Changes in the battle creation system

This game has now become a "Pay to Play" for those of us with limited ability who reach a certain standard and then find ourselves up against, either much more skilled players or those who spend heavily to get a more powerful weapon and bigger hull.  At that point I would choose to start over again from the bottom and work my way up earning updates.  That avenue has now effectively been blocked because of the need to buy a Pro-Pass or be limited to the battles provided.  I notice these battles are very limited.

 

Vulcan was supposed to be made less powerful but there is no evidence of that.  So now each game has been ruined by those who spend heavily to buy Vulcan at their earliest opportunity and combine it with a big hull.  The upshot of that is that if the Vulcan player is a good player they dominate the battle to the detriment of those who rely on a more nimble tank.

 

Altogether devs the game is slipping away down the plughole and I am not sure I want to go there.

You are right no one wants to pay to play you using people to pay money to game so u can get rich.

Seriously? Now you need a pro pass to create a battle? That is so stupid.

So now we have to waste 3200 Crystals every month just to create a battle.

If players do not have that amount of crystals that means they cannot 1v1 themselves or if his/her friends have a pro pass and create a battle yet you don't that's just crap!

Honestly not everyone is a buyer here with 3200 crystals, think of those noobs with m1 fire m1 wasp till like major ranked... this is frustrating.

 

Everytime Tanki makes a update it's either really good, But yet this one is so bull it reminds me of the supply wait update... I never thought Tanki was money hungry but seriously I think it is now.

This battle creation system is the worst of a long line of stupid recent changes by the devs. This is enough to cure my addiction to Tanki. I will not play anymore. A stupid "Battle!" button! Instead of fixing the elements of the game that are actually broken (e.g. battle imbalances), they go and make everything worse. 

 

1. I will not play in a losing battle. There is no point since there is no reward. The game is just made that way.

 

2. I want to play my daily missions and finding a game on the right map at the right level is already hard enough now I can't even create one. And no I will not pay to create games.

 

3. Different maps suite different turrent/hull combinations. Some maps I like, some maps I hate. 

 

I have paid to buy crystals. I have contributed and I feel deeply betrayed by this and many other recent changes. But mostly this change. 

 

I want my money back because it just isn't fun playing Tanki anymore. 

I feel you brother . This game will circle around the toilet bowl a few more times before it's completely flushed . It's well on it's way now . Maybe they will pull their heads out of their back sides , clean the brown goo from their ears and eyes and do something intelligent  for a change .

Having rejoined from the beginning with a new account I am offered 16 battles of which only 2 maps I like to play.  That is unless I buy a Pro-Pass to create a battle on a map I like with less players than 12 to a team.  It's hardly a good introduction for a brand new player is it?  Devs I am afraid this change to Tanki is a mistake and one that I feel you will live to regret.

 

A rapid change back to allowing new players to create a battle without making them pay has got to be a priority.

You're contradicting yourself. If you're a new player, why would you have any preferences for maps or modes? On the contrary, you would want to explore everything and for that, the battle button works perfectly.

Please bring the old feature back but seperate it for the Non- Pro players and Pro Players please I don't like the update, the new update doesn't let me play on my favourite maps and I feel that my confidence has been taken away through this update, please bring the old features back I think this update has made me less of a tanki player now.

No I am not.  There are many players, like me, who rejoin from the bottom rung because they/I reach the limit of ability so have to rejoin to enjoy the game (of fun) up against opponents of a similar ability, It is those who know what battles are available but now find themselves with a very limited number available unless they purchase a Pro-Pass.  I make allowance for the fact you are a mod and have reached a standard of rank that seems to indicate you are a strong player so know little of what it means to be a fairly weak player or one who prefers not to spend money.

MMO's in general are designed for two major categories of players: The elders (those who have been playing for a long time) and the newbies. Usually, no one thinks of making an allowance for elder players who start all over just for fun. After all, it's their choice and not the game mechanics itself which is leading them to make new accounts. In Tanki, however, there is a scope for such players (even I have 2-3 alts in newbie ranks) but even so, the game cannot be designed completely around us. When designing for newbie ranks, devs will think of players who are actually new and don't know anything about the game. That's where my previous statement applies.

When designing for elder players like us, they'll make changes at higher levels (like the recent Global Update which completely changed things at M3 level). So, I hope you understand why what you're asking cannot be done. The battle button has maximum utility at those ranks for players who are actually new. It doesn't make sense to allow them to create battles for free and then later make them pay for it.

I just got a mission to gain 300 exp on Barda map.  But there are no Barda battles on any server.  I don't have a pro pass, or want to use more crystals than I will gain from the mission to buy one.  I tried the Battle! button, but it sent me to some empty non-Barda mission.

 

This must be resolved, because it appears to everyone that you're trying to force players to spend money to buy crystals to get the premium passes!

 

The "Create battle" button should come back, with the option to disallow drugging included.  Such battles should be indicated in the list with a special icon or color.

WHY???? Seriously, you guys have taken these recent updates way to far. You trying to end up in a "Pay $10 dollars a month to play" kind of thing? 

I sometimes wish I only spent $10:00 a month .

I was planning to buy this week.

 

I have lots of time off from work in December and was going to buy the 30 day of Premium to get the most from my play time.

 

I'll decide based on what I see in the game tonight but it is not looking good based on what I am reading here. Both the battle creation system and the weapons nerf appear to have significantly compromised gameplay at my rank.

 

 

^premium gives you a pro pass anyways, so you are free to chose from all battles

 

I know about Premium and pro battles.  My point (poorly made) was that I have a map mission.  When I checked earler, I saw no battles, standard nor pro, on the map I needed or my mission.  If as a free player I cannot complete missions, no more money for AP.  :angry:  (first time in many posts I have ever used that emoji)

 

But I found a map and completed my mission just now, so I will continue to contribute financially to the game - for now.  :unsure:

 

Aside - that battle was FULL of Vulcans who had NO IDEA their turret had been NERFED today.  :D

I don't use the battle button. It takes me to empty battles, long battles, and is non customizable*. It doesn't even take into consideration my Missions. I also wish instead of 10 minutes minimums it was 5 minute minimums. I wish that the pause feature was reverted to 4 minutes, because now I get kicked out of battles while their still loading. I finally chucked out for a pro Pass, mostly so I can ban drugging! I wish that there was a way to separate mines from drugging because I don't believe mines to be a drug because of the style, and the fact the don't fall from the sky.

 

*nice features to be able to pick

-maps preferred and not preferred

-styles preferred and not preferred (eg No deathmatches)

-don't send me to the same battle 4 times in a row (it did that once, p1ssed me off considerably to have 6 minutes of my time wasted)

-alert me to which battle it picked so I can confirm

-how much time I want left

-Max length of time

-pro or not pro

-drugs or no drugs

 

Also, lengthen the time of a Pro Pass to 45 of 60 days. Paying up 35K crystal ANNUM is not something I look forward to. Thats a butt load of money for a poor hard working honest tanker like me! Also, don't buyer pigs have enough priviledges already without you stiffing the rest of us? I use the create button so I can actually play in maps I like, rather than Brest, Rio, Noise, and Polygon. All the reasons I'm buying a Pro Pass for. I also do it so I can finish my Mission in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm sorry I only come on the forums when I'm mad, its "supposed" to be relaxing.

I'm EXTREMELY UNHAPPY about this. I've spent $200 with Tanki and was about to spend another $100 this month, but now I will not be spending any more money with Tanki until this is changed back.

I'm not some 2nd class customer after a crystal purchase and the Premium access expires. I deserve to be able to create battles too.

Unless this changes it's the end of my crystal purchases and likely far less time playing on Tanki. This is not about making it easier for newbies who can't figure out how to use a slider to set ranks for a battle—IT'S A SLIDER for crying out loud.
 

I play Rio CTF 95% of the time and already I can't find a RIO CTF battle to play in because I'm now fully dependent (as a paying customer mind you) on someone else creating the kind of game I want to spend my time and my crystals in.

I salute your audacity to make more money (go capitalism!). Here's the other side of the coin—don't anger your loyal customers, or you may end up losing existing customers's money being so greedy.

I hope you'll see that you've alienated paying customers and will make the right accommodation for them.

Yay! Exactly why I hate tankers like you! What did you spend all those thousands of crystals on instead of working for them? Punching the living daylights and drugging the hell out of honest people who cant compete with you.

2 words for this mentality that makes what could be a fun game a game about winning: Sore. Loser. really dude, its gonna take 3 years to get to gizmo, plenty of time to earn crystals through farming or missions. 

 

If all you complainers leave, that would make a TO a better game, a game in which people cared about skills, not purchasing power and winning. I know that sounds harsh, but its a fresh perspective from a non-Helot.
