Railgun M2 damage needs to be buffed and Tweak Firebird

Why? Well, it can't even handle half the M1s like Firebird, Ricochet, Thunder, Hammer and is hardly stronger than M1 Railgun.

I hate having to go into battle with my Electra kit and be overpowered by lower grade guns because of how weak M@ Railgun is. Some times I have to make two shots on M0 Hornets which is pathetic.

With the way damage is set up, you're best sticking to the M1 Rail since it takes the same amount of shots to kill most tanks. I know this since I tested it on my friend's account. (we know eachother in person)

M2 Railgun needs a good increase in the average damage shots and with weak shots being more likely, that puts Railgun at an even higher disadvantage. 680 - 780 is where most of my shots end up, sometimes higher, but that's what I see, meaning M2 Rail is way too weak for an M2. I should be getting damage averages like this:

800 - 900

M2 Rail should NOT have to need two shots to kill an M0 hornet unless they have Rail protection and I can tell when they do when my damage does hardly over 500.

I'm not saying to increase the overall damage, but to alter where the average shots fall. I hate it I can't play in other M2 battles since all the other M2s lay waste of me unless I use double damage, so I'm stuck playing with lower rankers to get even the slightest advantage from my hull being the M2 Dictator.

That's it, just raise the average damage Rail M2 does and we're good.

With 800 - 900, even with double damage I might still have to make two shots to kill a Titan M1. Normally I'd say Mammoth, but the so called rebalance made the M1 and M2 Titan have more hp than M1 and M2 Mammoth :/

This way, tankers won't have to sit forever to kill a single tank. Especially me since I'm fed up with how weak Railgun M2 is compared to the other M2s.

Heck, throw Firebird M1 on a Wasp M1 I'd be killed! Happens all the time which brings me to my next point, that Firebird afterburn shouldn't start until after the firebird has stopped firing or you managed to get away.

What's the point of afterburn then? You may ask, well, Normally, with one full spray, M1 Firebird can wreck M2s up to my M2 Dictator. The Afterburn adds damage on top of Firebirds initial damage which is way too much.

This wouldn't make it UP in anyway, it would make more sense.

It's AFTERburn, not DURINGburn.

LOL I'm not the only one who thinks that Railgun M1 and M2 are the same.

[--[-----------]-- THE "EXTRA DMG" FROM RAIL M2 ARE OUTLIERS THEY DO NOT MAKE AN OVERALL DIFFERENCE

Blue Brackets = M1 DMG range
Red Brackets = M2 DMG range

Blue Dashes = Median of M1 DMG
Red Dashes = Median of M2 DMG

The green dashes = Commom DMG range

Conclusion: RAIL M2 IS USELESS BECAUSE THEY WILL HIT IN THE SAME DAMAGE RANGE

Bad use of 96k

^

There is already a probability curve skewed center to determine the random damage, approximately the values you stated....

What Railgun M2 needs is faster reloading, period. :D

Edit: Also, like I stated a few posts earlier, Firebird is the weakest turret. It makes sense that it should beat a Railgun in close-combat. You can kill it from any other range. I'm against anything that weakens Firebird further...

You know what? 2 years ago, I had railgun m2 on my main account (Same stats as now). I had the same issues with it. Everyone was complaining about me using double damage all the time. Didn't want to tell them that railgun m2 without double damage is nothing. I really admire that you came here to complain. I thought I was the only one who suffered from m2 railgun :D

Tip: Railgun is best at M1. M2 and M3 are bad. It is only good for xp/bp battles.

I disagree,my best moments are divided between all railgun modifications,I had full m0 railgun then got m1 free then bought m2 on sale then fully micro upgraded that step by step(I'm not from those who got free m3 because of doing one full parameter.but I did 90 % of mu then got m3 free)

And now its m3.5 and I love it balanced ,needs skill to use it.

My advice is : micro upgrade just 10 times and you maybe lucky to 1 shot kill m0 ,

If I am wrong please correct me.Thx

So what you're saying is buff Railgun and nerf Firebird some more?

Hate to say it but Firebirds afterburn is almost pointless unless you have the alteration. It takes a whole change to reach full temperature.

If you want the old Railgun back wait for the next set of alterations to be released, it will increase its damage but also its reload. It will be the old Railgun again.

Well, right now, Railgun is super OP against same-tier light hulls and very weak against heavies.  It STILL can two-shot a light hull like before, but now it reloads much faster.

Firebird is fine as it is. What players don't realize is that destroying tanks with Firebird feels a lot longer when you are the one using it versus you being the one attacked. The fact that you let Fire Wasps get close enough to you, a Railgun Dictator is strange. Rail is a long range weapon. Of course it will lose out to short range guns. Do you play short range battles with rail? If anything, Railgun is now better suited to destroying light hulls than heavy hulls, since it takes the same number of shots now as it did pre-rebalance to destroy Hornets or Wasps, but now the reload is better.

Side note: I remember once having to two shot an M0 Hornet with M2 Rail before rebalance.  :)

He must have the M0

I've used the M3. Even after getting someone to the max temp limit (.8), which requires you to be continuously firing at them for about 5 seconds, they only take 780 hp in afterburn damage. That's less than half a light-hull's hp, and remember, light hulls would die before reaching that limit from plain damage.

I still remember when players were actually scared of the afterburn.

I agree except the only thing is that firebird's afterburn is a pathetic joke, (and yes, even at M3)

Well i have a m2 fire 30/50 with both alterations that wrecks m3's in less than 5 seconds...
