I seem to aim better when I have set my camera higher, I don't know why.

There's also a lot of aim finetuning going on, it helps when you have a mechanical keyboard.

It's a bit of a hit and miss in battles. Sometimes I can pull out great scores, other times I keep getting killed constantly.

I also loose all the time against Ricochet no matter the situation. if Ricochet sees you, you're dead. In no way I can keep a lock on on those guys if they fire at me. The same counts for Twins but they can be taken down if you're close to an obstacle and let splash damage do the work.

I barely use Mammoth but Striker shines on that hull in Desert maps. You can see enemies coming from a great distance and you don't need to move a lot if you're the defender. 90% of the times I use Viking though. It's indeed a nice mix of health and speed.

I will leave the battle if Shoes come on my team. I know they'll ram into everything and keep blocking the view.

Rockets are wasted when Shoes are on your team. That dumb hull shouldn't excist in this game. Those who use it are mults.

It's probably a love/hate relationship with this turret. I definitely think the time to lock on needs to be improved, it's way too long.

bruh I AGREE. This can be a turret and it has okay damage, BUT because of its long lock-on and its projectile speed, homing missiles head straight for walls, easy to dodge, and spread out nose, its pretty bad now. When you try to lock on to someone, it should at least save it for like 20 seconds. Damage could also be buffed. It's funny they buffed the Freeze because of low play rates. On the description of Striker, it references its low play rates, saying players don't "trust" this turret. Yet again, because of low play rates, they don't ever focus on this turret too. Meaning developers don't trust this turret too? XD?

Damage is fine - IF you hit it is a lot - especially with salvo.

There's no way they make it easier to hit while increasing damage.  I'd actually give up some damage to make the salvo actually useful.

Shaft has two modes that are regularly used.  Why should salvo be used so infrequently?

Salvo has its uses. It's actually more useful at short range than long.  Or if you see an enemy looking to charge you lighting him up with the laser can get him to abort the charge before it gets going. :)

Small tip: Launch your slavo. Whilein flight if it loks like it is gong to hit, press your DD.  The hits will be 2x even though the missiles left the tubes at 1x. If te salvo is a miss you save the DD and keep the cooldown active.

The very absolute most fun use for the salvo does not happen too often but satisfying when it does. You light up an enemy who runs for cover.  Also behind cover are 3-4 of is teammates.  The target arrives at the same moment as the salvo and everyone is invited to the splash party.

I mostly use arcade shots, but salvo is quite fun if you get it to work. You get a guaranteed kill against almost anything, one of maybe three two turrets that can destroy a heavy hull (with double damage). Salvo is more useful on no supply battles, especially old Polygon CP.

Yeah Striker in old Poly CP is like kid in candy store.

Played last night after posting the above. It debunks several points of "Conventional Wisdom" expoused here:

  • Striker is weak
  • Savlos are useless (I launched at LEAST 10 good salvos making at LEAST a dozen kills.)
  • Lower ranked players cannot do well against higher ranks.

Yes lol

you just need to hit the middle portion and a kill is guranteed

Honestly I seem to have a hard time in Polygon CP, which always puzzles me, as I consistently see Thunders taking top spots. Striker, in skilled hands, can behave like a Thunder, but with faster reload and a salvo mode. Of course, I am not really skilled, yet. I mostly use Twins/Titan on Polygon CP, which is definitely a kid in a candy store combo.

I definitely don't think Striker is weak, I got a good many of my crazy weekend kills using it. On a double damage, not much can stand up to it. Right now it is my favorite long ranged turret because it two shots hulls that Railgun will two shot, in a third the time. definitely one of the most fun turrets to use.

definitely one of the most fun turrets to use.

Agree to all 100 % excpet this part

I hate it when i have a bad team

i consider to be in a bad team if there is only me trying to do the main objective

and it will be so hard , you can not even land a shot in a bad team with Striker

I usually ignore my team to be honest. Of course battles where I know the players are different, but for the most part I play to complete my own objectives. I don't see how a bad team prevents you from landing shots, as that is determined by your skills.

1 vs 1, sure.

Bad teams tend not to be able to suppress better teams. The better teams are able to react more quickly because they are not under constant pressure.

Trying to get off a salvo takes 3+ seconds (an eternity in TO), and those enemies who are not under constant pressure will have the luxury of targeting the Striker before it can get a lock-on. Usually it's more than 1.  So every time it tries a lock-on it gets impacted by hits and often never achieves a lock-on.

One could argue turrets like Thunder could suffer same consequences - but not true. A Thunder can stay hidden behind bushes/tress and fire without warning. it's shot is instant and there's no beacon to announce it's presence. Striker can shoot-and scoot but it's missiles are slower and you can more easily see where the missile came from.

I find a giant gap in usefulness of striker when employed on the losing team. This gap is much wider than other turrets I've used. I've had top score in battle with other turrets, even while playing on losing team. Not so with striker.

(and i agree it's best to ignore tea (hot or cold) while concentrating in a battle)

Yeah, new scoring system or not it is no fun to be on a kill-spawned team. If my team is mounting an active resistance I'm learning to stick around. It is possible for comebacks. If your team is fighting hard the game's usually fun. And battle fund payout is usually acceptable.

And the gap is very wide in Small maps , i mean cramped maps , like Wolfeistein,Silence ...

But in Brest , Kungur , we have to be @Ninja's to do good in losing team

Funny story, I was on my first account using m2 striker with m2 mammoth in a highway Cp battle, and I was camping on the highest point in my teams base just throwing salvos left and right at the bridges while the enemies were too busy trying to cap the point they were at.

Eventually a couple enemies got mad and started targeting me within the last couple minutes of the battle.

More like they didn't care until they realized that I was the reason why they weren't capping any on the bridge points.

I don't use mouse controls. I just use the zxc keys for turret rotation, and it works very well for me.
