Patch Update #430 - New Striker turret, new Alterations and decorations

Sounds epic. I'll get it on one of my alternate to try it. If I like it I'll get M2 of it :D but when's Artillery gonna be released? Pretty soon I suspect if Striker is already out (btw . Suggestion. Change the name, it's not bad but it could be way better)

I like to say a few things the striker's features need to be changed no need for a laser to aim or a full target and the have to buy m1 23 needs to go it should be optional to buy m1 2 3 or 0 not a bad turret could be better and dead tanks should disappear quicker in my opinion hope people agree and it works out thank you

Ok so I started a new account to test striker and here are my initial observations which may or may not prove valid as time goes on:

 

Striker is like a cross between shaft and thunder but much more like thunder.  Much better than thunder in fact.  I found that firing single shots was usually much more effective than trying to get a missile lock for the full load.  However, when the situation presents itself, the full load seems more devastating than a shaft shot and much easier/faster to pull off.  The fact that you can drive/aim while getting missile lock eliminates the huge weakness of shaft in that regard.

 

Like thunder, it doesn't work well with light hulls because the splash self damage will hurt--although the recoil is no problem.  Also like thunder you'll need to get the best striker protection possible to protect against self damage.

 

Turret rotation is fast enough and reload is very quick.

 

My first impression is that striker is OP (which means you should plan on it getting nerfed).  I would pair it with hunter + the highest striker protection possible--even if it's only a single protection you will definitely need it in close range.  I'm still learning but I read that it won't shoot past a maximum range.  Haven't actually run into that problem yet but I've only played it about an hour so far.  I also read that the damage is the same at any range but it seemed that it did less damage at longer range.  Again will need to clarify this and compare to thunder stats.

About the new alterations.  Removing splash damage from thunder and increasing its damage makes thunder possibly the new OP turret.  You now have fast shots that hit instantly and you're no longer vulnerable at close range.  This is huge and totally changes thunder.  The new smoky alteration also puts smoky in the running for OP.  Since they nerfed the bejeezus out of Vulcan a month or so ago, rail has been the most OP turret.  I think that title  is now up for grabs between thunder or smoky with the new alterations or striker.  It will be interesting to see how it shakes out in gameplay.

 

I made the account I'm posting this on as a dedicated rail acc but it's no longer obvious whether the damage increase alteration will allow it to compete with altered thunder/smoky or striker.  Thanks again for completely screwing up player's attempts at long range planning tanki developers.  You guys are the best!  /sarcasm.

Like the turret, don't like all of the other stuff, makes the game too complicated, seems like the powers of be are trying to get more money from the players...please remember that after all, we are buying nothing when we give you money, when tanki is no longer, all of this will be also gone, find ti really hard to spend any more money on tanki, cant justify for myself or my kids.

The patch update #430 is amazing. Lots of good alterations for various turrets. The new rockets turret is called "Striker". Striker is an amazing turret and today 23/12/2016 I have seen many players in battle who have already purchased it and they are using it.

 

The Striker turret is perfectly balanced in its damage impact. Striker is capable of destroying an M4 Mammoth which is the strongest hull in Tanki Online. That's amazing. We all need to have a strong long range turret.

 

Striker only needs to have guided rockets that can follow an enemy tank when its rockets are launched so that it does not miss its target, otherwise all the other parameters of Striker is 100% perfect.

 

I will buy M3 Striker on sale when it has a 50% discount on its price.

 

Please can we have a 50% sale for this Christmas sale.

Striker turret: Releasing all rockets after a certain time with or without lock
 

 

Title is self explanatory the ability to release all rockets after a certain time with or without lock

People can evade lock easily by hiding behind a house or a corner then shot and go back to

Camping with the ability to release rockets in a certain direction with without lock after a certain

Delay would be nice.

 

 

Also what are the effects of such ability on the game balance ? i have no clue.

We need four protection modules with the new Striker protection.

That would be too much.

 

But I think they should allow pairing 2 modules, with one exception, the second module should be a Single, so if you have a Triple module you can pair it with a Single module to have 4 turret/mine protection. If you have a Double module you can add a Single module also for a maximum of three turret/mine protection.

 

A laser detector and warning module would be great too. Or maybe not. Wait, the Mine module should also include a warning.

Who the 'F' told Tanki to re-introduce 'Friendly Fire' feature ?? Its most stupid feature & suicidal. Please remove this feature as soon as possible. Other feature is nice except this one.

Wow, Riddler, you're very possitive today! But I agree, the new turret and the changes look very promising. I'm just not sure about the friendly fire: it might ruin some games when there is a player who just want to annoy the rest, Time will tell.

After playing with the striker turret i have concluded that it is horrible as of now. 

 

I wouldn't say it's horrible, but it does need improvement.  Compared to Shaft, it's not a great turret. The OP is correct that the lock on is not as useful as it could be.  It's too easy to throw off by fire from other turrets (like Smoky).  The OP is also correct that the single shot accuracy is bad.  The splash damage is too intense, making this turret suicide in close combat (unlike Shaft).  Also, the lack of any elevation control means that single shots often fly off the map, especially if firing from high ground.

 

The devs definitely have an interesting concept here, but it does need some work.

Hmm, not sure if I agree. It makes the game more complicated but also more diverse and I think more fun. The great number of mixed turrets/hulls/alterations make each fight different which keeps the game interesting.

As for the money, its like 21-pilots said: wake up, they need to make money! There is nothing wrong with that. I would say: spend some money on the game because what you get in return is hours of fun. It is the same like spending money on a night out, holiday, etc.: what you get in return is entertainment for a certain amount of time. With tanki you can decide yourself if and how much you want to spend. You can justify it four your kids by bying some crystals for their account as well, at least, that is what I do.

Striker

 

Now that the Striker (Rocket Launcher) has been released, the Wiki needs to be updated and it must include the Striker turret.

 

Players need to have all the relevant information for the Striker turret and its protection modules as well.

V-Log 119

 

The V-Log 119 was skipped last Friday due to the Happy New Year Celebrations preparation so this Friday V-Log 119 must be twice as long so that players can catch up with the development news of Tanki Online.
