I sorta do the same thing except with Mammoth/Vulcan.

vulcan is slow on the damaging, Hammer gives sudden bursts of damaging and can blow rail off aim. Mammoth is so slow and big meaning you'll be the pinnacle of taking hits.

 

In short, my combo is better for survival being Hornet and Hammer

There was a time when a Hornet-Railgun doing peek-a-boo against a Mammoth-Vulcan with some protection would take more damage than the Mammoth.  

 

I think Viking-Hammer is the new best "troll xp/bp" combo. ;)

Actually they ignore me since I have a heavy hull so they think I'm useless until their entire team is dead 15 seconds later.Then they rage quit.

 

There was a time when a Hornet-Railgun doing peek-a-boo against a Mammoth-Vulcan with some protection would take more damage than the Mammoth.  

If you time it right and get a good angle you can kill the Hornet/Railgun user with taking much damage.I win in that type of situation 80% of the time.
