Question: Can anyone make out the comment around 4:10 about why or who would want to turn on friendly damage? I listed several times and could not tell what he was saying.

It was removed quite some time ago.. and I did not see anyone complaining or missing it. Must have been one of the least used features back then (it waaas funny :)  but obviously many players had their "issues" with this increased difficulties ;) )

thunder is useless without splash damage, so is freeze without freezing effect

Soon Firebird will have damaged removed but will peel the paint off an enemy tank.

Another Smoky alteration that sounds like something to buy when you have nothing left to buy with your Cr. Taken together with the Thunder alterations we have Thunky. The alterations turn one into the other. 

 

Give a cee-gar to those (not me) who predicted Isida self-heal was reduced so that it may be given back via an alteration. It will be very interesting to see the numbers on this alteration.

 

AS for the Pro setting with w/o alterations ... that will further segment the Pro section. The problem with Pro battles is finding players. Tanki should at least consider the possibility there are too many settable parameters ...especially super=long games.. Perhaps eliminate some now and return them with the Clan system?

What are Isida & Smoky alterations?

^Willie's post mentions the isida/smoky. Isida alteration should allow people who want to play DM's be able to I guess. The self heal will be improved. Smoky deals more damage for less reload (no way, IMO). It's reload and TTK is already struggling against weapons with faster output.

as expected,

 

railgun will be back to 133-199 damage, and same old 6 sec reload. but at cost of 100k

 

while the upper angle vs turn speed, I prefer same turn speed, as it takes time to get used to new turning speed.

since last change making all hull same spec for same weight level,

 

I am expecting after sale of gun alternation, hull alternation will coming in the way,

 

making hull back to old status,

  * like 210 or maybe more for hornet health, but hornet will drifting more like before.

  * viking health back to old ones, and speed slow down, + no drifting of viking and slow turning speed like that.

 

People will will always priority Damage and Health for gun and hulls, that is called SELLING Power. just like microupgrades.

(like old days, people mainly and only microupgrade Damage and Health, but now you have to micrograde all parameter at same time, cost more and take more time)

 

since they know people like me with 1 M4 combo  will always keeping using just 1 combo, as it is hard and take 1 year to get another m4.

 

so they start selling Damage and Health back to those 1 M4 combo users, that way, they can still making people like me to buy something.

as I already have a set of M4 paints covering all guns.

also note:

  * if freeze can keep enemy faster, then why you need freezing effect, damage is the key

  * if hammer have 5 clips, they can pretty much kill any hull on double damage, who need reload when enemy are all dead, damage is the key

  * thunder, while, for drugger, they always running with health pack, so self damage never a matter to them, but now, losing nothing but gaining more damage, WOW, double already can 1 shot on drug killing hornet at same level, and now more damage.

  * no comment on other gun alternation.

 

and I am still wondering what will be the Last Alternation, and we may expecting more than 4 alternations for a gun, since the video show the new 3rd alternation on rail is current holding the "Shell Stabilization" alternation.

best Alternation is more suitable to Druggers.

 

 

 

 

Alternation is balanced in normal battle when people use fair drugs.

 

But once in over-drugging situation, who can output more damage faster wins.

 

the stock modification can never win higher damage output alternation 1vs1 when damage and health is ON, especially for drugging turret like Hammer, Thunder, Fire, Freeze.

Right now Firebird is Freeze without the Freeze effect.

The Freeze alteration is like taking away the afterburn in exchange for increase in damage. Oh jeez, I wonder if they plan to do that to Firebird....

They already did that. The alteration is called "standard settings". :D

I remember the fun of the game where a sale was for everyone, and everyone could get the same stuff, irrespective of whether you are a buyer or not... ohhhh how those days are now gone!

well there was a number of players who would fully agree with you on this.. did we not use our crystals balls to  see into the future ...lol

 

 

well back on Sept 23 2016 we did say this was there plans all along and its so unfair for us as players who all ready paid for those upgrades to have them removed and now we have to pay for them all over again.. like what is wrong with this ?? i wonder ?? ... for players who do tanki X alterations are called skins over there .. so give it time ..we will be one as time rolls on ....

 

sorry but i'm here to stay...

Actually not.

Alternation are ment to offer another gameplay, and they are not ment to make your turret stronger.

They - should be - efficiency-neutral,

 

If you felt they make it stronger, then you just see, that their alternation balance needs some more tweeks (those are rather new, it's hard. It will take a while).

Not necessarily OP, but much more complex. You can have all the alterations of one turret equipped at the same time. This gives you the opportunity to optimize your personal weapon usage. Officially it is said, that alterations are equal to the standard turret. But making the weapon better fitting to you, makes it stronger for you. On the other side some alterations are inherently better than the standard in most of the maps (like Firebirds M2 alt. and Twins M1 alt.). You must agree, that if you invest into your turret, then you want to get a better result in crystal income, too. But consider that others optimize their turrets as well, so if everybody is super, noone will be.

I am curious which alteration will offer strong combos tho, but probably there will be a lot of them because they are very dependent on the specific conditions how and when they are used.

 

Some questions on the alterations:

  1. They announced 2 alterations for Rail in the VLOG (1 as M1 and 1 as M2 icon). Does this mean that the current M2 Rail alteration will be replaced?
  2. May we know the disadvantage of the Vulcan M2 alteration?
  3. Will the longer reload time for the new Hammer alteration only have an effect on longer clip reload or also on the reload between the shots?

Smoky jockey me gotta say it is awfully fun to see 3- and 4-digit red numbers float up on the far distant side of the map. It's happening more often than I expected. The "new" crit hit system (flat 20% and etc) in the current mix is more useful that the old system was in the old mix ... is my guess.
