Garage description:

Missile launcher with medium range. Holding down the firing button will capture a target and launch a barrage of guided missiles at the enemy.

Since the dawn of warfare, the biggest threat to a tank was an anti-tank missile. That beastie could carefully deliver an explosive package to its target from a very long distance. Anti-tank complex “Striker” continues a century-old tradition of express explosion delivery to the tank and its armor. Target capturing system with a pre-installed AI will use spectral analysis to allow maximum precision when firing the missiles. For dynamic battles, an option to directly shoot the rockets is also included. Tankers don’t show much affection for this armored box of microchips, suspecting it’s actually a severed head of a cleaning robot, which can short out at any minute and decide to “clean” all of the tankers from the battle.

I personally love the looks of striker on Viking with a good paint like inferno :D Other than that, that damage of striker isn`t clearly given as "per missile" or per snipe shot in the garage stats. Need the wiki

about it fast

with the introduction of the new striker it is very powerful, most likely this will shape new tactics,it will be far more difficult using a mammoth or titan to attack because its vulnerable to a full barrage of missiles rendering those tanks to play more of a defensive role as long as its hiding near a wall so they can avoid the incoming missiles. the splash could clear a good group of attacker/defense. the only downside I can think of is that the projectiles may be avoided by fast tanks and the lock on system can be deactivated once off target, so knocking off aim will be very useful to get out of its sights only for it to lock on you again. but in my opinion its more of a weapon to take out stationary targets from afar such as flag sitters, to get the most from the turret using its barrage.

Not good against short range due to splash damage and the fact that the barrels aren't in the centre, so people tend to miss shots at short range.

Not good against long range due to the amount of time needed to charge all four rockets when locking on to a target.

It's probably a pretty good/ok midrange weapon due to the splash damage etc, though probably not as good as thunder. I don't think the barrage attack will be used often, but as for the normal attack, it's pretty good imo

Striker is a great weapon against shafts , it can move while sniping as well. Shots well in arcade mode as well.

Any weapon is a great weapon against shafts when they're not protected by other tanks. Also, the laser beam is a dead giveaway. Shaft users lock on to a target and fire almost immediately, whereas striker users have to lock on a target for a long time before firing, giving other tanks (especially light hulls) a long time to run and hide. Yes it can move while sniping, but you'll have to keep your laser on the target for the whole time.

I've only fiddled with it on a new alternate account but I find it fun.

IMO you do well in Tanki by knowing your system's strengths and moving on the field to setup those strengths. Striker's good points:

Relatively large damage / shot.

Full damage at very long range.

Splash damage.

Special attack mode with massive damage.

Laser targeting. (Yes. this has disadvantages too)

Pretty obvious but how to translate on battlefield.

1) Essential: Learn to shoot single missiles while moving and be able to hit moving targets at range. It's not for everyone I suppose ... but single shots are how you should fight most of the time, Once you get the hang of this the fun begins. Go to Parma and duel with enemies on the far edge of the map.

2) Use th elaser pointer to aim SINGLE shots. The laser can make sure you are pointing well esp at long range. Then fire a single shot and use that launch to adjust the follow-ypos.

3) Splash damage means you can miss the enemy but hit the wall behind them, They have trouble hiding whilke you garass.  OR... fire at walls and often you will se damage numbers float up from unseen enemies. Let the missile fly.

4) When you learn to hit with single shots especially on the move then then you'll learn when the time is ripe for salvos. Being able to keep th elaser lockon while you move really helps.

5) In a team roles sense, I;'ve found Striker is the perfect weapon to reduce enemy defensive concentrations.  When there's a lor of enemy around a flag, say. Or a sniper/vulcan or two w/Isida holding a chokepoint.  Well then you rain in the missiles from long range and keep them raining.  The splash dmaage constantly weakens them all.  And if they pop out to shoot, they often run into a missile already in flights.  That's the sport of special role I see.

Anyway... just want to chip in. I think the turret is fun and can be effective.  It's stil new and players are still learning how to use it best.

Striker SUCK, yes my name it TIE Striker but I chose it because it's the name of the new Tie fighter glider in Rogue One. Anyways the missiles travel super slow and trying to hit a moving target while free shooting is next to impossible. The lock on takes way too long and it's pretty easy to dodge missiles.

Improvements faster lock on time about 1/3 shorter than it now and faster missile velocity. To balance these improvements I would like the barrage would reload slower and deal slightly less damage, and you wouldn't be able to move will scanning for a target to lock on like Shaft.

I hope improvements are made to Striker as it's a cool turret but in battle it's not really effective.

Maybe read LittleWillie's post two posts above yours? It's a comprehensive primer on how to use the turret effectively.

To me, a new turret being launched was quite exiting. Personally, I thought that the name 'STRIKER' was not a bad one.(no offence to those who don't like the name) :D But when I first bought the turret, I was a little disappointed. I don't like the way it has two shooters, as tankers always tend to miss. I also don't like the way it will self-destruct when too near an opponent. :( I thought it looked a little ugly too. Also, the opponent is able to doge the missile with ease. STRIKER is not as accurate as other turrets, such as SMOKY, RAILGUN, and SHAFT. (no offence to those who think that Striker is awesome) However, a turret always have its advantages and disadvantages. So, I thought that the only good thing about STRIKER was that it is able to launch multiple missiles in a few seconds and have the possibility and chance to kill two tanks at once. :)

Anyway, a tanker has his own rights to choose and decide for himself. He will be the one who is deciding, not us. So, we can only share what we think of this turret. After all, everyone looks at STRIKER differently.
