Changes in the battle creation system

so true another 50 % sale for all what we now earn on battles .. oh wait it will be another drug sale .. but how on the **** can we use it when there wont be any drug wars..lol

Sorry, the stats cannot be made public. I know the mechanism isn't perfect yet, but we're working on making it better. Give it some time.

It appears to me, that the Devs themselves are not giving the time to the battle button (especially when checking the statistics!) and they released it as well with a not really thoughtout functionality.

you might think that just because its the same players moaning all the time  others don't  care but they do its just they ,now can't be bothered or know nothing will change ..with all the complaining that goes on..which it looks like it is starting to be true cause when minority rules and we have asked who these players are we seem to not get any answer's ... for me i have never been asked  since you started on how i personally like or dislike these updates ..and if it is minority then your not reading the threads but your own .. there are so many complaints in other sections on issues and yet there ignored ..

 

the only time mine gets looked into its cause i post them in your post.. so they you' re face to see what was posted and you have been sending them in.. for now we want no more updates till our issues are sorted from the last update and yea my issues with lag spikes and re-enter the game thingie popping up when i first start a battle and in others the last two minutes of battles are activated .. so many have complained and yet why are they not getting looked into ....???

If you cannot choose your battle, then how will you decide what equipment to use? I mean, pretend I want to be a Shaft in a long range battle. Also, I'll add, I do not have any short range weapons. So, when I arrive in Arena, what do I do? Keep quitting and clicking "battle" until I find a suitable battle? I'm not trying to have a go at anyone, and am only pointing this out. Sorry if I'm doing so in an overly dramatic and exaggerated manner.

 

Just to confirm, is the option to manually join battles being completely removed?

No, it isn't. The battle-log is not going to be replaced by a gigantic green button that says "BATTLE". The Battle button can create non-PRO battles that anyone can join.

*Sigh* guys... you can't expect something to live off of nothing, can you? Even if it seems that it's a terrible update, Tanki has to survive. Something is better than nothing.

what this new update has now  created issues on who can create battles and who can't which is wrong on all levels .. in a way of discrimination to players who don't need or want to get one..of the passes

Everyone can create battles. They just need to buy a PRO pass to get that ability.

 

Just got my pro pass 2 hours ago, i demand a refund

It's only a couple thousand crystals you lost. Nothing worth compensating.

 

Hoo whee. So. You have the map missions covered for a worst case scenario. But what about gamemode XP, eh? What if you have a mission for 500 DM XP, and if by some unholy curse DM matches become nonexistent? What about missions for completing matches in First place? I have an exploit I use to fix this, it's called 1v1 TDM matches. Makes my life easy. But guess I can't make now?

What if I told you that with the PRO pass you can complete the mission on three first places in less than a minute. While without it you had to wait 45 minutes. The PRO pass is just an extremely useful thing to have and it will be even more so after the update. If you don't have one by the end of today, then I don't know what you're thinking.

Does that mean everyone on mission chain 1 or more will get free daily PRO Battle Passes?

Or does that mean after logging in everyday for 7 days in a row, we start getting free pro pass per day?

It simply means that for the next 7 days, every single player will have PRO pass for free. This is done so that you can get used to the update and make appropriate decisions regarding what to purchase next. It's particularly valuable for players, who never bought a PRO-pass before, but did often create battles. It allows them to experiment with PRO battle creation.

What'll happen to those dead maps? Magistral, Duality, Courage, and other such maps will become obsolete, and Tanki will eventually just remove those! This is madness!

Actually, this update will have the exact opposite effect. The random battle generation system doesn't have any preference for mainstream maps like Polygon and Silence and it just chooses a random map from the list, so there should be a lot more variety and rare maps will be played more often.

Since the introduction of the “Battle” button, our statistics have clearly shown that the vast majority of our players prefer to use this mechanism to join battles. This button will send the user to a non-PRO battle that fits his or her rank.

OMG, seriously? You make so drastic decisions using statistics of a feature announced November 16th (7 days ago)? Obviously you see it is used by the majority of the users, it's a new feature and everyone wants to give it a try, like when you introduce a new map (and you know, after some weeks some survive, some dies in the oblivion) :huh:

However, players often use the “Create Battle” button to create special non-PRO battles, such as 1 vs 1 duels and unofficial format battles (such as Save the Gold and Tanki Sumo). Since these are non-PRO battles, players who press the “Battle” button will often end up in these very specific battles, ruining the fun for the organizers. But after the update, all battles created with the “Create Battle” button will be PRO battles, which means the “Battle” button will never send a player to one of those battles.

So change the algorithm to exclude these battles as targets; who wants to make a sumo or save the gold can buy a pass and make a private battle (that is however what will be required with this update)

To clarify some of my earlier posts, here's what I want to know:

 

Since non-PRO users cannot create battles, the server will create empty battles automatically (after server restart) like on the test server. Could you fill me in on how the algorithm for that works? For example, will it create battles on less-known maps as well? How many Polygon battles will it make?  What will be the relative ratio of game-modes?

When a player clicks on Battle! and there are no suitable battles on the server, the server will create a battle based on the player's filters. If The player selected only DM to be visible, then a DM battle will be made. If the player makes CP, TDM and CTF, then the server will randomly choose one of three game modes.

 

As far as I know, the maps will be completely random. Although I have a feeling that larger maps will be more common, so you won't end up getting sent to some Duel map. But I'm not sure about that - we'll see in a few hours.

 

Also notice that it is PRO/​PREMIUM​... is this going to be the end of the PRO pass?

PRO pass will always be available to buy for crystals in the garage. Premium account is just an alternative way of getting access to battle creation.

What are you talking about? All standard battles will still have supplies as usual, while you'll still be able to create no-supply or full-drug battles if you have a PRO pass, just like you can do it now.

Mafioso- you said that if there are no DM's the battle button will create a DM. But what map will it be in and what is the probability for each of the maps? Is it completely random?

From what the test server had shown, new battles are only created by the server when all the other battles are full. So if you have a map specific mission be prepared to wait a few hours or buy the PP.

But what about as soon as the server restarts? I'm not talking about making new battles I'm asking what determines the map choices of the originals? When it creates a new battle what map will it be on? Thanks again. :)

Probably nothing until players click the play button. In any case, we'll find out in about half an hour.

what will end up happening is more non drug battles and less druggers wanted battles ..wait and see
