Real Life Ghost / Paranormal Experience...

I've heard that when a human body is cremated(ceremonial process of burning to ashes after demise), it *rises* up and bends/distorts in the flames - at a quick glance it would look like they were alive again and coming up out of the fire. Wouldn't be surprised if anyone who happened to see it and did not understand it, went absolutely bonkers.

sid262 wanted to hear more of my experiences, so here's another:

I came home from a Doctor's appointment and saw my Mom shaking and crying. I asked her what the problem was. She said, "Your Dad was here,"

My Dad smoked a pipe. His favorite brand of tobacco was Cherry Blend, which has a very distinctive smell. She said that she smelled my Dad's pipe and it lingered for several minutes. I believed her, but had some reservations since she was still in mourning.

About a week later, I was driving in a nearby city, sitting at a red light in the right turn lane. Suddenly, I smelled my Dad's pipe, too. I looked around at the vehicles around me to see if someone was smoking and maybe the wind carried the smell. No one was smoking, not in front, side, corner, nor back. The smell lingered until the light turn green.

I told my Mom about it. She said, "Your Dad was looking out for you, as he always did."

I have a few other experiences that doesn't include my Dad.

Never seen one so can't really believe in it. When my father was my age, he went to graveyards regularly and spent nights there hoping to see a ghost someday which he never did.

He's tried his best looking for ghosts and he's never been able to see one so he doesn't believe in them.

I personally had hoped ghosts existed hoping that I could see some people again but I've never seen one yet.

And he never would. Cemetaries are lonely places where few living visit. Spirits like to visit the living, as they did when alive. They do not hang out, but move around to visit those who were important to them.

Yes, there are hauntings of places, but these are known as "Earth Bound" spirits. They haven't moved on for various reasons. One well known is because they died tragically and haven't realized they are dead. That's why some Mediums will visit a place to give the spirit permission to leave this world. I'm not talking about Exorcisms, here. That's a different situation altogether.

You're not alone, I have experienced this. My nan had always baked bread pudding with spices and she died about 2 years ago. In my kitchen, there were times I could smell her and her bread pudding. It was difficult for me to find an explanation for that.

Then my friends were hosting a party with a clairvoyant so I went, she said I've felt cold spots in my kitchen and I said yes. She explained it was my Nan.

How did she know this? I haven't told her.

I don't believe in ghosts. However, I do believe in demons but prefer not to get involved with such things.

Same here my friend. I believe in demonic forces but not in "ghosts" and "spirits" and "karma" other cheap supernatural stuff. Sorry if I offended anyone. :)

My Aunt bought the house her parents (my Grandparents) lived and died in. Sometimes, around 8:00 pm, you can hear cards shuffling and people talking very low. I was never able to make out what they were saying. My Grandmother loved to cook so all the big Holidays were spent at their house. Afterwards, the women would go in the living room and play cards, while the men went in the basement to smoke cigars. The children were "scooted" into the breakfast room were the toy box was.

Off of the main bedroom was the Nursery. It's a very small room. Sometimes you could hear a baby crying in there. We think it was the one that died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

I spent one summer with my Grandparents. While there, I came down with the mumps and was quarantined in the nursery. Many times I heard people talking, but couldn't make out what was being said. I know the talking was in the room, not outside. I told my Grandmother about the voices. She shrugged it off, saying, "You have always had quite an imagination."

After my Aunt passed away, spirit activity has increased.

Sometimes, when in the basement, you can hear footsteps in the kitchen above. I've heard them and so have others. We have come to the conclusion that it's probably my Grandmother, since she spent most of her time cooking and baking.
