Relocate drops on "Noise"

I just noticed how unbalanced the map was in CTF mode.

 

 

you see those drops in the blue teams base? the double armor and the double damage? do you think its any wonder why the blue team has a massive disadvantage? not only the red team gets the drops in their own base, but they also get the other teams drops most of the time. don't you think that's a bit unfair when the blue team loses crucial supplies because the red team can get them more easily?

 

so here's what I think will make it more balanced:

 

lets put the blue teams double armor and double damage drop boxes underneath the platforms that they are currently on.

 

 

and if this idea gets rejected, then I understand :D

 

 

ps: we could also bevel the edges on the ledge in a few high spots (which is good for mounting a better offense for the red team) to compensate the red team for not getting blues supplies as well as its own :D

Agreed, nice. :) Noise is such a pointless one-sided slaughter-map anyways...usually ends up with blue camping in base and red just firing down at them, although when they do jump down they get annihilated...however, unless blue all comes up at once, they get annihilated as well.

"Blue team always has a disadvantage" bro..... Do you even know how hard it is to get past the hoard of Titan+Twins'/Freezes of the blue defence? Along with Blue having a MAJOR advantage in flag calling since all they have to do is grab is and run to their base and jump down. Not to mention that it's super hard to defend on red team since you fairly exposed . Only way to break through blue's defence is to equip firebird (if you have M2 and alteration like I do) grab a DD and burn through by jumping down like their flag runners do. And even that's ineffective usually cause they have Mines on all escape routes . Blue has a big advantage in terms of almost everything except that they don't have any drops except for a speed drop next to the flag

Well, usually if the teams are equal in quality red controls the middle...meaning only a coordinated breakthrough will work, they can destroy anybody coming up the ramps in seconds. They can also fire into the blue base, especially with guns like Thunder and Ricochet, and themselves from a safe position.

All it takes is a shaft with the alteration, a thunder and an isida to hold off any attackers from a defensive blue team.

Now that I think about it, I actually somewhat disagree with this idea. Noise is a very unique map and each side has its advantages. I definitely agree that red team has advantage in DM, TDM and CP, but the most popular game mode on that map is CTF, and in that mode the blue base is actually very easy to defend, while to steal the red flag all one needs to do is fight their way to the top, grab the flag and jump down.

 

So while the drops may need to be replaced for the first three game modes, I'm pretty sure they're balanced in CTF.

Not necessarily. In a PRO battle without supplies and only drops, reds have to be very coordinated to be able to take out the whole blue base and steal the flag, even if they manage to collect all drop boxes.

I'm starting to think the same thing, while it may be hard to attack the reds, it's actually easy to keep the flags safe in the blue team.
