Add death zones to pits

I've been playing maps like Zone Barda Gravity Kunger etc. These maps are similar because they have a place where you can go into a hole underneath it. Now when playing CTF players often get the flag and go into the hole so that you wouldn't be able to capture any flags.This is a team disadvantage because if you are losing you wouldn't be able to capture the flag, and some places will be hard to attack if it is occupied by the enemy. If you make this a self destruct point then even if they go inside the enemy flag will be returned. Another solution is that only people who have the flag self destruct.  Most Probably this Idea is going to be declined but please consider the problem.

This does have potential, but don't forget that keeping the flag in the hole may be a valid strategy, as it delays the other team's effort to return the flag and gives their team more time to counter-attack. Also, having to stay in the hole and wait for self-destruction is a player's penalty for not being careful with their driving, or an enemy's reward for pushing them into the hole. So adding an instant self-destruct makes this obsolete.

 

If it's a player on your own team holding the flag in a hole to purposefully prevent your team from capturing it, then he's violating the game rules and you can either report him with /vote or record a video and post in the Game Violations section. See guide.

For an enemy, keeping the flag in the hole may be a valid strategy, as it delays the other team's effort to return the flag and gives their team more time to counter-attack. If it's a player on your own team holding the flag in a hole to purposefully prevent your team from capturing it, then he's violating the game rules and you can either report him with /vote or record a video and post in the Game Violations section. See guide.

 

But such violations are rare and it's not worth removing key elements of many maps just to prevent it.

i say just get rid of the hole.

The holes on Zone though are ridiculous. I recently did a 1v1 there where the opposing player just drove deliberately into the hole, waited there until I eventually killed him, then went straight back into it -_-

 

The Zone pits should be an SD area for sure.

Piece of advice: if you are the flag holder, just stay out of any holes, if the enemy flag holder is in a hole, let someone on your team take that risk. :P

 

If I was on your team, then all you need to do is come right up to me and say "hey fatty, go deal with their flagger" and sure enough, I'll get the job done, most of the time. :D

When I first started playing TO, this was a strategy my team decided to implement. I using Wasp. I grabbed the enemy flag and was watching where the enemy was, not were I was going and fell into a very narrow hole that most tanks could just glide over, but a Wasp couldn't . I don't remember the map anymore.

 

Our team was already way ahead and the other team had no hope for recovery in the remaining time (about 2-3minutes, I think). I was wedged in the hole on my side. I discovered that if I turn my turret a certain way, the flag would disappear into the ground, making me undetectable. One of my team mates told me to stay hidden and don't self destruct. Two of our Mammoths parked over the hole, making me completely hidden. Eventually, both Mammoths were killed and I saw enemy tanks drive right over me and didn't know I was there. Occasionally, I'd move my tracks so I wouldn't get booted out of the battle. Again, a team mate said don't move we will protect you. The Mammoths came back and parked over the hole again. As I remember, the battle fund was fairly high. Sure, maybe it was sabotage, but the whole team was in on it. Besides, even if I did cap, there was no way the enemy was going to get any where near our base.

I love flipping enemies into that zone hole ,you may think of enemy team which may not be sportsmanship,but use of that hole

is different,

 

Please note that near hole is where you can run with flag and if you lost that enemy will come and try to return it but it is possible that enemy fall into hole.

 

Personally I believe that holes add beautifulness to the battles since they are funny objects of the game. Imagine zone without hole; sandbox 2

interesting new thing happening in games .

 

. so for the new thing , mainly the Russian team mates are now falling into holes in battles and hiding there to get kills .mainly the battles which have roads / ramps over top of them so shots can bounce off the underside of the ramps and stuff .

 

there hiding in them so players wont kill them ...u need to put a kill zone thing in them ..

 

what i mean is if your in say Rio and you go to far into the beach area it as a section that automatically kills your tank this is what we need in the holes so players will die when landing in them ...

if you go in the history of tanki we did have this about a year ago.. not sure why they removed the system... there could have been issues with it all together .. i hope it does return due to the killing rate on this is faster then if you hit delete ... i think like 3 seconds and even if we hit the button it wont change on our deaths either one we use its a death,...

That might've been the old Future map. I had a similar experience there.
