Yes devs introduced it in a not-very-recent update 

 

Good tip: change the goldbox activation button from "6" to some other key like zero... to.. you know, prevent any accidents :P

Oh yeah, I used to have it set as "NumPad 5" until I read @Captain.x's post:

I never ever realized that you can straight up leave the control for using the gold box supply blank!  :ph34r:

this in a 15 min non-pro match. two really kind and helpful isidas, when the zero supply was 100 for them they came to me and pressed shift. i capped 8 flags in the match with their help. one gold but hacker shaft wasp got that :(
