seeing new ranks are coming and this is good .. it will be confusing at first mainly seeing the same icon for the rank

can this be done for each level in a different colour or symbol to show each one

 

say first level in green then next in blue and so on up the ranks.. would be interesting to see what it will be

since there will be infinite lvls, its gonna mean infinite work for devs.... :P

and there arent that many colours in the world either. yah, mathematically there are infinite colours but there will be infinite colours indistinguishable with the naked human eye....and atleast the pc screen cant produce them  :ph34r:

Why not? Not happy with getting more crystals for a new rank???

 

I think the ranks update is nice. And I think it's good that players who will automatically be 'Legend' will get some crystals when the update is introduced. But I don't think it is fair that players with different levels of 'Legend' will get the same amount of crystals.

 

Example:

If I have 2 siblings who both play Tanki (a lot), and the older one started before the younger, so has around 2.8 million exp, and the younger one has 1.6 million. I guess that makes the older one 'Legend 7', and the younger one just 'Legend'. Yet when the new rank is introduced, they will both get 40k crystals.

 

You said that one of the points of the update is for generalissimos to compare what level they are. Well, when my younger sibling ranks up to 'Legend 7', they will have recieved 280k compared to my older sibling recieving 40k now for being 'Legend 7'. So my younger sibling will be 240k better off crystal-wise at 'Legend 7', than the older sibling. So they can improve their garage more, get more supplies, whatever, and so be 'better' at the 'Legend 7' rank than my older sibling was.

 

When the older sibling bought their m3s, they had to buy the previous modifications (m0, m1 and m2) to get the m3s. And then the update was introduced so that you could buy the m3 without buying the other modifications, so my younger sibling got to buy their m3s at essentially half the price of what my older sibling paid. Not to mention the fact that my younger sibling also benefitted from having the garage discount when you own a certain amount of hulls/turrets, and also having daily missions, and the daily mission chains, to give them extra crystals for a greater percentage of the time they've been on Tanki compared to my older sibling.

 

They both play similarly, and make similar garage choices, and yet the younger one already has a garage much much better than the older one did at the same rank. So recently-joined players are getting an advantage over players who joined slightly less recently.

 

Even if you don't want to give players with higher 'Legend' levels the full amount of crystals (ie 40k x the 'Legend' number), at least you could give them more than what you're giving players with lower 'Legend' levels. To make it more fair.

sure the rank crystals are peanuts but think about how long we all have been waiting to get more ranks and to be able to challenge our self's to the top level .. in time it would have to end they won't be forever climbing... see in tanki x there is 100 ranks and in tanki we only have ( right now ) 30

we are still 70 ranks away from that game .. also they have so much more cool things that tanki in time will slowly add..

they never said anything about this .. and this is a good point .. they will have to change the ranks from gizmo above for rank levels to battle with each one... it would be hard if your at the top level and there is only a small group to battle against ..

I know you do not set policy but you are supposedly our liasion to the Tanki company. Yet I never see any questions answered here? Why do your supposed role exist then?

I am Captain. I have been so for almost 6 weeks. I have had the Cr to buy the Northerner kit ever since I hit exp point 332,000. I could not buy the kit due to the "rotation system." The the update was announced so when Northener rotated back I did not want to spend all my Cr on something that I might not likje until after the change. Plus I'd heard there was always a sale on Halloween. So I tested my Vik/Smoke combo, decided I could live with it, and waited for the sale.

 

No Norhterner kit. Not durig the early week, when a 31% module sale would have saved me about 19,000 on the regular kit price.

 

No Northerner kit after the mid-week "rotation" when a 31% hull sale would have saved me over 17,000 Cr.

 

And now no  Northerner kit during a 50% turret sale which would save me a whopping 35,000 Cr.

 

So Cedric... why exactly does Tanki think I should be happy with the fact they are screwing me out of 35,000 Cr? Do you understand how many hours and weeks it takes to earn 35,000 for the new player? Why are some players allowed to buy their kits at a discount but LittleWillie isn't?

 

The same thing affects two other  lower-ranked accounts of mine too. Osaka kit and Stinger kit also did not appear in the rotation either week.

 

I am a new player.

 

I had hopes to buy three kits during the sale.

 

Tanki tells me to *** off ... unless I pay $36 to buy Northerner out of the Shop. Yeah. That's gonna happen.

 

No Tanki, it is you who can *** off.

 

Like hell they make everyone happy. Tanki is making it immpossible for a new player to WANT to stick around,. Those Russians need to hire a western marketing expert to extract their heads from ... well you know from where.

I should add. If the Stinger kit were available during halloween I would have had to have bought the special introductory offer of 20,000 Cry in order to buy it at the lower on-sale price. And I would have done so. So this notion that Tanki LOSES INCOME due to this policy is not mere supposition. I KNOW they have lost sales - they have lost income from me. 

 

I believe in supporting game companies that EARN my support. That does not include companies that tell me "We're having a special benefit for our players --- just not for you, LittleWillie."
