Changes in the battle creation system

I'm pretty sure that after the free PPs are gone, the battles will be back up to 65%.

So change your mission. You will not be "awarded" a second map mission, but another mission of a different category that is available to you.

I realise that there are ways round it but the point is that it is not going to be easy.

Maybe i don't want to change the mission because the reward is good, maybe i have always changed once to get a more appealing reward?

For this reason, the “Create Battle” button will now become a Premium/PRO Pass feature. Non-Premium and non-PRO Pass users will be able to join battles by clicking the “Battle” button, which will take them to a battle that best fits their rank.

 

 

After all those amazing 3 years (im not counting last 4) with tanki and after all those premium ranks, pay2win and pay4play tactics i finnally want to say

Simple question...is there anything stopping guys from befriending or just being polite to premium pass owners around their rank and asking them to create specific non-PRO standard battles for them?...thereby bypassing the cost of having to buy a PRO pass.

I don't think that anyone can create a non-PRO. Only the server does that...

that button will take u to a battle but its not the battles were looking for ...

 

for example

 

i have a mission for 250 exp in dm

you hit the button and it takes you to

 

a flag battle .. when you go into it what do you see a bunch of players leaving due to that is not the battle they want also ..

 

so this button thing has and now caused issues in battles..see players are thinking great we got a full team but then nearly all have left .. so what goes on then you can't even battle ..also say you have a battle with 23 seconds left on the timer.. due to lack of players on one side of the team .. then players are send to that game then like i already said most are leaving so timer has to start the count down all over again and this continues to go threw out the full 30 min battles leaving the ones who want to play can't due to lack of players ...

BTW, no need for the early or mid-ranks to thank the high ranks for paying the larger slice of the PRO pass tax...just another nice little bonus for the newer players...you're welcome.

  • better mission rewards

  • mission chains

  • higher battle funds whether u win/lose...and the increased fund for low ranks update.

  • better variety of kits with big discounts

  • smart cool-down standard battles that prevent re-spawn 234 druggers overrunning and taking your battle rewards(as easily).

  • Early battle termination. Which allows you to collect rewards and move on from victory/defeat and join another battle...makes gathering crystals quicker as you don't have to stick around for ages while you could be earning elsewhere.

  • Crystals added to the fund, rather than the “crystal box drops” we used to have...which rewarded the mults and not the triers.

  • Full rewards from ranking-up when they hit Legend rank. And not losing out on 10's or 100's of thousands like a lot of current Legends have.

  • Ability to obtain a completely free PRO pass with the planned clan system(i think)

  • Clan system that gives crystal and supplies bonuses(I think).

  • Looks like this PRO pass update will increase the volume of no-supply or non-MU battles. More variety of PRO battles that are far cheaper to be competitive in at a lower rank....wish I had this option in the mid-ranks.

 

 

You forgot a MAJOR update -

 

50 steps of MU's being revoked. Players who upgraded any one equipment parameter to full were awarded a completely upgraded M4 (or whatever the next level was) when the update hit. These tankers were the luckiest ever.

They were indeed....worst thing about that update was that I didn't benefit much from it. :(  I'll add that to my other “advantages that other people got, that I didn't” list ;) ....mind you, this update should make it easier to find PRO-battles on preferred maps with MU-disabled...so I guess this update might reduce the need for heavily upgraded equipment.

Yes. I'm particularly interested in seeing if the Go-Pro club picks up pace again.

actually it is harder to find a good pro battle at the moment.

Everyone that wants to play "his favorite map" and to do that they have to create a pro battle now.

Today I saw:

~50% real pro (will drop after pro passes are not give for free)

~40% "fake pro" - ordinary battles where players just wanted to pick the map they play

~10% Battle-Button battles (will increase after pro passes will cost crystals again)

 

Funny thing is, that those players that like to play their map with normal settings (drugs, 15min, ...) would love to see that the guys that press the battle-button join in and fight with them. the battles would fill up faster.

But it's not possible, as those manual created battles are PRO by definition - and the battle button does not send you there, by definition.

 

design flaw. Well whatever.. can happen. I hope they fix it.

Will somebody give me an overview of everyone's opinion from the last 4 pages? I missed them when I went to bed...

 

I've changed my view on this update. I realize that PRO passes aren't such a need, since the BATTLE! button has been improved. I've had it create a nice map before, and it filled up very quickly. The update isn't so bad, now that I think about it... thanks to beaku for changing my view. 

It's hard to say - because EVERYONE over next 7 days will be Pro Pass.

After the 7 days is up I'm not sure the "demographics" will be the same.

 

It's a bit misleading at the moment.

Problem is this happens way too often in Tanki's recent history. Updates are poorly thought through and flawed from the get-go. I think this started more or less at the time of introducing early battle termination. Now it works, but anybody remember that disaster back then? First version totally unusable, with super-annoying siren going off all the time LMAO..Now that's more or less the standard quality of updates the players have to deal with..

So there are plenty of people in the game who have no idea what just happened. Server chat today is borderline hysterical-depressing to read. I feel bad for them and moreover for the entire player community.

 

I'm not done with the game but I'm definitely getting pretty jaded by the "today we sell bread, today you buy bread" approach the management of this game takes toward its players/customers. I'm sure I'll deal with it and keep playing. Because...

 

This is a very thrilling game. It can be tremendous fun when you win and maddeningly frustrating when you lose. Since there are always upgrades available, the designers have done a fantastic job of leading us sheep to believe that if we just pump a little or a lot more real money into the game, we'll win more than we will lose.

 

Don't believe it.

 

I've dropped nearly a grand in USD into this game. I've bought a full garage and sunk a mint into MUs. In response the management has chosen to nerf the equipment I paid for and now with the shift to Pro wil make M4s meaningless since MUs will be off for most battles.

 

I've seen years of players building up their perfect rig only to have an unannounced update waste that investment. Myself included (RIP Viking M4). What continues to confound me is that management doesn't understand that players don't like this. We don't like having what we have worked hard and/or paid for taken away or made ineffective.

 

To the game managers and designers- please continue making the game more complex and interesting for players who advance through the ranks. Please STOP removing features, reducing equipment stats, and changing free features to paid ones.

Remember how long it took them to fix kits after the paint disintegration? "Poorly thought through" in evidence.

LOL now Pro battles will be the only ones with mults and saboteurs. Counterintuitive much???

This just isn't fair....High ranks have paid thousands and thousands for PRO passes over the months and years...now we have to carry on paying 5k while the early ranks get cheap passes, should be the other way around..#Disgusted.

It's funny though, that new players are making far less than we did "players who started" on or before  update 123, costs were a fraction of what they are now even with the missions, chains, and rank bonuses.

Granted it has given all players a bit of the fund, and not only the strongest, losing a battle back then you received nothing if your team didn't get on the board, but at the same time the total fund stayed the same and only got redistributed so no one now earns enough to compete in this far more complex and demanding environment that has evolved over the last few yrs.

So presumably it would be better if there was a way to define whether or not we want the battle button to find us a standard or PRO battle...preferably with other filters as well.

 

Can't work out why the standard battle creation would be so random though...seems a bizarre idea.

You can understand it if you think it from the other way:

Let's think for 8 players:

  • if you let the system choose the map, then the first one clickin the battle button creates the map automatically. All subsequent ones get shifted to his battle - no matter if they like the map or not. So Battles fill up fast, players can play.
  • If you let the players decide, you have the problem that 8 players clicking the button like to play 4 different maps. You end up with 2 players par map. So they leave, and seek a manual battle.

 

Conclusion:

The system of "chooseable maps" can only work if a "vast majority of players are using the battle button".

Up to then, you can not give them a map choice.

 

And how to make them use the battle button? Well guess what we life through now, and especially in 6 days from now.

Funny thing is, there would be a much more customer friendly way:

 

- fund for battle-button-battles grow 10% faster for 2 weeks

 

this will solve a lot in order to reach a critical mass; and cost about nothing.

Players cannot create non-PRO battles. Every player created battle is per definition a PRO battle, even if the characteristics of the PRO battle are the same as the non-PRO battles.

You can disable game modes in the battle filter underneath the battle list. If you've only enabled DM for example, the 'Battle' button will only send you to a DM battle (or create a DM batte).

 

Okay, thanks....I was thinking standard battle creation was now a premium pass option. In that case there may be loads of guys hitting the create battle button until it picks them a brand new battle in a map that isn't currently available in lobby, in order to complete missions or play with friends...if they don't want to buy a PRO pass.

 

Clicking the 'Battle' button does not create a new battle if there are still non-PRO battles available from the battle list. In that case, pressing the button will only send the player into one of the existing battles.

 

Can we press 'Battle' button, and we get to a PRO battle? What if we have Pro Pass or Premium, still, can that work?

Currently, it will only send players to a non-PRO battle. I hope that will change in the future.
