What has happened to TO?

They still get paid.

It's not so much of a payment than a compensation for the time we spend doing moderation when we could be playing and enjoying ourselves.

And yet at any given time theres a 50/50 chance of a chat moderator being online, let alone willing to help you. Most of them just sit and ban anyone that so much as looks like theyre going to break the rules, and never help anyone.

Not true. The whole moderation policy is based around educating rather than banning. If players ask genuine questions and a chat mod is present, he'll surely answer. They tend to stay silent most of the times as players bombard them with useless comments and questions as soon as they see them in chat. That not only takes up their time but also leaves genuine questions unanswered. So yeah, they have to balance it.

Educating? You are saying educating? What a joke ! Look at those players, blocking teammates, keep pushing teammates, keep shooting their twins to teammates, never captured a point in CP match,... you name it. When you tell them don't do it, they say "non of your business", "I know how to play". You say they are educated? Ha Ha ! You Tanki never educated nobody because you don't care the players attitude. What you only care is their money. The whole policy is based on how much money you can squeeze from those kids !

Don't like what I am saying? Ban me !

I don't get it. How does that relate to what I said?... I'm saying Moderators try to educate and inform players rather than ban them. Exactly what I'm doing here. I know there are some arrogant and annoying players who don't play properly but being an annoying character isn't 'bannable'.

Beaku

Just one time I want to be there when a so called "battle mod" removes a player (mult, cheater, whatever) from the game.

I have been here a long time and played lots of games and I have never seen it.

Just one time I would like to see a chat or forum mod at least say something to a mult in a game they are playing.

I have never seen that either. They put out a report on battle mods of how many they banned and how many they caught cheating, etc

Why have I never seen that happen once?

To be honest, I haven't seen that either. Ever. But just because we can't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. There aren't enough battle mods but they're putting in maximum effort, even if it's not enough for the whole game.

As for the second issue, I don't have any authority outside forum. Chat mods don't have authority outside chat. We cannot intimidate players by saying, "Play mult noob or I'll ban you!". That's abuse of our power, technically and we can't do that.

You could say you need to play or maybe call a battle mod?

Even if I do, it's as good as any other player saying it. And from what I know about mults and cheaters, they don't care about what other players want.

Intimidation no, but I can say 'mult get out' or 'stop multing and start playing' as much as I like. If only they would listen..

I have asked moderators that do this many genuine questions and they have never answered, if they stay silent and avoid questions just so they arent bombarded with text why even defend the idea at all?

I used to like TO, now I just use it time to time instead of often, I already found a better game just in case if TO goes from its current number of players to about 100 players, tbh I don't know why devs are making all of these updates, they say its because " there were a lot of request" and stuff like that, but then within the last year 50-100k players quit tanki, I almost did too, but I still played because tanki isn't 100% bad yet. But now I think tanki is going to be filled with the lucky kids who get giftcards at like 15, because now gift cards cant be used, and that as the only thing I can use to buy, I also think the rebalance as messed up, they practically nerfed some stuff, and only made shaft, twins, thunder, and hammer better. I also dont think its unfair, I have a friend allseeingeye_tanki , all his m2's were good, but then the rebalance practically turned his account into trash, it's like having only m1's at major, think of m1's vs. drugging m4's that's really annoying, tanki should at least refund people who's turrets/hulls turned into trash and they don't have any OK or good m2's

I think "Tanki is dying" is the battle cry of noobs -- the logic being that if Tanki is about to die, who cares if they just got 7-0'd in that 1v1? :D

Except the amount of players at any given time has dropped drastically in the last 2 years...

I actually never understood why players use that argument. Like, why? What's the point? If Tanki's losing players, they can notice it too! Why would they continue with the alleged 'self destructive updates' if it's hurting their income? Let there be 200k players or 2k players, it's pointless to use that argument. They have a dedicated analytics team. Their whole job is to watch numbers.

But they had a sale the other day isn't that clear evidence all they want is money?? sarcasm

Theyre losing players, this means the game is slowly dying. You can say whatever you want but if theres 2k players compared to 130k in early 2015 its safe to say the game is dead.

Even if that is true, so what?.. How can we use that as an argument against some arbitrary update?

They know the game is dying and theres nothing they can do about it, so they try to make as much money as they can before everyone leaves.

Sounds like a well thought out, beneficial in long term business strategy, doesn't it? On a serious note, Tanki isn't at that stage yet where devs just suck the last cents however they can and shut the game down. Many updates are planned for future and that would not be the case if they were planning to shutting it down anytime soon.

Hm yes, that would explain why they're building this epic new clan system, continually working on game balance, developing two new turrets...

Theyre trying to keep everyones attention while they suck money out of them.

That's not profitable. At all. They'll lose more money in developing 'fake updates' than they'll earn.

Epic new clan system that costs real money to make, game balance that constantly makes one turret OP and another useless and two new turrets that wont be coming out any time soon.

Hi fellow tank-men

I am here to propose an idea about a new tanki online.

No, its not tanki x but a better version of this one.

WITHOUT pro passes

WITHOUT buying paints and kits from the shop

This new tanki could bring back the old days

The days where we could create battles

The days where it wasn't 'pay to win' but 'free to play'

If we could ultimately copy and rebuild tanki

We could make this game great again

With the help from everyone

We could develop the next best Tanki!!

So my fellow tankers

Are we gonna watch this game die?

Or a we going to save it from dying!

Thanks

#savetanki
