Sure... and... how often do salvos get used? 

 

Not often in higher ranks.

- the tanks are all so fast you can rarely get a lock-on before they find cover (or one of your own team-mates interrupts the laser :angry: )

- As soon as the laser appears half the enemies target the striker.  3+ seconds is almost an eternity when you are exposed.

Also in low ranks the Single shots are beneficial 

than almost getting lock and hit by team mate's  :ph34r:

 

Where salvo is/can be used effective is when tanks crowd up , like in JGR & When gold drops  :ph34r:

Just find a heavy and target him easy double + kills

I feel I am letting my team down in those decisive moments because,

 

1. there either is a stupid teammate in the way;

2. I forgot which barrel was loaded with a missile (yeah the game wants me to keep track of the barrel switching every second);

3. I happen to fire at an enemy who is moving and can't make the hit because of height difference in combination with leading the target;

4. Salvo took forever and the enemy noticed the laser and moves to cover;

5. I am on a ledge, lol potential is gone whatsoever;

6. Performing a groundpound but I'm firing from the wrong barrel;

7. Performing peek-a-boo but I'm firing from the wrong barrel;

8. Performing long range shots through obstacles but I'm firing from the wrong barrel;

9. Dictator teammates;

10. Viking enemies

 

It's not super bad but the thing is that Thunder can do all of the stuff Striker can even with lower DPS.. it has accuracy.

Far too often I just have to see the enemy dissapear because I can't freaking manage to land a missile due to the auto aim mechanism!

Guys I got a question

 

Days ago I found a Striker Dictator tanker that was capable for firing salvos without laser and reload time interval. I was wondering if that is normal, cause I thought TO changed it and might have missed a VLOG or something.

 

Speaking of which, I hope TO can change Striker into something like that w/ the balance of its reload and its capabilities. Its made for being a sentry to the team so TO must show it in general because my friend said its only good for CP mode, and mediocre in CTF in open maps/tactical medium maps.

 

And tankers with their Shaftophobia always run away when the laser is on so I hope TO can balance the laser, by a small 1/24 fraction of it.

Yes and that was a long time away , before Striker cam into game

Yes they did, yet we can still use some hacks like ignore tanks, camera*2, no recoil and in more unusual situations you can see cheats like speed hack, jump hack for golds and so on...

Nah man,

 

IKR lel

That is the Main downside of being a Striker player  :(

The shot you think 100% hit will be a miss most times

but when you try luck and go with instinct it will be hit

 

This problem can be overcomed by increasing the vertical auo-aim  :mellow:

It still owns though.. (in the right hands ofc)

 

But I admit those fly-bys right above enemy tanks are the most annoying thing when playing with striker. Not present in thunder or rail and could be fixed with slight vertical auto-aim during rocket flight. Or by increasing the projectile radius maybe

Why ?

cause less protection's { not one will be the right word  :ph34r: }

less resists, yes, I see 2 in the 1st screen though. At least 1 is quite common these days in most battles with legends, depending on game mode. In Juggernaut you'll see more.

The other reason is higher dps. M4 striker has 28% higher dps than thunder, which is after the recent buff of thunder. Thunder has stronger splash damage though.

Third reason is the immense burst damage with the salvo which makes it easier sometimes to get kills and thus get a higher score.

Fourth reason: it takes a lot of practice to hit most/90%+ single rockets and to recognise when using the salvo has a good chance of success.  Some call such things skill.

Almost forgot, striker also doesn't have damage reduction at larger distance.

Striker is ok on some maps that are quite open - like massacre.  And also when you are on a team dominating and can afford to sit there for 3+ seconds with that silly laser and not worry about getting destroyed.

 

Other than that it is junk.  That's why no one uses protection against it - they don't need it - it would be a waste of a module slot.

I rarely miss out on the first spot in any battle in any mode when playing with striker. And I quite rarely use the "silly laser". But when I do its 1 or 2+ kills guaranteed. And there is no need to use it since single rocket dps is strong enough.

Usually it is wise to stay quiet if you have 0 to little clue about something. But hey, as long as enough kiddies like you keep thinking that, I dont have to deal with too many resists huh ; )

 

And btw, striker is literally playable on every map except maybe Island. And the map you singled out - massacre - is actually the one where striker is hard to use on. Unless you stay put for the whole game and play with the "silly laser" that is. Because hitting single rockets on that map is a nightmare due to uneven terrain. I just got called a noob by a noob cause I used the word "kiddies" and apparently saying kiddies is an attempt to sound smart now and it is special "terminology" as well. Dude, are you like 7 or just mentally challenged? I could have called you much less nicer things if there weren't forum rules in the way.

I think I will stick to the ru forum from now on. At least I know the clueless trolls there and can autoignore them.

 

And btw, there are 2 first spots in team battles nubster.
