Parkour Clubs Challenges - show off your skills!

If you have no parkour club, you can create one in the Parkour Clubs forum, make sure you read the rules first!

 

 

There is a new challenge every week. Parkour clubs gain score for every challenge they complete, the score consists of different variables such as creativity, parkour skills and video quality. This score can be used as feedback on what are the strengths and weaknesses of every parkour club, and as a rating system to see who's better.

Additionally, there is a list of achievements, parkour clubs can get these any time. Parkour clubs get rewarded with score for every achievement, and it's a nice way to show what your club is capable of.

 

 

To join the competition, simply participate in the contest or get an achievement. (see below how)

CHALLENGE #1 (accepting entries until Thursday 17.11.2016 - 18:00 UTC)

 

Make the coolest tricks you can!

The tricks must be done in the map Rio.

 

An unlimited amount of players can participate in each trick, but only one of them is allowed (but not required) to use one of the following turrets: Thunder, Hammer, Railgun. The rest can use any equipment except for these turrets.

 

You are allowed to include up to 3 tricks in the video. Remember, more tricks doesn't mean better! A video with only 1 trick can easily win a video with 3 tricks if this 1 trick is cool enough. What matters the most is that the tricks look cool!

 

 

Rules:

• Screenshots are NOT accepted. Only videos.
• Each parkour club can submit only 1 video per challenge.
• Only members of your parkour club are allowed to participate, no strangers,
• Nicknames must be clearly visible in the video.
• Visual effects are allowed as long as they don't make it harder to see the tricks and be sure you are not cheating.
• To submit an entry, send a PM to SwiftSmoky, titled 'CHALLENGE #1', with the video you want to submit and a link to your parkour club forum topic.
• Do not send links to your videos and parkour club forum topic here. They will be published here with the results of the contest.

Achievements

 

If your parkour club got an achievement:

• Send a PM to SwiftSmoky, titled 'ACHIEVEMENT', with the name of the achievement, video proof and a link to your parkour club's forum topic.
• Visual effects are allowed as long as they don't make it harder to see the tricks and be sure you are not cheating.
• Do not send links to your videos and parkour club forum topic here. They will be published here when the achievement is confirmed.

 

 

Skyscraper Climbers

+1 lvl for every different way you climbed a skyscraper.

Score per level: 10,000

 

Conquerors

+1 lvl for every map conquered.

Score per lvl: 100 multiplied by the amount of houses in the map. (with bonus for climbing signs, antennas, etc...)

 

Big Jumps

+1 lvl for every medium or large map you jump over.

Score per lvl: 5,000 - 15,000, depending on the map size.

 

Flying Parkourists

Stay in the air for a minute without touching the ground or other tanks.

Score: 10,000

Special video requirement: Record this video in a battle with time limit, with the time limit countdown in bottom right corner visible all along the video.

Upcoming features:

 

Planning to make bigger challenges every 2 months. Will give so much time for every big challenge not because it takes so much time, but to make sure these big challenges don't interfere with the normal activity of the parkour clubs, so parkour clubs will be able to participate in these challenges and still have plenty of time working on their parkour guide videos or any other projects they might have.

 

Will add the scoreboard and personal parkour club profiles when the first contest will be over.

The scoreboard will be a list of the top 5 or 10 parkour clubs. The parkour club profiles will contain all the information about a certain parkour club, including achievements, contest entries, score, etc.

I'm thinking by "only 1 player" he meant that it has to be an OMP (One Man Parkour) trick but the player must be in a parkour club which can be promoted for winning the challenge. Edited November 6, 2016 by cube3e

To be fair, our parkour club ("Fight & Flight" [F&F]) will not be taking part in the challenges part of this topic so no one has the feeling that the picking of the winners will be unfair or favouring of us since Swift ofcourse is our club leader. Although we will be on the scoreboard for acheivements as that does not require comparing peoples' videos meaning there is no loser but, the club with the highest score will be titled as the best.

Shame there's not enough participants, or just not enough participants in-within the community who are capable of keeping up with the challenges and targeted acheivements set.

Even before MOP, I haven't really seen anything special from any parkour club.

It has nothing to do with MOP, if you look at our parkour clubs section - how many parkour clubs do you see that make videos? Some don't even take parkour screenshots or don't show any activity at all...

Most of our community's MOP videos are from youtubers and teams of friends that don't create parkour clubs... This is why I decided the right thing to do is make a monthly contest in the EN Tanki newspaper. I suggested it in newspaper requests topic and everyone seem to like it. I'm sure there parkour contests will receive more attention than here. And it will be open to everyone, not only parkour clubs.

Nice point. Anyway, isn't the submission date already exceeded? And will the credit to the parkour clubs be given if they win the achievement thingy?
