Fix spam error

Hello! i know many many users spam chat with random symbols and sometimes it even doesnt have cooldown.

If you type this in chat (Do at your own risk) you will get message as seen on image

This can be done without getting bans just because they put a semi-color in front of it, which makes the chat think that its a username, and no bans for that. I hope this would be looked into and fixed anytime soon.

Well yes phantom but i got ban for doing this only once. And for the reason why i got ban they changed the rule completely AFTER i got ban,

They sent me e-mail like this-

 

 

Ofc that rule seems to be legit so me being such - went to game rules and checked it. Seems they have changed rules without updating them in internet (Joke. They just werent able to get better reason for banning me).

 

So yeh.. not gonna comment anymore but i will post screenshot here.

2.4.11. Starting topics and/or creating messages in game chats and/or on the Forum that:

2.4.11.4. Contain the following in the title and/or description of the topic or message: irrelevant or repeated symbols or characters, emoticons, referral links, “cheat codes”, information that complicates the understanding of the topic or section, or does not have any meaning (Flood), for example == – My topic – ==;

 

I highlighted the parts of those rules that apply to your specific situation. What you posted is considered 'irrelevant or repeated symbols or characters'. It doesn't matter whether you post something like  or something like <><>.

FYI, those rules have been there for much longer than just since you received your ban.

 

Having said that, the anti flood system certainly has its flaws and hopefully the developers will be able to come up with a more sufficient anti flood system in the near future.

It was something crazy to do , moderators don't watch which symbols or emotions are used,there are some repeative ones that suffer everyone ,so they clean it and punish those who do it.

I didn't forget it, because that part is irrelevant to your specific issue, since that part only refers to the forum.

The complete rule is about both forums and in game chats, while the examples given within the rule can refer to either one of those or both of them. The fact that part of the rule refers to the forum, does not mean the rule as a whole can be discarded when it comes to the server chats.

We did point out the issue about flood to developers some time ago, I guess it's not high on their priority list. Nothing more I can add except to be patient and wait for them to take some action...

Regarding your ban @CooperO is right - you cannot interpret the rules however you want to, the whole 2.4.11 section is clearly stating: "Starting topics and/or creating messages in game chats and/or on the Forum that...", which means that all 2.4.11.x rules apply to BOTH forum and chats. Your ban is justified, no question about that. And next time you have issues with chat ban please contact chat administrators about it instead of debating it on the forum. Take care.
