What is the point in xt equipment

I don't understand the reason in having xt equipment in the game

I have a full m4 thunder and a full m4 mammoth

I would love to own both as xt

But why after spending a huge amount of crystals on what i have would i buy m3 thunder xt and  m3 mammoth xt

then have to micro upgrade them to m4 ?

Meaning that i now have 2 thunder m4s and 2 mammoth m4s

Surely tanki should look at this and probably try to make it easier for someone who already has an m4  to make it

someway easier to obtain an xt version of what peice of equipment they want

I honestly don't see a reason for me buying xt but i would love to own it

With alterations, you could have a turret with one set of alterations, and an XT version of it that hasn't been altered at all.

Alterations can be turned on and off, so you can buy all 4 alterations for one turret (when the other 3 will be added to the game) and activate them in any combination you want. As far as I know, switching alterations in battle doesn't have a 5 minute cooldown, so in fact it's MORE convenient to have one turret with all alterations, rather than two with each having its own set.

Why do people like to buy cars that cost $250,000 or more when a $100,000 car has everything you would want?

in that case cars have different engine capacities , Seating capacities cheap cars have less powerfull engine and expensive have more powerfull engines

BUT  thunder XT and m3 thunder are same no change in powers

I know non-buyers get XT missions, but those are rare, and buyers often just buy crystals and get the XT stuff just to look cool. If they unlocked a whole new set of alterations....No way. The main point is to look cool and it's a mark of prestige.

Alterations nerf one parameter and buff another. In terms of parameters, the XT version would be different from the basic version...but not necessarily better, depending on the battle circumstances.

But why don;t they make 8 alterations for each turret, and make them available for XT's as well?  There's really no point to making XT alterations.

I got an XT mission for Viking XT. I already have M4 Viking so I am going to pay almost a million crystals to mu another one? I pushed the change button.

And then you realised your computer was not touch screen.

XT equipment is a set of exclusive items which give players opportunity to stand out and look cooler. They aren't better than normal M3s and don't affect your gameplay, so players should only get it if they have crystals to waste. And obviously you would "love to own it" because who wouldn't want a cool golden-plated tank instead of a normal one? But you can't always have what you want.

It's true though that it's inconvenient to guy an M3 XT item and have to upgrade it to M4 again, even if you have a fully upgraded normal version in the garage already. This problem has already been fixed in Tanki X and it may happen in Tanki Online as well, but for the moment developers couldn't find a better way to implement XTs other than a separate set of items. We already have an idea topic about this issue.
