I believe in afterlife because I've witnessed a ghost in my room. My home was built on the land of what used to be a hospital. My ghost was kind, she opened the door for me and tried to speak to me. She was wearing a Victorian style dress. And that's it.

I have more reasons to believe there is something out there.

No one believes it until they experience it.. And then no one believes them...

Until they experience it. And then by that time the first person has undergone counseling and therapy and doesn't believe their own memories.

Not really. You don't always go for counselling. I've had two paranormal experiences which I know no one will believe. I just shrug it off and accept the fact that there are things we don't know about yet...

Never seen one before, but I've certainly felt *something* off before in certain places. I'm sure science will just explain it off as electromagnetic fields or whatever conspiracy theories are cooking at the time, but sometimes, you just need to quit explaining and just observe.

I believe in *energies*, I've *sensed* them. I also believe the human mind is capable of tricking itself.

For example - I've had sleep paralysis where I know I'm asleep, but I'm wide awake and perceive everything around me, but I can't move or twitch a muscle. There's a rushing sound in the ears. I've felt myself *floating* above my body. If that isn't creepy enough, I don't know what is. I've woken up gasping on high alert and terrified of going back to sleep. Eventually though, I read up on it and figured out that only happens when my brain has been in over drive for too long. It's the body's way of telling you to slow down coz it can't catch up. If any of you have had this experience, I suggest you first understand that there is nothing to be afraid of. When it hits, the first thing to recollect is this understanding. Then start to relax and count to ten... worked for me.

I believe in the paranormal, because of personal past experiences. I have no photos, though, so you will just have to take my word for it.

We have a mantle clock that was my Grandparents 1st wedding anniversary present. My Grandparents got married in 1920. In 1976, I got that old clock out of their basement and they gave it to me, saying it hasn't worked in many years. I brought it home and my Dad wound it up. Much to our surprise, it worked and kept good time. It had a Westminster chime at the top of the hour and played part of the chime every 15 minutes. About two years later, it stopped working, even though my Dad wound it every day.

My Dad took it to an antique clock repairer. He said that there was no way that clock could work. The gears were hand carved out of wood and the gears were too worn. Some didn't even meet. We kept the clock and moved it from the fireplace mantle in the living room to the top of the china cabinet in the dining room, next to my bedroom.

My Dad passed away in 1990, never to have heard that clock again. About a year after his passing, the clock chimed, even though it wasn't on the quarter hour. After it chimed, it would "tick" for about 10 minutes, then stop. This happened twice a week for about 6 months, then once a week for about 6 months, then nothing.  It hasn't ticked nor chimed since. It still sits on the china cabinet.

I have had other paranormal activity experiences of my own, my Mom and my Brother.

I have had some unexplained activity with the hot water faucet in the bathroom, just this year.

My Mom and Brother have seen apparitions..

I've experienced it.

I was in 2nd grade. I used to live in a "haunted" apartment.

Yeah, I was once taking a nice rest in the restroom and letting feces escape, when all of a sudden the door slammed open and a voice yelled, "AHH! THIS SMELLS SO BAD!!!". I couldn't see anybody, and the voice was coming from in front of me.

One of my good friends had a grandmother who passed away a few years ago, and a mom that died when she was a young child...She says that a few days after her grandmother's death, she was still crying in her room, when she heard laughter outside her window. She opened the curtains and there on the roof, were her grandmother and mother talking and laughing. They waved at her, and then disappeared.

This good friend of mine is perfectly mentally stable and has a sound and logical mind in every way. She is a totally normal person and not superstitious. She has good memory and does not make things like this up.

Okay, it was probably her own brain acting up because of her grief, or maybe another psychological explanation...(I am not a superstitious person) but there is the story.

Never seen one so can't really believe in it. When my father was my age, he went to graveyards regularly and spent nights there hoping to see a ghost someday which he never did.

He's tried his best looking for ghosts and he's never been able to see one so he doesn't believe in them.

I personally had hoped ghosts existed hoping that I could see some people again but I've never seen one yet.
