Changes in the battle creation system

sorry to dissapoint you but most of the so called pro battles are drug using battles, i know i played in them for a month

And im sorry to disapoint you... DONT GO INTO PARKOUR BATTLE and there is radiobutton or checkbox (Forgot :o ) to disable supply use.

well if the battles on the list are pro drug battles and the one i create with no drug no one wants to join, there are not too many option left, think before you write something

Well if u are scared from pro battles that much... Im not sure but i think there is a button wich throws you in a non-pro battle.

Then why do you make these updates in such small steps, that they make no sense when they are separately implemented?

Because if you had to wait for the whole thing to be finished, it would take a lot longer. Additionally it's important to also see the components in isolation

If you cannot choose your battle, then how will you decide what equipment to use? I mean, pretend I want to be a Shaft in a long range battle. Also, I'll add, I do not have any short range weapons. So, when I arrive in Arena, what do I do? Keep quitting and clicking "battle" until I find a suitable battle? I'm not trying to have a go at anyone, and am only pointing this out. Sorry if I'm doing so in an overly dramatic and exaggerated manner.

 

Just to confirm, is the option to manually join battles being completely removed?

No. You can always pick a battle from the list of available ones, as always.

you still dont get my point, i wont try to explain more, i am not scared of pro battles, i actually like those without supply use, but this change is a little over the hill

The Battle button and this update is a step towards randomized battles and getting rid of mults so +1
I entered the game and saw that most of the pro battles had full supplies + MU on so I have to say the update is useless. -1

IMO, no matter what Tanki does now to externally change the game and a try to make it fair will not work as no matter
what they do this game is dead.

The main problem is in the balance of power between the buyers and non buyers through MU and supplies is what they
need to fix.
Removing micro upgrades may save this game. As the gap between buyers from non buyers will decrease.
For me, this game is only a holiday game now. I only find it interesting and exciting when Christmas and Halloween.
The reason I loved tanki was because it was simple and easy but now it keeps getting complex and tough.

~Cedric please forward the developers the idea of removing MU and let us know what they say~

and what is your alternative to micro upgrades, since the last change i used a lot of crystals to upgrade my fire, since i couldn't buy the m3 anytime soon, and i only upgrade as soon as i accumulate enough crystals in games. I have to say if after all this effort if at the next rank up i still wont be able to get the m3 i will leave this game forever.

I found the battle button pretty useful and reduction in PRO pass price for lower ranks is also welcome

Hopefully we find more PRO battles and sufficient map diversity through the battle button

Actually, this update will have the exact opposite effect. The random battle generation system doesn't have any preference for mainstream maps like Polygon and Silence and it just chooses a random map from the list, so there should be a lot more variety and rare maps will be played more often.

are you sure? The battle button has often sent me into empty battles (= so I know they were created new) and they were all usual well known maps, like sandbox, silence, ...

 

 

My daughter discovered Tanki about six months ago or so.  We have both enjoyed playing Tanki very much; so much so that I was about to buy her and myself $100 worth of crystals and ten gold boxes to drop...so about $220 with both accounts.

this is usual here. There are rebalances all 9..12 months. But the balance is less about balancing power of equipment, but more about balancing the usage time of gear in battles. So if a turret is used too much, it gets nerved.. if a turret like freeze is used too less, it's got now buffed again (please note that freeze was nerved 1.5 years ago).

If they would balance out the power but leave the basic characteristic of hulls and turrets, it would be fine. So but they change critical aspects and it makes you wanna throw the turret in the corner..

 

summed up: dont spend a lot of money here for turrets and hulls.

If you wanna buy golds to have fun with your friends, that's another story. Same for unique paints that you love. But all things that might get rebalanced is very likely to be changed, in a way that it makes no fun any more.

 

And "I haven't seen anyone mult in months"? Are you serious? That's one of the things people keep complaining about, and now all of a sudden it's not a problem? C'mon.

He is in lieutannend ranks, the number of mults there is low. The problem starts to arise in the higher ranks.

In medium ranks the turrets and hulls are affordable if you plan ahead, or if you buy a little with money (10..20 EUR?).

 

in high ranks a full M4 upgrade of a single turret and a single hull costs you 2Mio crystals, which are about 200 EUR (double crystal card already counted in). Therefore players use mults to earn crystals the cheap way.

Most Pro Battles today are plain ordinary battles with a Pro-Battle-Star-Tag

Why? If I

-> create a plain, ordinary battle, becuase of the map I like to play

-> and change no settings at all

-> it is automatically a PRO battle with that Star-Tag  -> fail.

 

 

Please change:

battle with default settings = normal

battle with _only_   [changed time but time>0] or [changed teamsizes] -> = normal

any other settings combo = pro

 

or like it was once ago: [create battle] gives you access to normal battle settings and a [Pro Battle] button.

By clicking the [pro Battle] control you get more settings..

 

Please consider also

- players that have Pro Passes

- and create their battles because of their beloved map

- and leave all settings on default

-> DO WANT normal, non-pro players to join those. Else they would have changed the settings (non drugs, no time limit, ...)

But your Battlebutton sends noone there, and non-pro users can not join there.

 

 

(which should tell you that many players just wanna create and play battles manually becuase of the maps they like to play and the teamsizes they preffer..)

Mult are going to be there no matter what .. nothing they do will stop them from battling ..

 

its the same with druggers .. if you feed the drugger ( daily missions )  then the drugger will survive ...you stop feeding it then they will have to go else where to get there food , and in time druggers will stop due to spending hard cold cash will end up hurting there real life spending over time ..

I allowed my self to take my own statistics:
 

Server EN3 + EN4 + EN5 ////, avg. serverload was 73%

thereof:
50% of battles: former normal battles.
          They use ALL default settings. Players just selected map + sometimes teamsize or lenght
42% of battles: True pro battles
          They made use of changed settings (gold off, or drugs of, of SCD off, or whatever)

8%   of battles created by the Battle-Button (non pro)

 

Conclusion:
1) Players love to choose their own maps + teamsize (and sometimes, but rare: time limit), instead of using your battle button.

2) Naturaly only the very low ranked players use that button more frequently (it is usefull for them).

3) Even if a lot of players hit that button -> not many stay there. Most leave and pick a manual battles thereafter. Please revise your statistics methods (mine are not perfect too, but at least they match the players perception :P).

 

actually.. exactly as expected by so many users around here..

when was the last time you saw some updated being reverted back. maybe 2 years back and only once...

 

if they can not figure it out by the negative feedback of players after each lousy update they make... they will never figure it out..

 

and what numbers for "battle" button are they referring too.. no one clicks it at my rank.. i only clicked it once to see what it was on the launch.. they are making a fool out of you all..

Everybody is right about the "battle" button, i only used it twice, and both of the times it was a fiasco, took me to irrelevant or empty battles...

At the moment what I'm seeing is that the game desperately needs a way to find the PRO battles you want, with a battle search and/or battle filter feature. Because there are tons of player-made PRO battles and all of them have different settings, so I want to be able to find the battle I like (preferably on any server) by filtering all the battle settings, including selection of the range of time/flag/kill/point limits, ranks and number of maximum players.

I do not agree with this new mechanism since it does not oblige to buy PRO pass, to be able to create battles, and not to press the button "battle" and also it takes us to a battle that we do not want to fulfill the Daily Missions

yes this is a game  and for the last time things were changed were not that long ago when DM tournaments failed due to lack of players in lower ranks using them .. and also the multi player pass was also canceled and removed / same with crystals box's .. so in theory things can be changed back if they wanted to ..

Clear indication TO is going to be for buyers only.. one of the upcoming update:  "all non-buyers, you are not able to log-in due to non payment.. please quit"

I replay this topic and those kids in Russia erased it because they can handle the truth!!! Stop whit al those stupit updates!!!!! Do something aboud the terrible lag and the another bugs in this game!!!!!!

If you wanna make your interface truely easier,

 

- introduce a unified lobby where players can see battles from all servers

- make filters that are initially hidden and open up only if you click at a filter button

   -- add map filters, format filters, gamemode filters, rank filters

   -- pre-fill all filters with default data, so that the displayed battles make sense, even if you never touched the filters yourself

- make the battle button make use of those filters

I agree removing MUs wil work, but they wont because they want money and MUs give huge money... they dont remove anything money related, but everything that is non-buyer free... I get a sence that TO is going to be pay and play game in the future
