Changes in the battle creation system

These update sucks like the others...

I believe that the way to fix the missions issue is:

 

1. If you have a mission to earn XP on a certain map, then you will be forwarded to a battle in that map. If such a map is not available, a new battle with that map will be created fo you.

2. If you have a mission tot earn XP on a type of battle (DM, CTF, TDM or CP), then you will join only battles of this type if you press the "BATTLE" button, once you do not have anymore mission of a map type.

3. Same goes for "Capture points" or "Capture flags" missions.

4. If you have a mission "finish first X times", this mission should no longer exist, because you cannot establish that with the "BATTLE" button,

5. Missions like "collect drugs", "earn XP (regardless of the map)" and "destroy enemies" will work OK with the new update.

 

That would fix (or partly fix) the mission issue.

My only comment then would be that if i did not want to complete my mission at that time i would not be able to unselect this.  ie if my mission was XP in Rio but i didn't feel like playing Rio i would only have the option of joining an existing battle.  Clicking a new battle button would keep taking me to Rio.

So change your mission. You will not be "awarded" a second map mission, but another mission of a different category that is available to you.

give it time for us to see what will happen with issues ... and most reasons why we all play is cause we enjoy the game .. but the way its heading not sure in time it will tell wither some are staying or leaving ...

The prospect of "Tanki's downfall" isn't anything new; it goes back on updates for as long as I can remember. How much time does one exactly need to figure out if they stay or quit?

 

Secondly, most people who are, from what I take from your words, 'uncertain' about the update don't seem uncertain at all. They seem to be determined that this is a horrible update and so on...

In the past I have avoided using the "Pay To Play / Pay To Win" language, although the game has been moving toward P2W for a while.  Buyers have had the flexibility of more XP&crys, faster rankups, costomized pro battles, faster upgrades, deeper garages, and can afford to buy the alteration options.

 

But that is an old story.

 

This update is the first to significantly push the game toward Pay To Play.  Even if the cost of the PRO pass is in crystals, we must now sacrifice our in game earnings back into the game in order to keep playing.   :wacko:  "Free players will still be able to play using the Battle button" - sure if you only want to participate in 10% of the battles on the server, none of which help you with your daily missions?  Missions are my biggest concern - I am very concerned that the "Finish first in a battle" and "Earn XP on Map" Missions will become difficult to impossible without the ability for free players to create battles on those maps.  I'm sure it's no secret that the "Finish First" mission is 'life-hacked' by most players by creating 1-1 battles on tiny maps like Island and Arena.  Have a Pro pass?-great.  Don't have one?  Good luck finishing missions.

 

Confession - I'm a buyer.  I've been happy to put money into this game.  I am not happy that I now MUST buy a PRO pass to play the same way I played yesterday.  "Making the game simpler"?  :blink:    Then implement this for the first few ranks but keep the high ranks as they were.  Please understand that 'simplifying' the game for high ranks will bore experienced players into seeking their fun elsewhere.  Those players (myself included) want more options not less.  We've put months if not years into this game - that loyalty needs to be recognized, not punished.

Correction: It's not pay 2 win... it's MULTS 2 WIN.

 

Let's just face it... whoever uses them in battle 100% wins, regardless if you buy or not.,

I just love the tiered Pro Pass price, I've been advocating this update for yrs.

 

It's too bad they turned it into a Tax, by forcing players to get it each month just to be able to play the game, it no longer has the intended result.

well here we go again every up date i get this and this just happened all in the same game in less then 10 min .. for the battle it was garbage normally with drugs i get at less 35 or more in the battle i struggled to get this amount so yea it was a bad update

just cleared my system last night cause i knew this would happen

Ma'am, I can assure you there's no conspiracy of any kind behind these updates. If you calm down and think about it cooly, you'll realise it's not such a bad update. I'll be willing to pay 3.4k each month if it means I'll see twice the number of PRO battles and half the number of druggers. That's good for me. For supply users, they'll see more of drug wars which is good for them.

Hahaaaaaaa! yeah right!    Half of the pro battles do not change any other setting then the map itself..

I've changed my view on this update. I realize that PRO passes aren't such a need, since the BATTLE! button has been improved. I've had it create a nice map before, and it filled up very quickly. The update isn't so bad, now that I think about it... thanks to beaku for changing my view.
