                         I noticed something,

 

 

                   The m3 kits that were available from a Brigadier Rank and upward have moved to the Marshal rank. But why not have m2 kits available at least since they can't get m3's unless they rank to a marshal?

Those kits moved up to Lieutenant General, not Marshal. And the reason M2 kits are no longer available is because at your rank and above they bring no benefit and are therefore pointless to buy. It's much better to wait for the M3 kits to unlock or buy the M2 turret or hull separately during a holiday sale (like the 50% today).

This is true, you shouldn't be worried about any more M2s at your rank. you should be saving for M3 kits. Maybe if you are good enough you can save up and buy 2 M3 kits, you never know.

I think all kits generally should be available for longer for their respective ranks, but where the next level has gotten further away, some extra overlap from the previous ranks would be a good thing.  I don't know about anyone else, but kits are damned expensive to save for, I still have a garage chock full of spaces, m0's and the odd m2, sometimes although you mightn't expect them to be much value, they can fill a hole for an immediate need.

 

There are many weapons/hulls I wouldn't buy alone, and probably will never buy, but if their kit was still available with other things I did want, then I'd be inclined to take it, even knowing its days are numbered in terms of effectiveness.

 

I don't know how many times I've saved like crazy just to have the kit no longer available by the time I get the loot for it, and then the new kits are so hideously expensive, its just like starting again.
