[Declined] Show "Damaged" parts of tank.

Recommended Posts

This is pretty difficult to explain, but here it goes. In the lower right part of your screen, there should be an image of a diagram of your tank.

HlfpCfg.jpg?1

This is a bad example, but imagine this image. Now forget the details (paint) and now imagine

the lines of the tank highlighted in white, giving you a diagram.

Now when you take damage, whichever "section" took in the hit, the damage will show on the diagram, coloring the section in a color, depending on the amount of damage, the color will vary. Here is an example

Normal: clear

Light damage: pale yellow

Moderate damage: yellow

Medium damage: yellow - orange

Heavy damage: orange

Critical damage: red

Almost no health: section will flash, lines around section flash white

Dead: section will blink red and a notification above you will say: "Warning! Hull section breached!" then will show you a mini diagram, with the dead section blinking red.

Now here i will explain the amount of damage.

Light: 1 - 20% full health, armor, damaged

Moderate: 20 - 40% armor damaged

Medium: 40 - 60% armor damaged

Heavy: 60 - 80% armor damaged

Critical: 80 - 95%

Almost no health: 95%+

If damage is in between any scenarios, color will darken.

Your hp will be your current armor. So here is an example: Viking, 1185 hp.

Now for armor. The devs should decide how much armor each section should have. Maybe to start you should have 1000 armor per section.

The moment you take damage, your hp is unaffected. Your armor takes the hit. As soon as a section's armor reaches 0, Your hp will begin to drop. Example: section armor = 0; section is hit, no armor to take damage, therefore hp will be affected. Now let's say that someone fires smoky. Damage: 249. Armor to section that is hit: 100. Now 100 of the 249 damage was absorbed by the armor. armor = 0. now the remaining 149 is gone to your hp.

Now for repair kits. I believe that repair kits should only repair the sections of armor, not your hp, cause that would be way to OP.

If you think that this way to complicated, comment below. But don't worry! I decided to not do the same thing for turrets, or should I?

Anyway please share your thoughts in the comments.

In Tanki Online it doesn't matter where your tank got hit, as it performs equally well regardless of what health it's at and where it was shot. Therefore it's pointless to display such a visual representation of the damage on your tank because the simple health bar we have already is enough to show this information. Such a display would only take up space on the screen.

Ahh, just like IGI. The difference in this game, is that it doesn't really matter which part of your turret/hull has been hit. If you are hit, it means you lose health points, and for this simple mechanism, the current heath bar is sufficient.
