Well, my friend - Spartan_28 was banned for using that expression and I've banned someone for that too. It's considered a 'profane abbreviation.' You could even ask him, he's been banned for saying it.

Wait, you've banned someone? Since when? And it may differ depending on the Mod you're talking to... or it may not. They always have to analyze the context before initiating a ban.

I have a question.

 

Commenting on someone's photo is allowed, that's cool and all.

 

But something has been on my mind.

 

Why wasn't their ever a separate topic created for comments on someone's photo like there's a separate topic created to comment on someone's real photo?

 

90K+ replies is a lot of replies to one topic, and extremely impressive as well. but lets be honest.. not all the 90K+ replies are photos.

 

At least 25% of the post here are just normal post, and not photos.

Anyway, it's just got me thinking.

 

I just think that 3 years ago, a separate topic should have been made to comment on peoples photos, just like the "real photo" topic.

 

I understand what you are asking. Below is the topic post for "Real photo". There are two factors involved when comparing that topic to POTD. "Real Photo" is a topic where forum members can show other members what they look like. The original rule of that topic called for no discussion. As time passed, a number of individuals continuously broke that rule. And so, a new topic was created for that extensive social interaction. The statement "You can discuss players' photos here", was added when the Real Photo topic discussion topic was created.

 

As for POTD: This topic involves an extensive variety of "photo forms", rather than just one photo. Such as, battle, gold box, rank-ups, etc., and other screen shots; scorecards, cartoon images, memes, gifs, photos, something of your own creation (drawings, etc.), or any other type of image that you think would be of interest to the community. 

 

Because of the wide range of photo forms related with POTD, The convenience of immediate comment is paramount to the "Thread" of this topic. Whereas, "Real Photo" is not a "Thread topic", a separate topic was eventually necessary.

 

P.S. I hope this clears up a few questions you may have. I could have gotten into more detail, but my dog is doing the PP dance, and in need of his nightly walk.  :)

 

Real photo

 

It has always been interesting for some of us to see the people we chat to in the forum, the people that make those interesting threads that keep us glued to the forum for hours.

Lets make things easier for everyone and add our real photos so as to have a picture of our friends.

Lets try to put clear, decent and real photos of ourselves. Developers are also invited to put their pictures here.

I will break the ice and add my photo first hope you'll do as wise.

i did send in a note to the mod who closed it and i don't agree why it was due for a good reason ..just like what is going on ..this topic was created to post photo's not to make a discussion room ..it would be nice to ask questions to players on how they got on top of things or even how can they get so many kills and little deaths ..things like that would be way better then to flood a section that should and was fully intended only for one purpose only ..so i hope i made my point clear to this forum / mod / admin..

I think what we are just recently experiencing here, are new members who have not viewed the POTD topic post (below). In addition to the topic posts prime instruct, are the POTD rules including that of PM use. It's fine to comment and banter in this topic. However when it gets to the point where that dialogue goes on for the length of an entire page or two, it's time to move it to the PM. I hope everybody can be considerate enough of form members to respect the fact that other members might like to have some input without having to navigate the flood. 

 

P.S. Suggestion: Create a topic like, "Discuss what did you do today in the Battle".  :)
