Friendly fire damage

How is it possible to take damage from a team mate in a standard battle?

 

It has happened several times while coming up through the ranks. Just today, on Monte Carlo, a team mate was consistently firing on me with his Rico (I don't know the reason) and my Dictator took considerable damage, about 30% out of 100%. This is only an estimate.

 

If this was the first time it happened, I might think he was hacking. But, the fact it has happened several times from different players, makes me wonder.

Friendly fire might be an interesting option for Pro Battles....if you kill one of your own team, you lose one (maybe two) of your previous kills...or maybe you blow up as the teammate you just shot bows up.

But those poor Firebirds and Freeze in Polygon CP will be killing their teammates just as fast as the enemies. :(

The friendly fire was removed. Might be a bug.

 

As I said, it's standard battle.

 

Yeah, I remember when friendly fire could be activated. I didn't participate in those battles. If this is a bug, then it's been in the system for years. It's usually Rico that does it, but it has happened with railgun at close range.

 

I haven't heard of anyone else complaining about this.

It might have been a glitch where the system doesn't display the right players on your team (wrong team color) but I have never experienced this. I will keep an eye out.

Friendly fire was not in the game, but it was brought back today as a special PRO battle option. It is not on in normal battles, so what you saw must have been either a glitch, lag or just your own misinterpretation. If this happens again, record a video (or at least take screenshots) and post in the Problems and Solutions section. Otherwise there's nothing we can say other than the fact that friendly fire was not in the game when you posted this topic.
