Hello,

I have been active in this game for quite some time now which has provided certain characteristics such as the ability to create new battles, determining the range of ranks permitted to participate and also the number of participants in a game/

I have already paid $$$ to upgrade my tank, as it is quite impossible to get anywhere if you're only playing as a non - paying user, which is quite acceptable as many efforts and expertise are invested in creating and maintaining a game such as this one. To describe this game as a "free cost game" is only a strategy to draw people into the game and once they're hooked they'll pay to get upgrades. This is also OK because the game can only exist because of the paying participants.

What I criticize however is that you have changed the fundamental characteristics of the game, essentially creating a downgrade which is unacceptable. In order to retain the functionality of being able to create specific battles, with a set number of participants with a particular range of rank I now have to pay extra money. This is not an upgrade of the system, it's a downgrade and a considerable one.

It may be OK to introduce this to non - paying free users but I have already paid at least twice as much as what any top ranking playstation game out there costs, so to impose this downgrade on customers who have already paid an X amount of money to play the game in a certain given environment is unacceptable. 

It is quite OK to create new guidelines and conditions for new customers and they can choose whether to accept them or not but it is unethical to impose downgrades on existing paying customers. Admittedly I am anticipating my next higher rank which will enable me to upgrade my tank, and I will have to pay actual  $$$ to do so effectively but now I'm not so sure I'll even do that. Who knows what the next downgrade will bring? 

My message to you is: When you make a change in the game create an UPGRADE, not a downgrade!!!

This is the last straw with this game for me.   :o The constant revamping of turret properties was getting annoying enough... many of my accounts best turrets were nerfed.  

 

Now I cannot even create battles anymore.  This is ridiculous.  I don't give a damn what your statistics showed... it is totally unnecessary to take this feature away.  It was one of the most important features to me.  

 

Sick of this crap.  I'm out for good.

crystals might be in the game to be spent... but i think that they are supposed to be more than spending things. for example, if someone wants to get a m1,2, or 3, they have to have crystals. if they need crystals than they need to save. but if everything where they can actually get crystals is pro battle than there's no reason to get anything, much less play the game. i think people need to spend more time saving than spending. this update isn't doing that. if someone cant get crystals except from a pro battle, y waste crystals that they could use for other things?? if the tanki people did this so we would get more careful about spending money, than they need to realize that we know how to save.

 

we need crystals for more than just m1's and other things, and if we're smart we'll save! we don't need to bullied into saving our crystals to get a pro pass, just so we can join battles we need. if this took a long time to read srry but i think its really important that people create battles they want, not get forced to join other battles they don't.

 

 

This is simply nonsense.

 

The game give players though their efforts a respource called Crystals. Players decide how they allocate this resource. Some will find value in the PRO Pass. If so they will buy it.

 

Dor example I know for a simple fact I can make my Cry back form buying a Pro Pass. Why? Because with a Pro Pass I can find these massive Cry games. that is what the Pro Pass lets you do ... create and join high-payoff game modes.  

 

Duh. This is how games work.

Just played some more ... thnking aobut it there's no doubt I've been plating more lately.  Part of it is all three of my turrets were altered so I've been testing those.

 

But mostly it is because I always can find a decent battle at my rank on a variety of maps. These are 90% or more in the Basic section but that's where I found my games all the time! I don't care which section I can find a good game. I just want to find a good game.

 

At this point is time I have to say this change to the battle creation system has been a tremendous improvement.

Being able to create a battle of your choice was a key element to this game.  The stupid "Battle" button just puts you in some random battle... it does nothing at all for you unless you are incredibly lazy.  I like to choose my battles and create my battles for specific reasons or to play with friends.  This hobbles players' ability to make choices and takes away all their flexibility.  

 

Your answer to everyone is to just quit.

 

Well, you're going to get your wish.  Combined with a few other changes, this has sucked the fun and enjoyment out of this game.  I'd tell you that with all the other players this sort of downgrade is driving away, you'll end up just playing with yourself.  But you probably already are.

Just had white might be an epiphany or possibly a stroke.

 

Lately I have just been (compared to what I am used to) slaughtering the opposition on all my accounts. I generally do OK but this past week or so ... well it's not been routine. I don't think I've suddenly got better. I think maybe hundreds of tankers are used to just a few maps like Noise and Island. Now they are playing on maps they don't know. Maps which require different tactics.

 

Which in turn is leads a to players being annoyed with this change. 

 

I think the players base will adapt but it is just to early.  Players will learn how to do well on more maps. And Players will learn to buy the Pass if they want to find Poly CP 60 minutes again.

No, he is not. He is actually very intelligent and right on this matter. :)

 

This update prevents players like YOU from completing supply missions on empty maps, from just joining the winning team all the time because you only care about yourself.  If you want to play with friends join their battle manually. Do you realize you don't HAVE to use the battle button?

 

The biggest advantages are full battles and map diversity. Before there were all Noise, Polygon, and Rio. Now people can't create battles on those ridiculous maps anymore. Serves them right.

If you like to do those things ... this the PRO Pass lets you do ... then spend your Crystals to add to your enjoyment of the game. You cannot use those Crystals to buy a pizza. 

 

For instance I do not like using the Freeze turret. So I did not use my Cr to buy one!  But it do enjoy the game more when I use a Smoky turret instead. So guess what? Invested my Cr into something that helped me enjoy the game more. 

 

You are complaining because you refuse to invest your game resource in a way that will give you two benefits

 

1) It will add to your enjoyment of the game.

2) That investment will over the next 30 days re-pay you more Crystals that it costs.

 

But you refuse to do this. The explanation is, you are a poor player. In Tanki terms, you are a noob.

 

This stuff ain't hard.

Just an extra 2750 crystals?  EVERY MONTH.  Let's do the math then shall we?  If I want to play a few times every month for a year, it will cost me... Let's see now 2750 x 12... 33,000 crystals just to be able to make games I want to play in.  GREAT idea, thanks.

That is why I suggested a different type of PRO pass that expires with a certain number of in-game hours. I realize that for players who play a single battle per day, the PRO pass will cut down their crystal/xp ratio drastically and be basically unaffordable. :)

 

However, if you play only a single battle a day, then you fit into the "casual gamer" class and shouldn't be complaining that you can't create battles for 15 minutes a day.

If having to make one ore decision per month ruins the game for you then pfft .. go.  Tanki will know if they have done well or poorly depending on how players react. They play or they don't.

A smart player would see that they can make this back easily by playing in the exact sort of games that are in the PRO list.

I doubt that they will do that. They need a critical mass for the battle button.

if you play here 1 year, you earn about 1 Mio crystals, so 33 000 are 3.3% percent of your income.

You will not even get an M2 turret for that amount..

 

The only issues arise for the non-regular players, that join infrequently (or just 2..4 hours a week)

Who are you to say it's a central feature of the game?  It's not anymore.  Sure there are downsides (maybe you want to create a battle for friends or parkour) but that isn't what TO is mainly about. Those are special events that fit under a special category and it makes sense to buy a PRO pass for them.

 

Yes, there are reasons. Now, battles are more full and losing teams have more chance of catching up. Also, the Variety in maps is back. :)

When this update first came out I was very skeptical like you and opposed most of it. In light of the results now, I can say the decision to make this update was a good one. There are some bits that need tweaking (nobody's saying TO is perfect) but it is better than before the update.
