Quick battles and multi-account management

Please slightly reduce the size of Battle button. It's really too big. I have three suggestions for now.

The last suggestion is the best.

It's close to the battle option so you can select and un-select, without scrolling up and down.

Bottom is best also because you would first screen the current battle and if you find no battle of interest you carry on down the list and then hit the Quik battle button.

2 minutes isn't enough, especially if you have a slow PC, Internet connection or browser. A lot of times it takes longer

You are right that if a Windoes system crashes completely, you might need longer then 2 minutes to join back.

 

But please see the on the other side as well:

What happens to your team if you are 5min away?

The in fact have one player less, an noone can join in for you as you still block your slot.

In a team of 8, the seven others will face defeat, and get away with half of their crystals then the could have.

 

If you would be in their shoes, wouldn't you preffer that the "mult" is kicked after 2 minutes and they have a chance with a new joined warrior?

 

If a computer crashes often, reinstall the OS, get the latest drivers and install less (unused) software. It will also boot faster then.

 

 

 

And you guys stressed out because of the toilet break:

you are for sure mature enough to time your toilet break <before> you play Tanki. And if you play for several hours, just go to the tiolet each couple of hour <after a battle ends>, and not right in the middle of one.

That's not that hard.

Be brave and go early.. your toilet won't bite your ass off ;)

Will the "BATTLE" mechanism favor battles with more players, or do you have an equal chance of joining a battle with 2 players in it?

 

As the announcement says, the mechanism will favor battles with more players.

60min <-> 15min battles

 

I'd like to understand one thing:

the fund growns by flags, CPs, kills, ... - and not by the minutes you spend in a battle.

Why should the fund be larger, if you play 60 minutes, then if you play 4x15 minutes?

I simply don't get it.

 

 

I understand that in low ranks players join in, create fund and leave later on, as they realise the battle duration too late. They do not claim their share of the crystals, leaving more for the players that have been in all the time. But every experienced player should be clever enough to not do this any more, except he wants to fight until the end.

So why should a 60min battle has more fund, then 4x15 minutes?

 

 

I do not understand that.

Adding the quick battles feature now was a mistake. It's an unfinished product that was rushed to be released and as a result we got a useless button that only takes up space and rarely actually saves time in searching for a suitable battle manually. So I think it needs to be removed and added again later with improvements.

I simply don't get it.

Most of the time it's because in a 15-minute battle the first 3-4 minutes are spent on players leaving and joining the battle and changing equipment. So often there is very little actual battle going on. While in a 60-minute battle people join and keep playing the whole time. At least that's the theory.

I totally agree. Tanki has been going a little on the downhill side lately.

the battle button seems to use a quite narrow rank range to map players into same battles.. and it seems not work across servers (yet). If you start at EN1 and press the battle button you are likely to end alone, as so few players play on EN1 (more on EN2).

Same if you go on RU1, as the battle button sends you to a normal battle, while on RU1 you have mainly pro battles (and I guess none of them uses toe battle button anyways).

 

This feature will take some time to pick up pace.. and I hope they extend it soon in terms of additional capabilities. At the moment I alsmost completely share mafio's rating, that the feature was released a little too early.

 

the only players that have a massive gain already today, are the newcomers, that are completely new to this game. They have a beneift already today.

I don't like the removal of 30&60 min battles. I usually play Polygon CP. There were always 60&30 min games, sometimes more than 15 min games. Now there are only 15 min games. The developers should at least consider giving the 30 min battle back.

 

Pause time down to 2 minutes is a good idea. I hate when inactive player ruins the game for my team.

I get removed from the battle because of inactivity before it even stops loading. I see the loading bar and then it says that I have been removed from the battle due to inactivity before it even stops loading! Bad update!

The button NEVER says "sorry, no battles found"

 

I think the button actually CREATES a new battle for you if a 'suitable' one does not exist. That's why we high ranks end up in empty battles?

 

Can someone confirm?

It is true, it creates a battle for you if it finds none (makes sense somehow.. :p)

 

sometimes when you click the button, you can see how the battle you will be put into is crated, right before the loading starts.

Absolutely love the 2 minute inactivity kick, inactive players has been a major pain in this game, I would even go one step further and auto kick players if he/she has been warned 3 times within one 15 minute battle, they really don't deserve any fund.

 

I have gotten used to 15 minute battles, its much easier to walk away when the battle turns bad, as there is no big fund at stake, and I don't have to be abused by arrogant druggers, hackers, and mults/saboteurs ruining game balance.

 

The battle button is useless and I will never use it, it is just too hard to find good battles, and no AI can do a better job at finding a good battle as well as I can on my own. Funds are just to low to waste time in an unbalanced battle, to join random battles selected by an algorithm is counterproductive.

 

I doubt I will stick around long enough to make use of the pro pass, as it is, I really don't see myself earning enough funds to maintain a competitive garage beyond M2, over the years, I spent hundreds on this game, and in the end, it was all for nothing, there is absolutely no difference in gameplay between playing M0 to playing M4, if anything, the game is much better below M3, the only difference in Legend battles, is that you have to repeatedly click 1,2,3,4,5 every 15 seconds as well as battle. The only good thing pro battles had for me were the XP, and XP/BP format, and the rare no supply battles.

 

I just find it is sad that the developers constantly have to spend all their efforts on countermeasures caused by poor game design, and not address the root causes of the problems that have created these problems in the first place.
