystals for 3k XP. Folks, it is really hard to get XP quickly on this big map. I finished the mission in about two and a half hours.

 

For it's size the map is not very diverse and thus not very interesting. It looks like a slight extension of last year's map. While I will continue to advocate for the Assault Mode map from last Christmas, I don't see myself missing this one too much when it's gone.

Supposedly Halloween map would drop GB 5x more often. Does this mean every 5 minutes? Or when you have 200 Crys in the BF? No, Doctor bozo88 has it figured out: 5 x 0 = 0. I have caught one GB a week ago, in a farmed match, between me and one of my lower accounts (brohomie). Oh, it felt good, I mean, idiotic, chasing down a little container that drops from the sky like oobleck or hail, causing teammates to become whiny brats who lose sight of the goal when the spooky laughing starts. I have played for 3 hours on Halloween Map and seen 2 gold boxes, and have been in 5 full matches that had none dropped. Also, 2 of those matches broke 800 crys in the BF before they ended.

Supposedly these are increased by 50%. Yet thats' not enough to be noticeable, misers.

Where is the micro upgrade sale??????? I have plenty of hate for your (TO) microupgrade system, but I'll complain and whine on a different thread, seeing as I still can't find out how to start my own threads?

Seriously? You could only fit 3 CP points into the thing? Not 5 or even 7? And the lack of contrast rendering options mean blind-ish people like myself can't see their turret in front of their hull. My poor KDR is now even worse than before from .88 to .80 . The background music is not scary at all, and piping in the Madness Map theme would be better. Plus, the cr@p hanging off the bushes makes it impossible to see snipers and mines, but that is actually ok. If there is a M0 turret/hull combination that Halloween Map is suited for, I'd love to know. That could all be told us in the Vlog, but you didn't.

You got rid of crowd control! Now short range weapons are rendered pretty much useless. I can't even burn/freeze through my own teammate?! Guess when I figured out shoot through was gone? When I needed in most in Edinburgh Map!!

Get 3,000 exp and win 2250 free crystals! WT*! Who can get 3000 EXP in one day?? Occultists and fanatics, maybe. But not normal people. Especially considering the Halloween Map is so hard that normal acquisition of EXP is down 25% for me! Also, that reward payment plan is lousy. That is less than my personal average of 1:0.93 exp:crystals ratio! At least bribe me with 3001 crystals, or maybe 5000! Especially when running a 50% off sale, liars. (ref to Vlog)

I have played for 2 hours (in a lrank 8 acc) and gotten 978 exp! Its 4 PM! I will spend all of today and most of tomorrow on a map I don't even like for a half-assed reward! I know your saying, "dumass bozo, If you dont want 2250 crystals + what you rake in in game reward form the matches, don't fight it." Yeah, I know that too. It's just next time, if you want tankers to enjoy themselves, make Halloween enjoyable by all ranks and peoples.

I guess you dont know how gold boxes work because theres a 1/10000 chance for every crystal to the fund. At the low warrant officer ranks theyre very rare. (btw i nolifed 4k xp on my alt to rank it and it only took 6 hours)

you will self destruct for going outside the boundary which is not marked.

My main complaint about the special map is the sheer number of supply drops. I was killed, and while re spawning, saw like 15-20 orange parachutes:

The drugging is horrible. I found that I was not having fun whilst playing, especially on my main, because I don't have the crystals to buy drugs, but everyone was drugging. I really, truly, think that the sale on supplies was bad thing to do. People are drugging like 3-5x more often than I have ever seen, and it is really disrupting normal gameplay. The best game I have played so far (in terms of enjoyment) was one with no drugging or supply drops.

i have to say on the contrary .. this map is as good as the past maps.. for the druggers well we have been here and as long as tanki gives us drugs in missions and allows us to buy with cash or crystals this wont stop .we all know this..

 

if you want no druggers in your battles then go pro .. there are tons of them out there ..

if looking for really good battles then try your tank on the Russian servers , for golds dropping there its about the same or more also there is way more players dropping then tanki dropping ..also if you know the gold box drops how it works its not done on how many are in battles alone its also based on the kills and other items ..see more info here ....  http://en.tankiwiki.com/Gold_Box

I wear glasses, yet I could see ok. Macbook Pro, turned screen brightness up all the way, or reverse colors and turn down contrast allows you to see quite well. I was fine with the drugs. 50% sale was announced in Vlog, instead of 31% sale on turrets.

I'll try to record a better quality gameplay video with Banidcam on my gaming laptop tomorrow... Lags your actual gameplay, Action lags video after recording. Although again, Bandicam lags my laptop since my screen is 4k... I will have to turn it down to 1080p for gaming, or just get client.

If there are more of those drops available, there is more of a chance in general I will drug- and I'm NOT a heavy drugger. The amount of drops compared to the map size seems a bit disproportionate. If the map was a bit bigger, it would be a good amount.

Lack of GPs: Your rank doesn't have a very high battle fund rate. Besides, the chance is still only 0.0005.

 

Battle Fund: The 50% raise of the battle fund ended quite a long while ago. Did you not read the entire announcement?

 

The MU Sale (Or lack of): The developers know what is good for the TO economy better than you do. Does not the creator have a better view than the created? I trust the Developer team wholeheartedly.

 

Map: They don't want everyone scattering around to capture every single point. There's a reason they call it "Control Point" mode, instead of "Run Around And Capture Points" mode. Turning off your skybox has a great effect in brightening the map due to the contrast of the darkness and the white. Try it out; it also decreases lag... The decorations are fine. You just have to get used to them. The best M0 combination IMO on the map is Shaft-Viking. 

 

No SR Penetration: I can't argue with you on this one.

 

Daily Missions: I finished 3000 EXP in 1.2 hours. And that was on my Sergeant-Major account, with M1/M0 Fire-Hornet. (It just bought Firefly)

 

In case you're wondering why I am arguing against you, I support the TO team wholeheartedly. Their decisions are just and honorable. The moderators are fair, the Administration team chooses good helpers. The battle moderators do their job properly (most of the time), and I think that people have too strong of a disrespect towards the entire TO team.

Gold is dropping .. not sure what server your using.. so far on three of my accounts in one day i have a total of 5 gold pumpkins and the battles i have been in there is on average about 2-5 or more dropping .. it depends on how the battle is going .. if its a low score then less will be dropping if its a high fast battle then more would be...read more about how gold drops...http://en.tankiwiki.com/Gold_Box

What I liked about the halloween map:

- The lightning was very dark but hey - it's halloween and not a summer beach party.

- perfect for long rangers

- the new map elements, like half-destroyed walls, the ramps used to reach a higher ground were cool. Higher elements make it a little harder to spot above them.

- those little obstacles on the ground where truely nice

 

What I disliked:

- too less diversity on gold drop locations

- too many bushes. Honestly.. there are sooooooooooooooo many bushes

- gold drops did not work for lower ranks

- giving more golds leads to more mults

(5x more gold = +50% battle fund. Better give 4x more gold, make 1-out-of-4 a self-exploding device with big laughter (+30% battle fund) and give 33% more battle fund. This is +63% more crystals overall. The lower rankers would benefit, the exploding golds would be fun and the people would play instead of multing and wait for gold in pause mode.

 

 

 

What I disliked most:

- almost 95% of all maps where that halloween maps. After a couple of battles I wanted to play something else.. but there was not much to choose from. So.. it was boring there after.

- the special mission is waaaay to time consuming.

So many complaints. Personally I love the Halloween map. Wasn't playing tanki already last year so I don't know about last years map , but this one is very nice for my m3 thunder. Finished a 3000k mission yesterday (7200 crystals) and got one

today as well. Also many thanks for the 50% sales on turrets!!! That was a surprise. Bought two on my alt account. All in all very happy with the Halloween
