I don't like camp map. AndNoise is so boring map. I like big maps. There I can use different tactics and routes. Monte Carlo seems to open for me. I like Rio and Polygon too.

What about monte carlo with virtually no cover?

That would be a okay map. The rails peek-a-booming annoy me there, but I can usually knock their aim off as they are coming out. But I haven't played a team battle in a long time, I usually lose no matter what I do. Desert is easily my favorite map for dm, second is polygon, and I don't know about third and on.

I hate Serpuhov in my gut. It feels like a map with no redeeming qualities, even though the high narrow path on the right (if you are red) is a somewhat interesting feature.

 

My real problem with Serpuhov is that there is too much open area and that long range turrets can stall gameplay by not allowing tanks to cross. Boring!

 

Lost Temple has the same problem, but has some interesting map features to compensate.

 

There is also Düsseldorf and Berlin. I don't hate these maps, but they both cause too many Flash crashes for me to play regularly. Can be good for supply missions though.

 

Surprised to see Noise is the biggest loser so far. Seems to be a popular map, but definitely the site of many a stalemate.

i suggest that EVERYONE changes their vote because i am sure you found out there's worst maps than what you chose.

I found out the map brest is a horrible map way worst than chernobyl,go check it out.even shaft is bad in that map

Island #No-strategy :)

Your Freeze has no strategy on maps not the map. For example, every cover is important for Hammer like me when expanding to be more professional with it. Hammer requires a lot of the skill as like using objects to hide while reloading.


I vote "noob area", worst thing in Tanki, lack of good and honest soldiers.

Not really. 2 shots with slugger and you annihilate any light hull. Medium and heavy hulls? m2 alt has no problem with those.

No, I answered honestly.

 

Much depends on your definition of 'worst'. Attributes such as landscape and feature diversity, size relative to features, feature variety, playability and moreover exploitation by various hull and turret types, applicability of DM, TDM, CTF, and CP and how these modes play, and finally (or not) location of supply and gold drops.

 

I didn't want to get into all that so I went with my personal least favorite.

Because these maps comprise 80% to 90% of the created games. They all offer mindless tank slaugherhouse games. These games are the bane of Tanki.  So many games are played on these mindless slaughterhouse maps that they skew the dats Tanki uses to "balance" the game. I hate these maps not just for the gameplay but because they bring the whole Tanki game down in quality.

 

I refuse to play in these games. I do play in Sandbox but only to complete Finish in 1st missions,

 

As for maps I do not like personally but will play them.

 

Forest:  Too many damn trees for Smoky users' aiming.

Tribute: Zzzz and horrible spawning places on CP versions.

Kungur: Just seems to offer dull gameplay and the 3 CP points for that size map is inexplicable.

 

There are maps like Monte Carlo and Highways that I don't like much, but I realize shafts need "their" maps too. Same thoughts for the tiny maps like Ping Pong and duel... not for me but I see why they are there.

Massacre... Blegh.

 

 

Massacre is sublime ... by far the best map in the gmae!  [swoon]

 

Massacre is using terrain "realistically"  Using a little roll of the land to protect you, shooting on the ove at moving targets on uneven terrain ... learn to lay this map and all others are easy.  I love the hell out of this map. I wish there were a dozen maps built around the uneven terrain concept.  :wub:

I applaud your style. But in the game it is becoming all to common to see a Hammer or two running arounf with DD up all the time, just one-shotting everything in its path.  :angry:

Kungur has not only 3CPs how I know, I think there are at least 5 of them.

 

Well these maps may be common because they are well made to bring all different spirit from one to other or more crystals per experience and time. Many players at lower rank would more vote for better profit than more experience/skills in some maps.

 

Personally I'd like more players in Tanki with which we would have more various maps too :P.
