Changes in the battle creation system

(sometimes you really wonder if you should give options at all)

Please do _NEVER_ take away the players choise between DM, CP, TDM and CTF.

Players love to chose their gamemode, which you can see in their profiles (check distribution [ingametime spent per gamemode] or [experience earned per gamemode]. Those are never 25%-25%-25%-25% for an individual)

(they love it, like they love to choose the map they play - which is clearly seen by the risen number of pro battles after this update)

The one thing I like so much about Tanki is it is so like real life. People who spend a lot on money on this game do have the best equipment. Gives them great advantages and most use supplies as fast as they can. I find it funny because they drive out the people who make the game fun. They are left by themselves and don't get 1/2 of the crystals they could have gotten if they played on a somewhat level playing field. If you take out all the free players would the game be as fun? certainly not. This having to buy pro pass to finish your missions is essentially making the free players not really gonna keep going. Missions is how they get those crystals mainly. So it will effect even the pay players. Not a good update. I know you want more people buying crystals, but it will do the opposite in the long haul.

I consider myself a "free player" (only bought a small amount of crystals) and I have a Pro Pass. Everyone can afford it, even the free players. It has a really good price compared to the benefits it gives you.

For the lower/lowest ranks the PRO pass is still too expensive. But I'm glad you're happy. :)

The prices for low- and mid-rankers make no sense:

You increase the costs by 150 per rank, while players step through the first few ranks very fast, needing all crystals they can get to try out all M0 turrets and some hulls.

In the proposal below the pro pass price is based on what tankers could afford in each rank.

I think you better read what I wrote again because some how you took what I said and twisted it really bad. You are also adding things I never said so check yourself before you comment. Read, read and read and let it sink in. Also I personally don't care if people buy crystals but it's the buyers that support this game because without buyers there would be no Tanki Online period. I don't pay for supplies but I have paid to mico upgrade my equipment a bit when the sales are happening and I see no harm in that as you can only upgrade to as high as the rank you are. So with that in mind read my post again and try to understand that I don't think the Pro Pass is necessary and that the options the Pro Pass offers should be free in creating regular battles for all players at no cost.

No. I don't buy supplies. I don't even use most of the ones I get from missions so don't assume I'm spending on drugs.

.l have a job, I don't sit and play for several hours at a time so no, the Pro Pass isn't worth it to play 1 or 2 battles. I won't play much until the create button comes back.

Same I don't buy drugs, but later on I'm afraid I'll need more drugs.. who knows :/ and yup, I'm quite busy as well :/ however in a month I play a lot more than 1 or 2 battles :p I mean maybe 7 battles a week seems to be do able :p so it's quite worth it if I play around 30 battles ;)

Oh well, as you say so :/ GL irl :p

I suggest the following:

Rank 1 to 4 100 crystals

Rank 5 to 9 500

Rank 10 to 14 1000

Rank 15 to 19 2000

Rank 20 to 24 3000

Rank 25 to 29 4000

Rank 30... 5000

Can someone explain me, why there is no connection between the daily mission and the battlr button?

I had today a mission for earning experience in the Iran map today, but all the English servers and almost all the Russian servers didn't have an Iran battle. It took me one hour to find one.

It would be logical, that, when a mission for earning experience on a certain map is assigned, the battle botton would create that battle, if not available,

This is what one of the developers said about the map mission struggle:

After a few days with this update there are some interesting results.

Basic battles indeed become almost always full of players at any map there is. Though, the number of maps itself become much more limited. With less maps in the list comes problem of doing map-based daily mission properly. Variety of maps being created are around of 30 and daily mission comes only with around 10 of them.

Making daily missions be passable only via pro-pass is unintended, though there will be changes planned as we look closer at data during this weekend. There should be a way of achieving more maps in the list as well as keeping achieved variety.

So even though that is of not much use to you right now, it should be solved eventually.

So todays very brief playing session (30 minutes instead of 2 hours or so)
Joined EN 1 and there were a total of 9 battles available (pro and non pro). En2 not much better.
I think people are finally voting with their wallets / red X button as i have never ever seen a server that empty.

I see EN1 that empty 98% of the time.

Maybe he just needs cp. I know I all I needed was skylark. played 5 times yesterday and couldn't get it. played today, never got it. Need to buy pro pass to create it, well not gonna happen. Tanki needs to change its advertisement of play for free to pay to rank up or compete. I hope they change it back. Free players gonna be gone soon. The ones that come won't continue through the ranks as much.

The PRO Pass does not cost real money. It is simply wrong to say this system creates pay-to-play.

I suggest the following:

Rank 1 to 4 100 crystals
Rank 5 to 9 500
Rank 10 to 14 1000
Rank 15 to 19 2000
Rank 20 to 24 3000
Rank 25 to 29 4000
Rank 30... 5000

Worries about the cost to very low ranks can be put to rest IMO. Just consider how fast low ranks level up.

Let's say a new account buys a PRO Pass ASAP. After 30 days that account will probably we well into the SGT ranks if not the WO. That's a lot of income form just rank-up bonuses. And the Pass bought at 650 Cry works for a whole month even though the replacement cost keeps going up and up. So buying early is itself sort of a bargain.

i figure the cost is OK wher it is now, but, Tanki should halve it again just to make the change more acceptable.

In my playing rank (not this Forum writing rank) having bought the Pro-Pass to give it a try there are 4 battles with a total of 10 players spread between them.  I leave it to you to judge whether that's good.

For what it's worth, I have read the chat about whether the Pro-Pass costs too many crystals if the cost is reduced why have it anyway?  Why not go back to before it was introduced.  Quite frankly I don't see the point of it.  Can somebody explain to me in words of one syllable (because I must be a simpleton) what is the point of a Pro-Pass if all it has done is to prevent those that haven't got one be herded into playing games they wouldn't have as their first choice against others in the same position.  I seem to recall it was like when I was a teenager at dances (we didn't have clubs in those days) and it came near to the end it was time for "grab a granny" when we desperate for any female with a pulse rather than go home on our own.

The benefit - I think -  based on the past week or so.

> For most of the time you will be able to find a good game with an ample number of players.

> But for those missions or times the Basic games will not do, then you can "roll your own" on the PRO side of things.

> In either case low-syllable benefit is this: the chance of finding other players wanting to play the same type of game as you are better now,

That is the idea in my opinion. It is not enough yet. But from messages posted here the developers seem to be trying to improve dome shortfalls.

Then maybe switch from 30 days to hours of play, because it's not ideal to those who play few hours on the weekends as it is to those who play everyday.

So, instead of 30 days it could be 60 hours-of-play or 60 days whichever comes first. Just a thought.

Buy a few kits here and there, do your missions, and be careful how many supplies you use in battle. You shouldn't need to buy supplies.

I see EN1 that empty 98% of the time.

I see that too. Waste of resources, if you ask me. All the high ranks huddle on EN2 or hop on over to RU2 or RU3 for the Crystal rich battles. This is why the concept of a server and server selection needs to be hidden.

the took away the ability to create a game............. UNLESS YOU PAY WITH MONEY.........

they give you games to play in the daily quota............ but no way to play them

when they are not available...

for example they want you to play in forest but NO forest games available,

and no way to create one to get the daily #%^%&**((((

All they want is MONEY.............. ti is becoming a money game >>>>>>>>> no money no game>>>>>>

Kinda how a business works mate. Income means they game can continue running.... Yes, a few of these updates have been targeted at buyers, but there are other reasons behind them as well.

You do realise non-buyers can also create battles. There is this magical thing called the pro-pass that.... wait for it.... non-buyers can buy!!!

Looking at your ratings, you seem to earn quite a few crystals. You were 2.8k in the crystal earnings last week (http://i.imgur.com/wo6d4Ka.png) which is a pretty decent effort if you ask me. Also, you have already earned 2k in the last 40 minutes. If I was to use that as a base for your earnings, it would take you approximately 2 hours to be able to afford a pro-pass, which lasts a WHOLE MONTH!!!!! 31 days of creating all the battles you want for not even 2 hours of playing...

Please think before posting useless topics that will achieve nothing. Ranting in here will help no-one. There are plenty of official topics where your opinions will be seen.

Sorry, Tanki - but this is TOTAL horse crap.

I like certain maps and have always been able to create them with no problems.  Now I am forced to play whatever garbage map someone may have spun up.  Alternatively, I have the privilege of being forced to buy a pro-battle pass when I don't want to.

It is NOT what I paid for when I purchased crystals so I will probably pursue a refund based on fraud through my credit card company.  Can't believe you are forcing this on us.

I respectfully request that you change this incredibly greedy move back to the way it was. It is the ultimate in disregard for your customers preferences.  Screw you guys for treating paying customers like this.

I am totally stunned by this jack-ass maneuver by the folks running your organization.

People are seeing the negatives too much about the pro pass thing. I hated it at first too, then I noticed the price for me was dropped nearly 50%!! And it lasts a whole MONTH! I mean, if it's so hard to make back such a minimal amount of crystals, then those players have problems. 500 is a lot, though for low rankers who can't even chat yet, but still, a whole month of making custom battles! Every battle I make has supplies disabled and no bonus boxes (excluding golds of course) so I dont have to worry about mad druggers!

Ram kits are near impossible to kill on Noise....

Well, meanoldfart, who doesn't want money?

The recent updates have managed to get me to spend a grand total of... wait for it... zero dollars. I have spent 50 bucks on this game so far, and those times I had a double crystal card, and was buying equipment on 50% sales (I basically got 4x what I paid for). Think before you complain.

They last a MONTH, people! Why complain about a few crystals that can more than easily be made back within that time? 2,750 for me seems a lot at first, but imagine how many crystals you can get in a month! I got little over 130k in a month and a half that I saved up from hard playing to buy my Voltage kit!

Also, you can obviously make custom battles! A lot if you ask me for a few thousand crystals to buy something that lasts a month -_-

Plus, pro pass = anti drugger! Just uncheck bonus boxes and supplies!

Hate people with full MU equipment? uncheck the upgrades button!

Tired of the game stopping when it's unbalanced? Uncheck the timer button!

We are getting a lot out of this pro pass thing, but most people can only see the part of having to buy them -_-

Of course this kind of thing won't be free!
