[Declined] Weak spots

Tanks should have weak and strong spots. For example, being shot in the tracks would result in more damage that being hit in the side plates. Being hit in the Turret would result in more damage than being shot in the back.

 

And perhaps, if this is a good idea, upgrading each part of the tank separately - Tracks, Turret, Back, Front, Sides, Top of hull.

Developers decided that this feature is unnecessary and doesn't fit in with the gameplay. This game is more about manoeuvres and using your weapon's special ability effectively, rather than choosing the right place to shoot the enemy. And battles are so quick that you simply don't have enough time to aim - just shoot and try to hit the opponent before they hit you. 

 

Besides, you can't even aim precisely in this game due to lack of vertical aim (only exception being Shaft), so if damage depended on hit location, it would be mostly luck.

the bold bit - wait, I presume this idea comes somehow from World of Tanks, and their battles are even shorter than TO ones! Wat?!

 

Tho Mafio's points are quite legit, altho some bits might not harm... but hey, TO is NOT World of Tanks! (I shan't name, you'll know, but, don't mult on this by saying WoT's a bad word. That's getting annoying now)

I phrased my post incorrectly. By "quick" I meant "fast-paced", so everything happens a lot faster than in WoT and other tank games and you can't really take the time to position yourself in a way that protects weak parts of your tank from potential enemy fire. So it would be a case of just playing normally and hoping that your weaker areas get hit less.
