Doesn't matter where I'm from. I can be an independent developer or start my own company. Anybody that says I can't is just my fuel for proving people wrong.

Don't go to college. It's a waste of money. Apprenticeships are better.

Wow. Can't believe this guy. I can't stop laughing!

What are you going to do when you grow up and you don't have a Major? Macdonalads? If you don't spend money on learning, you won't get money for learning the stuff you learned! GL in life maybe I'll see you on the streets. You need a major to get a good job, or you will be suffering with debts

No it's not.

Your right. It's not debatable. It's a must go.

Either you're rich or.... you know what nvm I don't care...

Seriously what job do you want to do? Cause the only job I could see you is the cashier, or 5th avenue right bench

Your parents went to college to get a degree to work, without a degree you won't get a decent job. You need skill, and you get that form learning in college

Well, that's wrong, at least in my country. An apprenticeship is just as good as some degrees, and jobs are more consistent.

Just cause your life might suck, doesn't mean mine will. You obviously don't know the world. Wasting money on college? Why, so I can get a piece of paper that says I'm smarter. What do you work as? Tell me, I'm interested.

The professors are meant to make you think for yourself more then they are to make you smarter. There are many reasons for going to college and becoming 'smarter' is not often one of them.

Just because you don't go to college does not mean you will have a sub-par job/career. In fact, some of the most lucrative jobs/careers do not require a degree and sometimes do not have one available. Colleges usually will not teach you skills, but rather the ability to think independently on an intellectual level. Apprenticeships do this backwards.

Is that hard work in actual coding, or 'game design' which; from my perspective, is attended only by people who consider themselves more creative than everyone else.

You are going to live a life you HATE. If you hate your job, you won't be motivated. Gaming? Ok, good luck because you will not be paid a lot at ALL because anyone can do that job.

I will be a civil engineer. Requires a lot of math and planning, plus it's really cool using metals and finding out how to make a structure stronger.
Or I'll be a military engineer. Both get paid well and have many benifits. Video gaming is just (to me) not as interesting in the real world. I want to take part in the world, so i will build roads, bridges, to help people get to where they need to go safely. Gaming just exposes you to blue light and damages your eyes. Plus it doesn't help the world, it hurts it (addiction, blue light). It's not about paper that says your smarter, it PROVES that you are smarter than others. Unintelligent people are EASILY brain washed, cause they don't know better. I know the world. I know how it works

Gaming can actually be better for your eyesight assuming you play them in moderation. Gaming has other benefits as well such as brain plasticity, stimulation, problem solving, reflexes, dexterity etc. Too much of anything can be bad for you.

Depends on the game you play (i.e, tanki is not helping you in anything at all.)
