Skill rewards?

I thinking of like small crystal rewards for doing certain stunts in battle.

 

Get a kill streak of five? 100 crystals. Ten? 200 crystals. Airborne for three seconds? 50 crystals. Five seconds? 100 crystals. Kill an enemy without taking damage? 10 crystals, especially for the fact that Shafts could do that easily. Survive for five minutes? 150 crystals. Ten? 300 crystals.

 

Double these numbers for mid rankers and triple for high rankers.

 

Just a simple idea to add some crystals into people's banks ;p

We don't usually accept ideas for adding new crystal rewards, but this seems like an interesting concept. Although it's too easy to abuse by simply doing all the things you listed in a battle with friends.

So basically play on madness and get 100-300 crystals every time you spawn?

No, because in Madness you don't spawn in mid air.

 

The first and last two are to easy for a Drugging Mammoth Twins in Poly CP , especially if it has Isida support

Good idea, except for the "survive for a certain time" one.  That encourages hiding instead of brave team playing, and favors campers a lot.

 

Thing is, this would make too much unbalance,  The "spend 3 sec in air" would be much easier for hornets and wasps. "Kill an enemy without taking damage" would not be easy for firebird, and so on.

No reward for being inactive could fix that..then again they could just move back and forth or rotate the turret...

which is why the rewards are so minimal. Even though they are small, it'll make players feel better about their abilities.

 

"Hey, I just got 100 crystals for killing five guys!"

 

I know it's just me making a quote but hey, seeing your crystals go up DURING battle, despite how small the reward, should make a majority of the players want to play more to see how much they can make in a battle and with most battles being only 15 minutes, there won't be much made.

 

This idea isn't to just add crystals to our banks, but mostly to encourage players to feel they're skilled and when you feel like you're a good player, you'll want to play more. In my opinion at least.

Could be a pro battle thing it would sort of cut down the abuse. But the cry per stunt would have to be small to prevent a imbalance...

This is basically bringing crystal boxes back in other words. Easy pickings = Easy crystals = Game balance ruined.

 

However, this can be incorporated into the Newspaper; as like doing certain number of stunts land you some crystals.

slight crystal increases would improve balance as non buying players with have more income to buy better stuff so they arent M0 versus M2 in the middle ranks....m1 is hard enough against m2 where things become op

I think it would be fun.. but I see share the raised concerns that players will hunt more for the rewards then for the gameplay (getting flags, CPs..)

 

I think if the reward would be added to the battlefund, then two things would happen:

- players would be happy if they see a text that tells them they made a combo

- still they have to work for the teamwin in order to get a share of the combo reward

 

Of course there may not be any achievement or whatever persistant, so that players dont start to hunt for those combos or stunts.

Maybe it would be better if this would be totally random, so if you performed certain stunt, there was a 30% chance of reward. This would prevent players from focusing on the stunts and encourage actual gameplay, but also sometimes reward skills.

Tbh I'm for BlackWasp777's idea of the crystals going straight toward the battle fund...

Then what happens if a badly losing team pulls off all the stunts and skills?  They really get almost no extra reward...

Oh? They lost :p

 

They still get a little extra, so, ya know.........................................

Basically feeding the winning team extra crystals. Maybe it should get you a score bonus instead.

It's not "feeding" the winning team. I guess the losing team is feeding them the whole time they're playing then. I got "fed" a lot yesterday then, since i was 1300 points ahead of the second highest person who had 277 points on the enemy team. it was an hour long CTF of Madness and out of 1909 crystals in the battle funds I got 1245 of those

Agree with you, players just might look at daily "quests", do some stunts, earn easy crystals and leave...
