Spectator: set coordinates manually

Recommended Posts

In spectator mode it's possible to set points that the spec can move exactly to them with just one button click, but what if the spectator wants to come back to the exact position later, like a few days later or just after leaving the battle and coming back? There is no way to do it right now, but it would allow doing some cool things in videos. For example, when trying to make a transition between day and night map, could use the fade effect and record from same position in both battles so it'll look in the video like they day just smoothly turned into night without the spectator moving at all. Another cool use could be in parkour videos - the spectator could stand in the position where the first trick starts, then the tanks will fade in in the video and will do their trick, then they will fade out and the spectator will move to the next position. Will create an effect of just travelling in the map with tanks appearing and disappearing. If the spectator can write down the positions of start and end of every trick, he can later return to the map and record the transitions of moving from one trick's end position to the next trick's start position, after he decided in what order they will be shown in the video.

What I suggest is making a chat command for it like /setPoint [X] [Y] [Z] [H] [V]

X, Y, Z stand for coordinates. H, V stand for horizontal and vertical camera rotation.

Valid

[imprv] [ctrl]

This is a very specific suggestion. I'm not sure if developers even plan on making any changes to TO spectator mode, but we'll see.
