Valid Automatic removal of serious laggers

I know that there is a topic similar to this, but i just lost a gold box catch against a titan who were pushing me but he couldn't take the gold, i was a titan too so i couldn't push him, he had high ping so he couldn't take the gold, but he somehow managed to push me far back and the other tanks took the gold, i suggest that who ever has high ping for 5 seconds will get kicked from the battle, you say it ruins the experiance for people who has low speed internet, i say it ruins the game for others who play with/against him, and that what most games does with laggers anyway.

I agree. Lagging players are a real problem to teams so its better for lagging players to automatically be removed from battles. Players can return to new matchmaking battles after being removed from the current battle if they lag.

Good idea, but due to the age range targeted by the game, this may be off putting.

This is where my idea about the processing in the server being done, possibly even partnering with a cloud gaming service to offer the game, this will alleviate the problem of lagging mentioned in the OP, resulting in fairer, more engaging matches, possibly saving electricity costs depending on usage: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=367622

So basically your lags made your tank move in an awkward way on your screen? That would mean that whenever the client sent an information to the server (about shooting, for example), the server would process this and only then return that info to the client. Once this happened, it got updated on your screen. If your PING count was low, such things probably did not occur unless the server had problems.

 

Nowadays laggers have no problem with driving – their tanks drive smoothly. Instead, an they often shoot you behind walls or lag under your tank.

So the old system must have been better! Why let laggy tanks shoot others behind walls – just count it as a miss. And if their tanks move in a strange way so that they can juke shots, they should not have control over it, either.

 

If what you say is true, I deeply hope this game will go back to its previous state in that aspect.

That's true. Tanki was much more simpler back then and I had a new computer ("Hey Dude!! You're getting a Dell!) so I doubt it was me doing all the lagging. There were a lot of players complaining about lag, as there is now. The Mods were telling us to reduce the screen size. I was on Iran map and lagging terribly. I reduced my screen size to not much larger than a large postage stamp. Everyone looked like ants running around.

 

Some laggers do have a problem driving. A few days ago, I saw a Wasp that would move forward and suddenly make a 90* right angle turn, turn around come back, make a sudden 90* left angle turn, then a 45* left turn all in about 1-1/2 seconds, very fast. Then he stopped completely for a second. He started up again and seemed alright. Next time I saw him, he was making those sharp quick turns again and ran under his teammate. After that, he logged out. He isn't the only one I've seen do that, but he's a prime example. On rare occasions, I see tanks turn into a building.

 

Personally, I don't have a big problem with laggers like that. I know that in some areas of the globe, the players are very far away from a server, probably just on the edge of the signal. It's not their fault, so I try to be tolerant of them and kinda feel sorry for them. Yes, they have run into my tank and knocked my aim off, plus the other aforementioned problems. But there are players who are not lagging who do the same thing on purpose. Just another day on Tanki.

this idea is not fair too.. ik its not fair when the team has a lagger .. but if we kicked the lagger it will be not fair for him too..

He doesn't control the internet to kick him out .. He wants to play but he can't have fun cuz he has a bad internet ...

You can add this feature , but please don't ban the lagger from the game .. Just kick him from the battle Just like this

Yes, you're right, if this was implemented, there should be a message stating why. There are times when I'm playing effectively and suddenly I see a black screen for a reason unbeknownst to me.

If you cant go against laggers, become one. Its not so hard, i can just pay $0.5 weekly for insanely slow unlimited celluar data and ruin everyone's gold box catches

Not a very good Idea. We barely has players to play this game. The numbers are dropping here. As CabbageRoll said, everyone can get 2G internet and have fun.

Kicking players because their internet is bad is not the way to go. Cheaters - yes, inactive players - yes, but forbidding players with poor internet to play Tanki Online definitely won't happen for all battles. As a setting for PRO battles - maybe, but still a very small chance of this being implemented.
