Quick battles and multi-account management

So, now the pause time has been reduced to 2 minutes as the default battles are 15 minute long, and this has actually caused quite a lot of trouble for people playing long battle.

So what about pause time being decided on the basis of how long is a battle. This means the pause time would be a particular percentage of the total battle time.

As for the CP, CTF, TDM, or DM modes where the timer is off, we could calculate average time it takes to kill a tank, capture a flag, etc and then calculate the pause time on it's basis.
Now, I agree the time to do these tasks can vary quite a lot as there could be battle where a team captuers 10 flags in 15 minutes, while there are battles where no team manages to capture a single flag for like 30 minutes.
This idea could of course be made better with time.

When are mults going to be tackled? The problem is worse than ever.

The two-minute pause time limit does not seem to have solved this problem.

 

Not sure why mults not being kicked out. Are they moving the tank periodically?

What happens when you report a mult? A moderator checks his/her other battles and deletes the account if it's really a mult?

Nobody can delete accounts. (Except maybe the developers if they specifically target that player and take the trouble.) They just block them.

It's basically the same, isn't it? It means the player cannot play on that particular account.

Don't even think about it. They won't do anything. I am wondering do they put mults there to make the results more balance so that the winning team won't get too many crystals? Then how do you expect them to "fix" this "problem"?

Nothing happen. Don't worry. Probably the mults are working for them.

Check this idea to make happy those that want more pause time.

 

If you hit the pause button and 2 minutes passes and there's no activity, you'll be put on hold and someone else will take your place. You'll not be kicked out and you'll not loose your reward, you just have to wait for an opening to comeback to battle and show the system that you are ready to comeback. But if another 2 minutes after you were put on hold passes and there's still no activity, then you'll be removed from battle.

 

Tanki should also count total activity from both teams players, and if there is no activity from some players in one team because of pauses or mults the auto-balance system should compensate the affected team by allowing another player to enter this team and not allowing more players to the other team even if this will create an imbalance in number of players for each team.

 

The hold system could also be used to balance the number of players when a new battle starts and many from one team have left leaving fewer players compared to the other team. Those put on hold could be those that finished last in the other team, they could have the option to wait for an opening or join the other team.

Depending on the violation and karma, the violator's account is blocked for either a limited time or forever.

FALSE. When someone gets punished for sabotage for the first time (and maybe the second time as well), he's only disconnected from the chat for 24h or one week. This is why you don't read "Reported to the tech support for temporary block" in all reports

All bans for Game violations are Account Blocks which means that violator cannot play the game at all. Also,as I said, depending on karma, they can be either temporary or permanent. For more information, you can contact their admin, Yele.

That is NOT true. Anyone who reports a saboteur can verify it by himself: once your report has been successfully processed, check the violator's ratings: his stats of the current week have been reset. Check his ratings every day and if you ever see values within the next days then it means he's still able to play and, therefore, has only been disconnected from the chat. However, if you read this in your report

 

It means FrUsTrAtEd_NooB has already been banned in the past so you might not see values on his ratings page before one week

Are you reaalllllyyy arguing with a mod? Cuz it's not going to work... Mods win every time :D

Unless @beaku proves us that Tanki blocks an account when his owner is punished for sabotage for the first time, my statement is still true and as I said, you can verify it by yourself. I have reported enough parasites to know how punishments work.

This is getting rather off topic.... But, I do have official confirmation. As I said before, you can PM Yele and ask her directly.

Discussions regarding blocks or bans are not done in public. These things are to be discussed in PMs.

Is there a chance that this rule is cited out of it's focus? This talk here is not about individuals and their received bans and account blocks.. but about the rules in general.

 

I honestly would like to know the rules and paradigms that chat-bans and account-blocks are handled in general. I guess Tanki has no reason to hide it's rules. I also do not request to change them, I just like to know them.

That is what you have mods and admins for. Pm any of us with any doubts you have and we will gladly explain.
