Extreme lag

It seems the lag has gotten worse since the introduction of the game client. I've asked before if there is a difference between those using the client and those who aren't, thinking this might be the lag problem. But so far, I haven't gotten a straight answer.

 

I've been "ghosting" a lot after respawning. This hasn't happened in a very long time, not until the game client.

 

Being booted out of the game with no error message has started recently.

 

Rubberbanding has become common place.

 

Turrets going around in circles was a big problem at one time. Now it's back.

 

I've seen rubberbanding and lag happen at the same time. That was interesting. I was respawning and saw an enemy tank pass by me. I went after him, shooting and doing damage. He disappeared. Immediately, I noticed I was being attacked from behind. I turned and there was the same player shooting at me. I was taking damage. I shot back but I wasn't doing damage. Then he went by me like a race car and ended up way ahead of me in the middle of a bridge. I didn't die, though I was very low on health, nor did I see him die.

 

A team mate was respawning and started going through me. When he finished respawning, he was on top of me and immediately exploded, though I wasn't under attack and the enemy was busy on the other side of the map. The team mate respawned again way in front of me. The same has happened to me, on occasion, so I try not to go through other players while respawning.

 

I think TO should be put in Guinness Book of World Records as having the weirdest game physics. Then, on "eHow" as "How to ruin a good game in a short span of time and make players think it's for their own benefit."

it's only been reported in the main topic and needs it's own topic.

It doesn't need it's own topic. The developers are aware of the issue and it has been reported both by players and by the forum mods many times. According to , they haven't been able to find out what causes that glitch yet.

Ok sorry about that, thanks for the response. :) It's nice to know they are aware of it and working on it.

Tanki online doesn't have the intention of cheating players out of crystals. I'm sympathetic to your loss of crystals and waste of time, and it's not your fault for sure, but you should not play long battles if you are concerned about this. Play shorter, safer battles for a while, so you get crystal payouts more often.

I've observed more lag incidents since the Battle button update. I think that more games being fully populated may have something to do with it. Effect and tank motions have to be transmitted to all users in higher volume on more crowded or larger maps. I do not notice the issue much on smaller maps, and my usual play time is during a relatively low bandwidth usage window in the Eastern US.
