This sounds like a suggestion for those players who never learned to turn their turret. Now you want the game to do it for them? I'm a Vulcan player and prefer to have full control over my turret. I want to shoot at what I want to shoot at, not what a game "thinks" I should be shooting at. If a tank that is attacking me is being served by an Isida, I'd rather get the Isida out of the picture first, otherwise, I'm just wasting my bullets.

The gyroscope is practically non-existent.  Get hit with big impact weapon and you are firing at the sky. They nerfed that a while ago.

One more reason why Vulcan is bad on light and medium hulls ;)

As it is now Vulcan is only good for long range and since we can't choose maps that makes it a pointless turret.  Bringing back the gyroscopic effect would help, but the turret needs to have a faster spin and faster rotation.

Vulcan spin-up should be completely removed.

No. The Vulcan spin-up is to make it weak to peekaboo, which is good compensation for its really high DPS. 

3 seconds is probably too long though; I thought it was fine back when it had 1 second

Alternatively, they can remove the damage dropoff and turn it into a true long-range weapon. It already has the appropriate nerfs of a long-range weapon.

Game balance is more important than some wannabe realism.

 

Real 20mm M61 Vulcan takes only 0,5 seconds to spin up.

With the super slow spin-up and slow rotation, reinstating the gyro is the only thing that might make Vulcan decent to use anymore.

From what I see Vulcan still has a gyro. What changed?
