Please remove paints from kits

Recommended Posts

I purchased four kits by now (firefly, mosquito, medic and touche) and since the paint-protection-seperation update my ingame time with the included paints is zero hours.

To include paints in kits makes no sense (except to increase the kits prices...)

Please remove the paints from the kits.

edit:

Sure some discounts will adapt. Paladin has -70%.. if you remove the paint and keep -70% the kit costs less then 200k, which is way too cheap. But if the discount is adapted, it can be balanced and makes sense.

Paladin is OP and is cheap enough as it is. Too cheap, to be honest, being the 2nd cheapest M3 kit. This price is nearly 10% off the current cost, making it more like 80% off, which is too much of a steal. Plus, M3 kits are easily affordable by even free players, so buyers shouldn't be complaining about the prices.

Paladin, without the kit discount, costs more than a million crystals. 330k is already a HUGE drop in price. Me thinks players are greedy :3

The whole paints thing is a mess.

A week ago I was a WO5 and was considering spending $10 on the Viking M1 kit + Sakura paint, along with $16 on the Stinger M2 kit.

I didn't like the Fracture paint that came with the Stinger, but was prepared to spend $10 for the Viking and get the Sakura to use on the Stinger kit.

Two days ago I went up to 3rd Lieutenant, and now the Viking kit is no longer available to me, so I can only get the Sakura paint if I pay 180,000 crystals in the garage - which is going to cost a lot more than $10.

So they've lost a sale on the Viking M1 I was going to buy.

Paints can make a sale, but removing them can also LOSE you a sale.

This needs to be re-examined and implemented.

It's been "under review" for more then a year now.

Paints are useless in kits and should be removed.

When they removed the sales deals applying to kits they should have also removed the paints.

Please do. Paints only serve for aesthetics, and they push any kit out of my crystal range. The paints are way too expensive. I have not brought a single kit and I won't until paints are removed from kits

Ye sure about it boss? I still see modules in kits.

Are you seeing them in-game? Could you provide a screenshot?

I asked a bunch of other people and they said it's turret+hull only. Perhaps you got confused because the wiki page uses protection symbols to represent turrets?

Nope, @Stratosphere confirmed that kits do in fact still include the respective modules to go with the kit.

It is easy to confirm: open one of them in the mobile version you will see the content and it is: hull + turret + protection (against the same turret).

Also applies to HTML5 as well.

Surprised why @Maf hasn't closed this thread yet.

We don't lock completed threads. They get archived once they become inactive.

Also I realise my post isn't entirely correct since I didn't know kits still have modules.

Most of it is explained in here, but there's a bunch more details and specifics. Be glad you don't have to memorise a 3000-word I&S moderation guide that I made for I&S curators. ?

Thanks for the A2A.

...is it wrong that I now want to memorize the moderation guide?
