Option to disable chat in PRO battles

Recommended Posts

Two options that a host has with their Pro Battle Pass

Mute (Public) - Currently players can turn off the out-of-game chat via settings but there is not an option to turn off the public chat in-game.
This feature would not affect team chat but would disable public chat including DM.

Why is this a good idea? It still allows players to still communicate strategically in teams but prevents common occurences in chat such as players spamming the public chat, insulting players from the other team or asking others to team up in DM etc

No Kill (Gold Box) - This option would prevent players from being able to inflict weapon/mine damage on enemy from the time the gold box is announced until the time it is collected. Exploding mines would still lift tanks and weapons would have the same effect as shooting a friendly tank in parkour.

As soon as the gold box is collected, play would revert back to normal.

Why is this a good idea? It would create more opportunity for lower-ranked players to get the gold box (though better hulls and weapons would still have an advantage)and players could try to obtain it with skill and without the risk of druggers killing them for the crystals (particularly unfair with unbalanced teams).
Furthermore, so many players request "no kill" in chat when the gold box falls but this relies on a mutual trust that is rarely upheld by all players.
Tanks could still be pushed, shoved and flipped etc so driving/parkour skills, weapon accuracy and mine placement would all come into play.

Valid

Second idea almost certainly will not be added as destroying other tanks is literally what this game is all about. First one has some potential, but will rarely be used since most players would much rather have ability to talk than sacrifice conversations for the sake of reducing spam.
