What do you think is the most common deaths for Thunder users?

Thunder is weak with the splash damage at close range. Most of my enemies usually come near me when I am shooting them. But as long as you have any mines than you're fine xD

I have 0 mines :(

As I don't own Thunder, I have no idea about what to say in this topic, but that jokes:

I am a dominantly Thunder user, by a long shot. If I had to guess about the most kills on Thunder, I would say:

1) Railgun - there's too many of them in use, they out-range the victim, and they can shoot through tanks and carcasses without appreciable loss of damage (unlike all other weapons, now, after the re-balance this year). Extremely bad match-up for a Thunder.

2) Any short-range gun - they out-damage the victim at the operating range. At least in this case, the attacker must physically approach to cause damage. Of course, there's a lot of these across three different guns.

3) Thunder - If you're using it, you were able to buy it with crystals or ruble equivalents. That means that others around your ranks are, too. Careless targeting also means that you can be your own victim.

4) Shaft - just pay for drugs like candy and you can pretty much one-shot anyone (even heavy hulls) to buy your way to a leader position. Thunder as a target is no exception. I think this is going to be an increasingly bad turret to face as people with money to blow realize that it's a "something" after the re-balance.

5) Situational turret based upon map - Twins, Hammer, Vulcan, Smoky, and Rico are all dangerous at the correct range and operator supply usage. Based upon the map, they move up this list a bunch.

And please don't suggest drugging as a viable strategy for a general case. Otherwise, one could say "hey, just shoot up a repair-kit/damage/speed/armor box and you'll be twice as effective each". This is a question (I think) about the most potent threats to a Thunder user, possibly to guide a protection choice. If the first thing you do when threatened is to pop drugs, then it doesn't really matter what protection module you're using.

I don't know why the profile page shows me using 5000 supplies in 1 year of stats. I've never used that many, and do not buy them. There is some sort of bug in there. I have not used 25 supplies per playing hour since October 2015. (Otherwise, the stats would incorrectly appear to undermine my supply usage argument against threat mitigation.)

I am also a dominantly Thunder user, who does not drug, and I feel like there is no particular weapon which I get killed by, usually. I really feel like it depends on the skill of the enemy, and my splash damage really doesn't get me killed much, as I can stay close enough to do good damage, without getting hurt myself.

If there were weapons which were getting me killed a lot, it would just be the best M1 weapons. (Twins, Railgun, Thunder, etc) I don't die to splash damage often at all, though. Just depends on the opponent's skill, for me.

1) Railgun - before the update they were my favourite prey, because I usually could shoot them nearly twice till they reloaded again and they lost a lot. But now due to the rapid fire they are quite a problem. I guess I would have to get the alteration, if I want to counter them properly.
2) Any short-range gun - in general I fight off some of them by mines and retreating. But anyway these are my main enemies, since I use Thunder in an active driving around and offensive way, and I don't have so much distance.
3) Thunder - i kill myself sometimes, especially when the mid- and short rangers come up close and they don't do so much damage like mine. Well this relates to Thunder kill-steal capabilites... I would estimate that maybe 15% of my deaths are selfkills, I carry nearly all the time Thunder protection.
4) Shaft - they are a match, but if you are able to sneak a bit, then you can get them before the laser reaches you
5) Situational turret based upon map - in a standoff vs. a Smoky I lose in general. The thing is that Thunder shouldn't aim so much for single tanks, but attack a whole group. Rico is one of the biggest dangers, because of its fast killing capabilities. Luckily people most of the time use it on light hulls, which let me kill them in 2-3 shots.

I love driving up to a thunder user all like: "Shoot me and see what happens!"

They be like: "Oki doki!" *fires and dies*

xD

Um, hammer. Freeze. And Firebird.

"Oh look! I have spotted an enemy!"

*he sneaks up to the unsuspecting tank, Sneaky Snitch by Kevin MacCloud (probably spelled wrong) playing in the background*

"He won't see me coming!"

*Equips Double Damage and gets right up behind the player and fires*

*Dies because he is using wasp*

No thunder player uses wasp. The lightest is Hornet, and that's a rare occasion.

(Unless he's a total noob using M0s at Third lt..)

40K?? Holy crap not bad for a WO3

I have 50K. I'm broke

Nice you still have your "noob pass"

I know from experience that, when using thunder, I die more often by being killed, not self-destructing. Like its not even close- maybe 40:1

Still, w/o thunder protection Self-Damage is something best avoided, my thunder m3 takes about a QUARTER of my health if I run to a wall and shoot it head on.

I have Kodiak TC M3.

I love it when thunder's drug DD and then I manage to get up in their face.  Serves them right.

Thunder, being a gun with range, can avoid all short-ranged turrets easily.  I would think hammer and Smoky would be bad enemies for thunder users.
