You were exactly whom I had in mind when I posted.  :P

 

Me, I cannot get the hang of freeze.

 

I see all 11 turrets and all 7 hulls in battle. I see battles where the long range guys tie down the attack lanes. When a tough defensive knot needs fires and freezes to bust them open. And with so many maps there's bound to be battles tailored for your style. The actual in game balance is far betrter than I've seen in other games.

If you find a turret ot hull to be garbage that really means that item does not fit your play style.

 

I have encountered players who know how to use every item in the garage. For all the variety Tanki has balannced the basic hulls and turrets pretty well.

I agree with you today. All turrets seem pretty equal right now with a lot depending on which maps you play.

 

The rub is that Tanki has only recently gotten to a decent balance. I've been playing since 2014 and seen wild variance in turret OP/UP. Thunder, Freeze, Isida, Shaft, Firebird, and Vulcan all come to mind as turrets which have had their day in the sun followed by periods of total obscurity.

I agree with you today. All turrets seem pretty equal right now with a lot depending on which maps you play.

inbalanced for me:

 

Isida

It got more damage, yes this helps.. but actually it needs more selfheal and not so necessarily the damage. Isidas are target#1 in teambattles, so selfheal is the only chance to sustain as attack support on larger maps.

Most likely this will come by a alternation - but I would preffer it the other way around:

have a selfhealing Isida that can take care of itself a little batter but has "not so good" attack.. and give an alternation for ISidas where it sacrifices selfheal and gets more damage.

 

Firebird

Off stock fire -vs- fire M2 alternation is not balanced at all. The normal fire is too weak.. you could hand out more damage to off-stock fire / and cut reload/sec + increase energyconsumption for the M2 alternation.

 

other turrets look more/less ok to me

 

Light hulls

As their speed and agility was cut, they are sooooo inbalanced in mixed mode battles now.

Again.. why was this done? -.-

This took out so much fun of the game..

 

(hunter viking swap 2nd time in 18 months.. grmlsmlgrbksnbeksb,....)

I'd like to see you using Freeze, though as opposed to your NoobSmoke M2.. :lol: It would be quite a sight, instead 

I have hardly used it just gave up on it early. Then when the Big Update hit I bought a m0 Freeze with my test-stuff-out account. But by then that accounts was of a rank where m0 gear was pretty lame. So I didn't use it much then either.

 

Sooo it'll have to wait to some day when I am awash in Cr and looking to spend them on something. :)

No. Vulcan needs a buff. Rico too, I rarely find them in any battle.

Because Ricochet M1 and M2 (what you face) aren't that powerful. I wouldn't mind Rico getting a tiny buff, but it's not that under-powered.  All that Vulcan needs is a longer time to fire before overheating, and then it's fine. 

 

But Firebird needs the biggest buff. Without effective any afterburn, it has NO advantage over Twins or Freeze. Freeze has the freezing (admittedly weak too, but). Twins has impact force, range, no reload, etc.  It would have been not-so-bad even if the penetration was still there.....but.....

I think Rico M3-M4 need a serious buff to reload speed. At high rank when your clip is empty you are TOAST.

 

I wouldn't argue against a bit of a damage buff too. Last two modifications to damage were both nerfs so it's definitely not that common a turret now.

 

Which means there aren't many protection modules for it. Use DD and you are a god - until your clip runs out, then you are of course toast.

Well if you use Rico in situations where you are going to need more than a full charge, you should probably switch to/use Twins or Smoky.

Problem is that Twins and Smoky have many more Protection modules out there than Rico. I'd rather use Rico and do more damage with less lost to enemy defenses, even if I die more often.

 

^RETRACTION - Today's gameplay has proven me wrong. I did a lot of Pro pass Poly CP and found that there was more Rico protection than Smoky. So Smoky it is.

eh..Well, in Poly CP Rico prot. would make more sense. However, overall I see much more Smoky prot. at the high ranks. 

 

P.S. If everyone thought like you, it would go:

 

People sense Rico is the weakest turret.

Nobody buys rico prot.

Everyone notices no rico prot. and buy rico.

Everyone notices a lot of Ricochets.

Everyone buys rico prot. 

 

And on and on..:P

Wait. I'm not happy about this... Map missions have been removed...  :huh:

i think the map missions were great. the fact that their removing also makes me kind of mad, sad, and confused, all at the same time. y take out these maps??? :huh:

Happy with Smoky update.

 

Happy with no map missions!  Oddly enough have not seen any supply-drop missions for about a week.

how can u be happy with no map missions?????? :o i loved the map missions and i am sad to see them go. however, i think i saw a post that someone got a map missions the other day. not sure how thats possible..... :huh:

Because it's much harder to find a map that I need for a mission than it is to 1) find supply drops or 2) find a Battle Type or 3) Get kills or 4) get experience in battles.

 

I could create a battle with the map... but if no one is interested in that map at that time I'm waiting a loooooong time.
