Patch Update #430 - New Striker turret, new Alterations and decorations

Hammer faced some problems that are gone in the meanwhile.

  • during the introduction of hammer the protections were still bundled to paints. So there was a lot of Artwork to be done. This is not the case any more. You don't even have to think of names any more.
  • during the introduction of hammer the protections were bundles of different protection% vs different turrets (like Tiger was maybe 15% rail, 30% smoky, 40% hammer). So there was sure some time spend to think of
    • what to bundle < still a task
    • how many percents to give < this is now gone

So the things that slowed down the introduction of protections are not here any more.

 

 


 

but you are right. Poly CP will have quite a lot of those after the xmas sale.

 

In the beginning I thought that you can shoot an infinite number of rockets all 0,25sec. The DPM would be absolutely off scale (aproximately 4x the DPM of twins) and poly CP would be a single large silvester rocket party :)

 

In the meanwhile I think it could work more like shots&reload of a rico: one rocket all 0,25 seconds that consumes 25% of your energy bar, and when your energy is gone you have to wait until 25% are available again. The Poland wiki mentions a reloads time of 2.118sec for M3. This would bring the DPM down a lot.. which is very, very good.

Real newbies will experience a tough times for sure :D.

Will the new Smoky alteration override the old alteration if both are loaded/used at the same time?

 

Old alteration: -100% Critical Hit

New alteration: +20% Critical Hit

The old Smoky alteration REMOVES the critical hit. It makes sense that the percentages come from the mechanics, not the other way around. -100% is probably the mathematical way of saying "it doesn't exist". IMO, it would make sense, that if you combine them, you get no critical.

Bad things : no holiday map and no mission :/ it was not mentionned in the patch note.

Hey, maybe it's a surprise? It was on the test server so I'm sure it'll be in the game.

Yes, a friend told me that the map was on the test server, but the test was already closed yesterday.

 

The good thing is that the filter button is already back at the bottom of the page.

But so far, no map and no decorations on billboards or drops. I guess they are working on it, which is fine.

After playing with the striker turret i have concluded that it is horrible as of now. The homing rocket lock on system is broken because its all too easy to just go behind cover for a second and the striker is now not a threat at all, similar to shaft but with shaft you can at least keep your shot charged when they come out. AND even if you do manage to launch some homing missiles half the time they hit the ground, ceiling or any other static object nearby killing yourself instead of the enemy, which makes this turret useless compared to shaft. Yes, you can fire a single rocket but if half the turret is a worse version of another whats even the point of buying it?

 

AND FIX THE DAMN LASER

ITS THE SAME AS SHAFTS

 

Im tired of having to play russian roulette.

 

 

AND EVEN MORE ON TOP OF THIS

 

When you fire a single shot it can be out of any barrel, so no shots are centered and its completely luck based if it decides to fire a foot away or not. BS

Played vs a Striker. Very bad weapon, cheap damages lol. I can't imagine with a protective paint. I think devs will rework it, both damages and the look (like they did after releasing Hammer and Vulcan).
